Honestly, you can make it look really good with good lighting and then just pull the exposure down, that will add a lot of detail to the image. That's what I do, and I get quite a few compliments on my camera quality.

This all confirmed/validated to me certain things I was thinking, and even better, I now have a practical set of tips to work with moving forward. Great video LO....I've only had my C922 for 2 weeks and I've learnt a few new things from you. Just a couple of points I should like to mention.....users here in the UK (and in a few other countries) should set the "flicker rate" to PAL 50hz as that is the system used here. Also, when the camera is set to Auto focus it will focus on whatever is nearest to it. This means that the background will be blurred if the main subject (usually someone's face) is some distance away from the background due to the "Depth of Field" effect that you get with all cameras (A.K.A. Depth of Focus). See Wikipedia for an explanation. Turning up the sharpness won't make the background any sharper, it will just introduce more "noise". Thanks again for the video....very helpful.

I use the C920 and love it. I've considered upgrading but the software discourages that. I have found that although my C920 lets me save my settings because I record in a room with a window I have to adjust daily ( which is no big deal) I do use the lights I'm gonna post below which were only $3 each at a hardware store and they work surprisingly well. They have a magnetic mount which I clip to the marker board in front of me for positioning.

Great video! Super helpful. I'm using Mac OS and OBS doesn't have a Device Configure button under my C922 video capture to adjust the settings. But if you adjust the C922 settings in Logitech Gaming Software and save them in there, it becomes the new default settings for OBS anyhow. Good Mac workaround. Oh and Mac users, download Logitech Gaming Software, not the new Logitech G-hub, it has a lot of install issues on Macs.
I too can't see the Configure Video button in OBS (iMac, High Sierra). G-Hub just doesn't work on my system, so I've also downloaded Logitech gaming Software which seems to be working so far...

lololol look who it is. Mine performs fine and also resets on reboot. Zoom doesn't go nearly as far in when I changed to 1080p recording.

Yes, the C922 does a pretty good job of hold 30fps. YOu would really have purposely try to crash the frame to get it below 30fps. Sorry for the late replay

You know, im torn, i recently did a web chat, and the other guys i was talking to were using a C920, the video looked great!! But at the same time, i heard logitech got rid of the logitech recording software for the C920, which was in my opinion, made it such a stand out camera compared to the C922. So either way, yourstill going to have to tweak your settings in OBS or other software

I just bought the C922 and I am having trouble getting the settings right on my Mac. The C920 has worked great for me and I thought this one was an upgrade. The one thing I don't like about this camera is the mirror effect. Is there any way to flip it? Thanks for your tutorials!
Thanks for the video! Any advice on changing the screen resolution for the C922 Pro? I plugged it into my Mac the other day that I use with a 34 inch 3440 x 1440 LG widescreen monitor (21:9 aspect ratio), and as soon as I plug it in, it takes away wide screen (left and right parts of monitor become black and the view is more "square" than "rectangle"). What's strange is that if I go to Mac display settings, it's still showing that I'm in 3440 x 1440 resolution, even though I'm clearly not. The sharpness and definition of the image is fine, I just seem to have less screen real estate to work with on my monitor when this is plugged in. Any advice on getting the C922 Pro to broadcast/work on a 3440 x 1440 monitor without changing the aspect ratio when I plug it in?

I'm thinking of buying this webcam. Is there anyway to get rid of that underwater sound in the microphone when you're speaking in the logitech settings? I'd rather not have 2 buy a separate microphone, and that does sound pretty annoying. Also, do you know if the logitech c930 also produces this underwater noise in the microphone?

Firmbie if you are streaming use 720p your viewers won’t notice the difference and you’ll get better performance. But if you have a crazy pc and super fast internet. Then you can stick with 1080, but your viewers still won’t notice the difference

You can make the settings in G Hub and save them so they will be permanent for all recording software's

Hi lo, the main issue I have with this camera is when I use it in obs or windows camera, the image of me flickers really bad, it's like the feed isn't stable, I have updated all of my drivers and tried the USB in all of my ports 2.0 and 3.0, I have reduced the frame rate and resolution settings but I can't seem to get a stable picture, I have a i5 skylake and gtx970 with plenty of ram, any ideas?

QUESTION: Will the Logitech c922 'Background Replacement technology' work correctly with a teleprompter. That is my only concern. If I buy a Logitech c922, an 10 inch I-pad, and a Parrot or Glide teleprompter, will the 'background replacement' work correctly.

tweed guitar the latest is the Logitech Brio, it's a 4k webcam that also does 1080p with some pretty friendly software. The c930e I believe is tailored for business but I've heard it has lots of issues for home users. The C920 is still a great camera today because of its price and easy to use recording software. C922 a little better camera then C920 but doesn't come with its own recording software.
