I love the race kings but only come in 2.2 which is pretty skinny by todays standards.
@@Obiutary true but I can't find any detriment to this besides the fact that that's not according to a current trend of wider tire's. In my personal experience tire's wider than about 2.25 have a slight tendency to be skiddish on loose ground. Put a tire insert in and install it on a rim wider than 25mm internal and you are golden. Of course there aren't any miracles to be expected from such tire in regards of grip or durability but it cuts the mustard just fine.
The 170 TPI Aspen ST in 29x2.25 is 5g lighter than the lightest 29x2.20 Race King Protection while offering a 29x2.40 version for modern day XC standards.
