The spoon trick helped my grandma's uncle's dad's best friend's niece's daughter.
I knew it would
@@EliseEcklund So your dog?
I somehow understood that the first time I read it. 💀👍
But now I’m pregnant!! And your Grandmas uncles dads best friends nieces daughters boyfriend (who is also my boyfriend.) just ran away!! Man! I can’t believe I fell for the spoon trick... Again! Damn you Elise. Edit: I just used the piano trick and now we’re married! Thanks Elise!
there is a spoon - careful there. the agents are watching...
This amount of work to fake piano skills is actually just turning into learning real piano skills.
I play piano and your comment isn't true
@@redasweis9010 i play piano and it is true, she is playing chord inversions.
@@DATrB15yeah it’s true lol this comment is true and I am a piano player too!
Well… that’s like saying being able to strum open is being able to play guitar. Sure I guess you’re technically playing it, but at such a basic level that it doesn’t really count. You’re also missing out on learning all the boring but important stuff about what you’re actually playing and why, which is how you actually learn. Which I guess illuminates that this isn’t so much as learning but memorizing. Sure you can memorize this, but unless you actually learn you’ll never be able to apply the skill outside of these very limited and simple confines.
Is it simple? Yes. Does it require practice and muscle memory to some degree to perform? Yes. Can this be used outside of this specific order of notes to learn from it? Yes. Then is it piano skills even if it is simple? Yes. (According to me that also plays piano)
the spoon trick always works, my friends never suspect anything
That’s awesome
Amazing 😂
Nice
Same
In my experience, the first trick even works without an actual piano. You can really impress your friends just drawing these sounds out of thin air.
That’s a great idea. I can’t believe I didn’t think of that
Just do what George Harrison did and draw a keyboard on the street with chalk. Just don't get run over by the bus when it comes to take you away. 😉
@@gregorymoore2877Please don't be long, though!
@@EliseEcklundbc.. you don’t think..
Why did I think she was gonna Rickroll us or something bro😭🤣
Samee
Bro same 😂
I have a secret piano hide take the ipad put Rush E and put it backwards put it to the piano your friend don’t know to do 0:24
same! I was expecting rick roll or für elise but the notes weren't quite right for either!
I though she was bouta play megalovania 💀
Instructions unclear: I don't have any friends to impress
That’s ok
When you use this trick, friends will spawn in your room and will instantly be impressed by your skills. Elise forgot to mention that part.
At the next event with extended family, impress your relatives so they don’t think you’re a mess(speaking for myself too)
Make a youtube video then.
Friends? I don't even have any spoons...
Elise is proof not all heroes dont wear capes.
Go away your everywhere chicken’s bff 😂

All my friends think I'm a piano master thanks to this!!!!! They used to think i was a stupid loser who couldn't do anything. Thank you soo much Elise i don't know what i would have done without you!!!!!
Congrats! Now you’re a “stupid loser” with fake piano skills! 😂😉
I graduated fake music class thanks to you. I wouldn’t have any friends right now if it wasn’t for you teaching me how to fake play the piano. All the men are lining up for me now.❤
I used the first trick but I took it up a notch. I used 2 bluetooth speakers on either side of the piano. One had a piano track coming from it while the other had a vocal track. Now my friends think I can play piano AND sing at the same time!
now you just need 2 spoons
I used 12 speakers for a choir. That's how many spoons I had. Now my friends think I'm blessed and angels in heaven sing with me.
As a pianist, I am impressed by these tricks.
Thanks!

Beethoven learned to play the piano after watching this. He composed Fur Elise as a gesture of thanks.
GOOD ONE!
THAT IS SO CLEVER. OH MY GOD
Solid stuff Elise, I've been looking for a tutorial like this for a while now. However unironically I can't be the only self-taught person who has learned by just learning one trick and "cheat" at a time to the point where you can eventually tie everything together and make it sound good.
As a pianist myself, I can confirm that these are in fact, the fakest skills I've ever seen.
yo big fan
Just go for it! Don‘t be shy to play an instrument! This is the shortest piano lesson, but its so good ! Because it eliminates the fear to touch and play a „complicated“ instrument like a piano. Just try it and fool around! It will get to you! Make Musik, be creative! You don’t have to be a „master“ to be creative! 🤗
I've been tryin' and foolin' round for almost a year now. IT DID NOT GOT TO ME
Found this on April 1st and got more and more confused on why this was a prank And now I've been tricked into having actually learned real information. Your long game skills are on point.
she's a tricky one, she is!
Thanks for a mini lesson Elise!
anytime!
Damn that spoon trick...instantly got a record deal!
I am a very new fan, YT recommended you yesterday. It was a ukulele video. I absolutely love you, your humor, your speaking cadence, the freedom you feel to be silly, your view on life, all totally refreshing! You make me laugh and that is a gift to the world, laughter!
Contrary to what the subtitles say at 0:07 , I'm convinced Elise says "I've been pretending like I can play piano for the past 2 years even though I really CAN."
- right -- (at 0:12 -- "can")
how to make a pianist cringe:

