True story about Brent Barry: I was a kid going to a Clippers game at the old Sports Arena. An hour before the game, Barry was practicing jump shots. Three things: 1) He was shooting them a few feet in front of the half court line. 2) He was shooting them like free throws. His feet didn't leave the ground. 3) He was in the middle of an interview so he wasn't really looking at the basket. He never missed a shot.

Cosmic Pulse Clyde Drexler was my favorite. He never gets respect. People don’t remember his great dunks and athleticism just his one championship late in his career and that he wasn’t as good as Jordan. But he has better in game dunks and dunked an 11foot hoop.

Clyde was amazing and tough luck to share his prime with the GOAT...one of these dudes that kids call "the garbage players that MJ won against"...the 92 Blazers would have beaten any team but the Bulls...so many great players that will be forgotten because of MJ...true greatness...Ewing, Drexler, Barkley, Stackhouse, Kemp, Payton, KJ, Robinson, Stockton, Malone, Starks, and the list goes on...an entire decade of great players without a title...imagine MJ had not retired...guess we can all agree they would have won 8 str8 titles...Olajuwon is already forgotten despite the 2 titles...if Jerry Krause had not broken up the Bulls one year too early one could argue 9 titles...10 might have been too much as MJ was getting old...

Probably one of my top 5 fav nba moments
He is the goat
how can he have dunked the ball if he missed it?????
0:40 lebron couldve easily dunked at the free throw line considering his hand was still high up the basket
Serge may have the dunk "measured" as the longest from the free throw line, but he had already lost hang time and almost didn't finish the dunk. Michael hanged in air and didn't start coming down till he was past the backboard. MJ wasn't trying to make the "longest" dunk. If so, he could've taken a half step back and still made the dunk that Ibaka did.
well by that logic zach could have done farther since he literally windmill on the freethrow line
@@kksprstn6186 And I would agree with that. I mean, who is it that determined the point of takeoff as the one & only deciding factor?
The only player I have seen in a game where their last step was at least 15' from basket was Julius Erving. I saw Erving do it in the ABA vs NBA all star game I think in the Houston Astrodome. Sports Illustrated even did a story on it. Erving made a steal and the only person back for the NBA was Oscar Robertson. SI had a picture of Robertson looking up as Erving who was getting to the rim. His last step was dead on the foul line.

