I'm a man of 59 years old who's been raised on such as Black Sabbath, Motorhead and the similar.Not inclined to too tender feelings,but...When i first listened to a song of Taylor Swift,something urged me to get to know her better.Out of a pure curiosity I listened to a few more of her songs and to my great surprise i realised i liked them all!!!As a result of my curious search I found out there was an immaculate songwriter whose lyrics is a high class poetry.Well, I feel deep respect to her creativity and to her personality(after i studied her biography and some facts about her)...Wish her all the best...

When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In the Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. Longtime fan of the artists she collaborated with here. Getting this song and video done so fast at peak of lockdown is one of the most impressive feats in music history. I’ve always respected her even when her music wasn’t to my taste. As her skills and talent evolved her music has begun to align with my taste in music and I grow to respect her even more. Since then her achievements touring in 2023 have amazed me. Her energy, strength, vulnerability, kindness, intelligence, humor and grace make her a gift to us all.

When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In the Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. It just occurred to me after the millionth listen that "you put me on and said I was your favorite" means this meaning of "put on": an act or instance of putting someone on. a prank or pretense, especially one perpetrated or assumed in mock seriousness; hoax; spoof. affected manner or behavior; pretentiousness. Because of the lines about him leaving, running, and haunting her what ifs and thinking she sees him everywhere, like in the grocery line. And her "knowing" he'd come back to her (she knew nothing but thought she knew everything when she was young). And when she felt like an old cardigan under someone's bed, he put her on (lied) and said she was his favorite. I totally never got this meaning before.
