I love that Justin is not trying to overshadow Kid Laroi and is staying low so he can shine on his own. He is so humble.
Only he was able to do it without trying while drunk and while forgetting the words of the song. Justin performing drunk and killing the vocals better than I've ever heard him do before was the best version of this song. I'm not even a Bieber fan but that performance alone won me over.

@@clu7168 its a well known thing that you can put vocals through autotune live. You just have a direct link from the mic to the software. Plus is rly clear that both of them are using autotune for this, I don't think its a bad thing tho. It fits the tone of the song but I do think they went overboard. Justin is genuinely a good singer so he probably didn't need it

He's my most favorite male American singer.. Idk why but justine voice gaves me chill, he's just relax but exude different colors.
But his live is not as good as in the MV..... And you can't argue about that.... I have listened to his many performances and some are really good while some are worse.... I personally like the young bieber but not too much now..

Song is catchy but the vocals in this performance are mediocre af but they get away with it because of the vocal effects. The Kid Laroi can't even do the flicks into falsetto in the chorus they're from the backing track.

Justin's performance was a lot more stable than kid laroi. I guess being in industry for more than a decade do make a difference.
Plus he's actually extremely talented, he has good vocals..he redeemed himself from the spoilt brat that he was 7-8 years ago, matured into a good singer. But I guess that happens to a lot of children who become famous, when Baby came out, he was only 14/15.
I think another reason is kid laroi’ s part is more difficult to sing
God gave him talent and took his humanity.
It’s definitely cool, you can see the experience when you compare both of their performances.
kid laroi started off rapping and then moved his vocals up to singing, JB been singing from day 1, laroi doing really well considering his only like 17 and from little sydney

Adding the extra synths during Justin's part was an excellent idea. Compare it to the original. When Beiber says the lyrics "never left me empty handed" you can hear the new synths and they help amplify the melody and the song even better.

I do love this song, and I genuinely love their vocals and performance. But the live version is definitely held back by the fact that the song kind of layers the vocals on top of each other, meaning he literally *has* to have the weird cut-offs in the middle of the lyrics.
I truly agree they haven't reached their full potential and the regular version it has better control and man those random breaks in the live are just wierd!

I think they aren't lined up with the backing tracks very well -- or Laroi isn't. There is one point where he is messing with his pants and his mouth isn't even moving and the singing just keeps on going.
Yeah, as soon as it began, I was thinking to myself that it doesn't sound right. Very choppy and distorted, honestly, it would have been better to cut out the backing track entirely and just let them, y'know, SING the way singers are meant to. Too many bells and whistles brought this performance down.