Forgot Reggie Miller...those Pacers where the only team to take the Bulls to 7 games...Heat with Mourning and Hardaway was also a tough matchup...I probably 4got more teams...
Indeed, bro. And he actually has mashed it on a couple people too ,man. Clyde was dope.
Why Ibaka one? He's taller and jumped from the same spot mike did except mike actually dribbled the entire way.
Right
U know its a good dunk when they're in the air for half a decade
Serge IBAKA killed it no question.... Best I ever SEEN... with room to SPARE...
I wanna see a half court dunk like on NBA JAM
just got out the sega last night.. still better than most games today bro
+K Fraz that game was awesome! I loved the fact that you had cheat codes for many different celebrities.
+ralexlu did he delete his comment 😂😂😂
I want to see a full court dunk in nba
those Olympians could jump from the top of the key or 3
I bet no one could do a dunk that impressive in game other than LBJ
Vince Carter
+Alejandro Madera yea, but not near the free throw line
doc j did it in mid game
If lavine did it, that would be insane.
Aaron Gordon did and it wasn't on fast break
There's a reason why they called him Airborne Jordan. Michael would just takeoff and soar through the air with that ball. You can't really appreciate it without watching live back in the day. It was quite the sight to see.
I feel like it’s mostly impossible but imagine someone actually dunking from the 3 Point Line
Ibaka a goat for his dunk
Jordan the only one that didn't start running full speed until after the half court and dribbled the ball the whole time, legend!!!
That 87’ Jordan with the double clutch. Made it look so easy!!!
I stopped watching basketball a long time ago dont know who number 5 is but wtf that shyt was insane
“No homo, he’s longer than you expect” - Jokic
the last guy dunking was the only person whose feet were behind the free throw line
InkCricket C so was Scottie Pippen
So was mj
InkCricket C Lebron barely missed it
I miss playing basketball as a kid now I can barely jump
Wilt did it without a running start. He is the reason there is a rule that you must have both feet on the line when shooting a free throw.
Dang Lebrons the only one who's was during a game, just imagine the possibilities... Gone forever, plus he actually slammed it down with force
Kobe's dunk on the swimming pool was the longest i think.
I am 6 2" tall and yesterday I dunked from a bit behind the intermittent line which is located in frond of the FT line.
Yeah Lebron doing that in a game was Gold! WOW
Lebron did it in a game. Seriously man, that is golden.
Many players have Eddie Jones MJ Vince Carter Kobe did 14ft and what is impressive is Iverson teammate Victor Sky Page 6'3 did it in a Georgetown game
I think what makes Jordan free throw dunk more special or better is that he did it off the dribble and not with carrying the ball
Michael Jordan made the free throw line jump correctly and made it look good too. He was bouncing the ball all the way which is harder than holding up the ball.
Agreed. Jordan had one of the best long jumps I've ever seen in Bball
Michael and Scottie dribbled the whole way there...they win!
Only MJ and Pippen's dunks are legal. They could actually do in a real game.
I mean Lebron did it in a game.... Did you watch #10?
+TheJ24 Yeah but travels. That's why it's #10.
+Manuel F no he didn't he took two long steps
+Manuel F you're allowed two steps on a layup or dunk..... He dunked it
+TheJ24 LeBron traveled, took a dribble and THEN took his two steps... But yeah... MJ, Pip and LeBron got the only "legal" free throw line dunks it seems...
You got to be kidding, 10 longest dunks without Clyde's gliding is ridiculous.
Whoa whoa wait! I didn't know Pippen dunked from the FT line 😶 I thought I saw all of the Dunk contests 😩🤦🏽♂️
you forgot mj dunking from way behind the foul line and dr. J
Omg Theirs a Snake at 3:19
Why would their be a snake at 3:19 that is weird in the morning
LoL KD is the ultimate snake
That's serge ibaka
why did you choose to name yourself fortnite dad?
@@fungamers2083 dumby look who highfived him
Brent Barry wearing a warm up jacket.
All great dunks....But Zach is on a different level....The camera angle doesn't show it here but from side on Zach is almost looking down into the rim about half way through....He easily had the distance to cover the rest of the pack but no one gets as high....
they didnt show mj 1988
there was longer ones then tht
Power Gear ye they did
How you gonna say one of those was better than the other when half of them were the exact same
Where was Darrell “Dr. Dunkenstein” Griffith’s 1985 dunk contest free theow line dunk? He’s only 6-4 & pulled it off! 🤔
El mate de Serge Ibaka es el mas lejano.....SENSACIONAL!!!!
Zach Lavine alley oop ?
Clyde Drexler. Look him up.
qrthrse1 absolutely, free throw line in contest and a foot over the line in a game against the Lakers
He did it regularly. So did sone other's.
Apparently Serge Ibaka is also known as Se"DunkBuster"
Funny, Scotty Pippen actually looks to be the most legit "free throw line" dunker at 2:25. Much further back than others.
jordan's 85 dunk was behind the line. his 87&88 dunks were not though.but still damn impressive that scottie could match jordan's dunk given he was 28 at the time and jordan was only 22 when he dunked from behind the line.
@@joeblow7008 Nope, look closely, he crossed the line by about 1-2". I have looked many times and it is hard to argue he was behind the line. Unless I missed some video from 1985, I stand corrected. Pippen was truly on or behind the line and not over AT ALL on his jump. I think Pippen's was more impressive - plus he had one that was nearly that far in a game - making Pippen in rare company.
@@tmeo9712 pippen's was more impressive ill give u that, however his foot was clearly on the line. but i say its more impressive cus he was 6 years older than jordan was in 85, but jordan's 85 dunk was behind the line, he placed a piece of tape down that was partially on the line and partially behind it, that may be throwing you off. his toe was on the tape and just a fraction of an inch behind the free throw line. in 87 half his foot was in front of the line and in 88 his entire foot was in front of the line
0:56 that man in the back round did Illuminati
Man mj is so graceful in the air
Wow i didnt know serge took it from the foul line that dunk is just underrated as heck
Serge Ibaka is defiantly a underrated big man in the league.