Thank you so much! So helpful 🧌
Thank you so much for the tutorial.
I am SO here for this. I've wasted so many years without these deep insights and caused myself a whole heap lot of stress and strain. Thanks for bringing it back to the basics of 123 - 12 - 1 spacing and keeping it real. ;)
Why does this actually sound really good? I've been fooling myself and my friends with this trick for about a year now and it actually works
Congrats on over 4 mil subs.thats alot
Thank you!!
I love how this is funny and actually helpful
Thank you so much for making this very clear and simple to follow!!

I needed this so bad
I've been claiming to be learning piano to my relatives, this helps my story so much. Gonna use this at the family gathering tonight. 🙃
So why not actually learn piano
Idk. Procrastination got the better of me I guess....
@@SingleAsaPringle28As a mediocre pianist, I’d say: 1. Get started with some nursery songs, they’re often easy and quick to learn. If you’re learning things quick, it gives motivation to try more:) 2. Press the pedal basically ALWAYS, it hides almost all sloppy playing from a casual listener. Only lift it very shortly once it starts to sound jumbled. (Or in the case of this video, lift it very shortly when you switch hand positions) 3. Just try stuff out and have fun! Smashing notes, playing over a track, figuring out the notes for your favourite pop songs… Whatever you want! The most important things (in my opinion) are the enjoyment in playing and the feeling of accomplishment when you learn a song.
Tysm!! this helps a ton :)
@@SingleAsaPringle28 You can also use the same pattern starting on two other notes she didn't mention - C gives you C major, E gves you E minor. You can play a lot of music with just those six chords. Hint -- it will probably be easier to play the right hand if you use your ring finger for the top note instead of the middle finger. For another version, start with your right hand thumb on the *next* same note as the left hand (skip 6 keys), then skip 1 key and play with your pointer finger, then skip 1 key and play with your ring finger Have fun!
The first tip was really helpful I should try it
How did I miss this upload 9 days ago? Loving your humor as always, Elise! God bless you and that guy you shared a room with on that cruise that one time! XP
Good tutorial and nice chord progression... Dm, F, Am, G, repeat. To make a bigger impression play the left hand in octaves (google that if you don't know what it is).
Love your videos. Your amazing. 💖
As a composer for games, this triggers me to the point I want to scream.

If you wanna fake piano skills just only play the black keys. You'll be pressing 2 at random with your left hand, while pressing random right hand black keys to any rhythm. It's guaranteed to sound decent

Elise with a great piano tutorial
No one has ever packed so much genius in to such a short video ❤
Fakes teaching one fake piano skills, but teaches some actual piano skills. Thats some quality buffoonery and deception that takes actual skill to pull off. Pretty skillful!

That was some legit piano trickery. Next, find the keys for playing the opening part of Joy To The World. It's much easier than you think.
I love that you made this entire video without saying the word arpeggio one time.
"Good luck" Yep. Cause that's definitely the only way I'll impress anyone with a piano. Luck.
Honestly? Pretty good tutorial for something that actually sounds really pretty.
Idk if you do this on purpose or if it's just how you are but i love that deadpan expression
Im very proud of myself and my goofy lil music theory skills cuz i actually understand why it sounds good, its just an arpeggiated 2-4-6-5 progression in the key of C
or a i-III-v-IV in D dorian
This was life changing
So happy to hear that

I confirm the spoon trick. I tried a fork, but it didn’t work. It was just not tuning properly.
100% true
I have one of those electric pianos that has a setting where you can pick any one of around 100 songs, and no matter what key you hit it plays the correct note. It's insane how satisfying it is to be able to play Debussy's Claire de Lune note-perfect without having had to put in a second's worth of practice lol.
You’re so nice, I like your videos I watch them every single day And today I’m watching one right now
