@@jessevanderwijk What do you mean by "many" ?
"Don't know what their missing?" I know for sure they're missing out on failed education system you went through 😂😂😂
Im 13 and I think this song is good
Love this performance. ❤
George Gerswhin and this orchestra so perfectly encapsulates all the feelings of being in love, the joy, silliness, flirtatiousness, passion, joy, appreciation, romance. I cannot help but be overwhelmed with affection for the one I love when I hear this piece, I'm gonna lean her backwards and give her a big kiss when I see her next ❤ music is majesty and Orchestras like these are truly the pinnacle of human achievement. My appreciation for this is boundless.
Beautiful
I love this orchestra conducted by Andrés Orozco-Estrada. Though it can be observed many changes in the musicians, quality of interpretation never varies. Happy to find Clara at her flute. The brass with saxo sounds great. Trumpet magnificent. Strings as well. Thank you to HR FRANKFURT to allow us to enjoy the best performances.
Second that on Clara. She obviously feels, responds & contributes to the music most expressively, and draws us in to feel that way too...
Our local orchestra performed this piece yesterday.. what an experience it was to listen to this masterpiece with a full orchestra!
A quite underrated masterpiece of music !
Great Conductor and Orchestra too!
I first heard this when I was only six years old and to this very day I still love it. It brings back memories. In a peculiar way, it's haunting.
Gershin was phenomenal and so are the interpreters!
I hadn't heard this for Decades. So nice to recall Gershwin from my teenage years of musical discovery in the late '50s-early '60s... Your Orchestra and Conductor are gifted and spectacular. Great Mahler 6 and Shostakovich anything... I'll keep attending your virtual performances. Danke Schoen... 🎉🎉🎉
This goes into and through your heart. It is beautiful and thank-you.
Fantastic work by the director of the filming of this piece to time the right camera shots to key moments and the musicians performing them; the trumpet, glockenspiel, Celesta, violin, flutes - even the small snare part and the crash of the cymbals, not to mention the director of the orchestra. Wonderful! Thank you for posting this (especially without ads).
Andrés Orozco-Estrada - I LOVE how he looks at his orchestra the same as I proudly look at children in daycare to make their day better 😄😄😄😍😍😍😍 amazing!!!!!
Thanks for this performance. I had a few tears and loved it.
8:29 one of my fav trumpet solos
Me too
Beautiful conductor, beautiful music and beautiful people...!
I never really listened to Gershwin, after this performance he is in my mind.
No doubt by now you have heard the Rhapsody in Blue.
so extra ordinare

absolument magnifique SOMPTUEUX merci chers musiciens .
¡Magnífica Orquesta! ¡Great result for a team congratulations Andrés Orozco!
Love that circular breathing by lady baratone sax at the finale Brava!!
You are musician??
Amazing Concert and great sound tuba solo,BB flat!👍👏
Wonderfully amazingly fantastically remarkably beautiful!!!!!!!
We play this on the upcoming weekend. I love the interpretation and the outstanding musicianship of this fine orchestra. Great sound and nicely captured by the sound people!
Good luck !

A marvelous performance!

amazing.!
Outstanding performance! The rubato and other liberties taken by Orozco-Estrada are tastefully and beautifully implemented. I do wish the cameras would focus more carefully on solo instruments throughout.
Beautiful!😮😊
i wonder if Scott Joplin had lived a full life if he would have composed music like this come the 1920s and 30s
Súper ❤
Superba!
@3:49 -- 4:36 is my absolute favorite part of this arrangement even though it seems outside of the theme
Excellent!
EXELENTE DIRECTOR, Sabe y siente a Gershwin !!!!GRACIAS POR DARLO A CONOCER POR ESTE MEDIO
This song make me feel a little boy walk with his freinds that are lions in there and look something copper robot and his cute girlfriend. They are really make me in sky.
When will he drop “French guy in New York” 😫
I'm doing grade five theory and I saw a section of this that I had to transpose and saw it was from Gershwin, so I wanted to check it out.
This is art.
Fantastici !!!
I had this in my mind while making my driving licence...

They played all the notes in the correct order but getting Germans to swing might be asking a bit too much.
This interpretation is definitely aimed at more of the classical crowd

where is the clarinet solo?
You might have confused this piece with Cuban Overture which has a quite remarkable clarinet solo, right ?
@@Dylonely42 Or maybe Rhapsody in Blue

Competently played though it lacks some of the playful jazzy verve Gershwin intended it to have, the swing of it. Still, nice job.

@UCGuPRSUD7ow6lGKgqQ-tFHg : I don't agree in relation with conductor's movement on stage. He is one of today's best conductors in the world. (Remembrer Bernstein). However, I do totally agree with you on the fact of the horrible fashion adopted by conductors of wearing pijamas instead of tuxedos...
Bin nur wegen schuel hier
kanye should have sampled this
You are musician????
Great interpretation, but too slow imho.
Great sound, technique etc. But where is the jazz?? Nothing is laid back, no swing, just too "correct" for my taste.
Not a fan of the violin concertmaster's tempi choices as well during his solos.
Agreed. The orchestra and conductor should be locked in a cinema and made to watch the film over and over again until they can play this properly as the MGM Symphony Orchestra under Johnny Green did.
Das soll ja *_Deutschjazzklänge_* Und Ich mag es. (And I used German on purpose)
Where is the jazz? Here!! In LA kzhead.info/sun/eKutYJRooJOplp8/bejne.html
I totally agree.
Very difficult piece to learn and perform. Obvious to a strings player is that George Gershwin never played a string instrument. Unbelievably difficult passages that are dreadful to play
turgid, misses the point.
What exactly is the point?
The Gershwin spirit was missing. A very meh performance.
You're right!! A European interpretation of an American classic.
@@bobhourigan7626 I'm glad that orchestras from the rest of world play this. The conductor, by the way, is from Columbia; that makes him an American.
@@josephanthony8585 , thanks for your open-minded comment. America is not only the USA, despite there are many people who still seem to ignore this.
I agree.. and for the additional comments he means the USA...not South America...Gershwin is a Brooklyn New Yorker.. Not from Bogota Columbia.
Ofc, Gershwin is from the USA but my contention is that if you are from the Americas, you are an American.
