Good behind the scenes from a your perspective As someone who has eye issues it's NOT ALWAYS THE BEST thing to have a screen right in front of your eyes In fact earlier in the Keynote during the watchOS 10 announcement one of the health features in watchOS 10 was designed to help reduce an eye issue I believe it's myopia in children by letting them know if they're holding an iPad or iPhone too close to their eyes and yet Vision Pro might have contradicted that feature in watchOS 10

I totally understand why you did the all nighter. Turned out incredibly awesome. The event itself was great, I felt like I was there. Your two questions were so on point- did you get an answer to them at all? I'm kind of hoping that battery is good, but not sure how large it would be based on the shape and size of the Vision. Whether in cars or electronics, hopefully they can find something to replace Li-ion, that is lighter and maybe less vulnerable to fire. This might have been your best one yet- you didn't want to be anywhere else but here and you could see how pumped you were.
Your “quick take / note” def my highlight. If you don’t ask, you’ll never know. Re the Apple Vision Pro - I’m a true believer that Apple priced out mainstream consumers so aficionados and the super targeted audience can use the device and provide solid feedback for iteration. Next Gen and even a “lite” version will def be a super super interesting product.

With regards to the health risks of VR, we've learned a few things in the past years: - The screens are not nearly as bright as real life. The brightness will for the foreseeable future not be an issue. What might be an issue is one that we already know of smartphones: using bright screens before bed might be bad for sleep. I expect that Vision Pro will have night shift to counter that. - The lenses in a VR headset have a fixed focal distance. Most are around 2 meters. So your eyes will focus like you're looking at something two meters away. The problem is that when you look at something close to you, this might cause eye strain, because your using a focus distance of 2 meters on an object virtually closer to you. There is research at meta (and I think at Apple too) to mitigate that and maybe even have dynamic focal distance, but the Visual Pro has not yet. That said: most applications don't require having objects close to your face. But taking off the headset every now and then to look into the distance might still be a smart thing to do. - XR headsets, including the Vision Pro, have a minimum age requirement of 13. This is because there is very little known about the effect of XR on developmental progress in childeren. It might be just fine, but because we don't know, Meta and Apple stay on the safe side.

I am excited to see where the Vision Pro goes, but also I have the same mixed feelings. It feels dystopian when interacting with other people, i.e., in the clip with the child and the soccer ball is where I noticed my feelings on this. However, I don't get the same sense when using it independently, but does that lead to increased social isolation?

Another great day in the life! Fun and fresh, like we all are there with you! Have your read the book, 1984? It is about closed perception of the world - only seeing what "they" want you to see. I think the headsets are cool, but not something that would be healthy as a daily wear...
It's expensive but a great concept. I wouldn't want it to replace my phone but got use at home it's great! I remembered the rumors that it would replace the iPhone and i thought that would be a mistake. I'm a Google Pixel user anyway but I've owned several Apple products and I still like Apple. Maybe someday I'll get a MacBook Or something. I used to have a Black MacBook 2007 version. Those were the days!
Very nice vid! I like how it was fast paced and conveyed the excitement of being there! Can't believe it's your first time there, I'd have thought you've been to all the big tech campuses a million times each by now. I think Apple has the most beautiful campus of all the big tech companies even though that's not who I'd most want to work for. I wouldn't call the goggles dystopian yet until I see how they handle the data. I mean even now everything you click on is tracked and sold so it's not too too different yet I don't think. The health impact on your eyes (like you mentioned) is more a concern of mine right now. I know a lot of people criticized the price but I think it's actually really reasonable for how much tech is crammed into a mobile form factor like that. I'm pretty sure it outclasses the Hololens 2 for the same price. The only headset I've tried is the HTC Vive one and it was cool but I'm sure nothing like this. Will be super interesting if in 2025 we're talking about Vision Pro's being sold out everywhere and selling on ebay with huge markups or if it's a big flop haha. It does genuinely feel groundbreaking but does it get mass adopted right when a non-pro version comes out? I don't know. Btw, hope you're staying safe with the air quality stuff going on. I happen to be in Europe right now or else I'd be affected too. I cannot wait until you can get your hands on it for a review! I have a good feeling it will be soon! Out of ALL the videos I’ve watched on the headset you are the only one concerned about health aspects of having the lens and eye strain so close thank you for caring it worries me to. Sure Apple will say they’ve tested it and are sure its ok but really have they tested using it for hours over days, months even years the future years will be interesting to see who sue Apple or try to claim it ruined their eyesight. Pretty sure microsoft hololens when it came out was a similar price. Vision pro is marketed at the pro business market but i'm sure once apple milk them and developers have few years to build apps they will bring a consumer less pro version for mass market at 1k. hopefuly this won't just peter-out like 3d tv's did and have a usefull real world daily use case rather than a one time use gimmick.

Dystopian yep, Ready player one sure, Cost is laughable. This is a goal for them that is still even with this 5-10 years of iteration away. Great video, even if it cost you a red eye and a night lost of sleep. What struck me watching the presentation is how much apple is STEAL...err Mimicking Google features Like Screen Call and dictation. Keep up the good work and I look forward to your next video.
The cost of Vision Pro is VERY LOW for what you get.
@@Gokhanaj really what do you get? An overpriced VR set that is expensive cause we blew the budget making it work. 2 4k displays inside that are micro led and way over thunk optics. Yes it will be wonderful. Just not 3500 wonderful for most.
