Yang Jungwon. I’ll start by talking about your musicality, more specifically, your voice. It’s unrelated to the technicality or abilities that you have, but rather the rarity of your vocal tone. It’s that stunning, husky, resounding characteristic that completely isolates your voice from any others I’ve ever heard. The way you annunciate your words and just automatically know how and when to stress intonation makes your voice beyond charming. Your voice always sounds exactly as it does in the studio version of your songs, if not better, and that is truly most astounding. As dream-like as your voice is, you are just as fluent of a dancer. Your vigor is vastly present in every choreography and every moment you dance. It’s as if you don’t need to train on the finer movements in your choreography, but you just innately know to smooth them out for a more solid performance. To quote an Engene I once saw make this statement, it looks as if you are floating on air when you dance. Overall, as an artist of only one year, you sure have initialized quite the revolution in the way we perceive music and dance today. You are the sole embodiment of the art of performance, and it’s clear from the level you are at now, that you were just born with it. As much as I love your musicality, I love your personality all the same. One of the first traits I noticed you possess is that you are high-spirited. Even when you are feeling a bit weary, you don’t lose your signature smile and always keep your head up. You are also blatantly courageous. When you are nervous, or timid, or trying what you never have before, you don’t back down from it. You’re beyond humble and there are several instances of your actions and words that confirm this. Most notably to me, you are undeniably entertaining. You are unexpectedly funny, always teasing and poking fun of others at the wittiest of times. Above all, you are selfless and most affectionate to those who you love the most. I know your members can attest to this the most. You praise them all for their own goals and hobbies and show such interest in the many different aspects of their lives. You listen so attentively when they speak and you know so much about them. They can completely be themselves around you, and vice versa. If a member isn’t confident or becomes critical about themselves in any way, you find a way to make them see the ways in which those areas flatter and compliment the group as a whole. You are the very heart of Enhypen, and I know they look to you as a role model in every way. What I also love about your relationship with your members is that you lean on them just as much as they do you. It is just who you are to ensure your members’ happiness and satisfaction is prioritized. I heard a saying that a team is only as good as their leader, and because you put your heart and soul into Enhypen, your genuine intentions for the group’s success are being recognized and awarded to you. I know you will raise them well and they will evolve into the people they are always meant to be. You will always be their brother; their family. Thank you for changing your members lives for the better, and for being responsible for some of the greatest memories that shape who they are. I want to personally thank your parents and family for raising you and bringing you into the world in the way that they have. I know you want to repay them and give back to them all that they have to make your dreams a reality. I urge you to look to your family and lean on them when you need them. There is no battle you fight that will be too overpowering that your family can’t help you with, or help you win altogether. They know you, understand you, and can support you in ways that I know we can’t, so remember to continue to always put them first! Even if you feel you’ve come up short or made a mistake, your parents are proud of you either way as they just want you to be who you are. I know they will always love you and you honor them with every step that you take along your journey. As Engene, we keep them in our hearts and long to become charitably cognizant of those around us; studious and driven toward or work, school, and goals; and harbor the love and teachings of those of whom provided us with an upbringing. Jungwon, we’ve spent a lot of time together and it truly is wondrous that we are able to find solace from each other when Enhypen has never really gotten the chance to meet their fans in person without some type of regulation. You are our beacon of hope and always help us to rise above any struggles. Perhaps the most touching of the countless ways you make it known that you’re always here with us is the frequency in which you share your condition with Engene. You speak with us on a regular basis and are curious about how we spent our day as well. This might not amount to much to you, but I know that several more Engene would feel alone if not for you. The way your voice is breathy and soft at some points, then energetic and alluring the next adds this sensational experience to the music you sing. Your voice naturally accommodates to any genre or tempo and solidifies Enhypen’s style as individual from any other artists out there. You put your entire being into what you sing and make sure it has a lasting impression on those who are fortunate enough to hear it. You just have that voice, and it is rare for somebody to have so much enchantment through singing in the way that you do, but you were always meant to open the world’s eyes of to what music can do through your unmatchable vocal ability. All the same, it is not debatable that you are one of the best dancers of this generation; and that goes beyond just K-pop artists. Watching you dance is like watching a single note of music travel through your body and spark a fire in each one of your bones. You truly let yourself go and it is only when you dance that we are able to see the most liberated and authentic you. You have this sensual and tempting gaze that makes it impossible for your audience to dare avert their eyes for even a second. Your moves are sharp and clean, and you fuel them with this intense hunger to release music through movement. You leave no detail of any choreography untreated. You truly live up to, and exceed so much the title that has been given to you as “The Ace.” You are more than well-rounded, you are an expert and the best in every musical aspect as it gets. Already, though it is still fairly early on in your musical career, every single second of training that you had is always present in all of your performances, down to the last dance practice. You were born for the spotlight and the stage; but you were really meant to touch the hearts of people everywhere with your embodiment of a true musician. As much as I love your musicality, I love your personality just as much. Despite how you have been one of the greatest musical acts for some time even before your debut, you are one of the most humble people I've ever seen. On top of it he's so damn charismatic that given more opportunities he can shine so much more. He has such a unique voice, what's stopping them from giving him more lines? Jay. There is so much to talk about when it comes to you, and I don’t know where to begin, but I’m going to try and start with your musicality; more specifically your voice. It has this coolness and this trademark edge to it that distinguishes from that of others. There is this subtle grit-like texture to it that makes it stand out in no matter what you sing. I know that another reason your voice is so beloved is because you sing with so much passion and there is no mistaking the emotions that you incorporate into each song. It can be tricky to rap sometimes, but you do it so naturally which I feel adds to the prowess that Enhypen’s music is comprised of. As igniting as your vocals are to Engenes’ hearts, in shows even more how felicitous you were to join Enhypen because you are a born dancer. At the core of all your moves is your strength; and I believe this is where lies your influence as a dancer. Your moves are so sharp and angular; leaving the choreography as a whole looking so effortless and fluid. I thought I was blown away when I saw you on stage, but I when I see you freestyling, having fun, and just feeling the flow of the music, that’s when my breath gets taken away. You acquire this intensity; and it is apparent in every aspect in your dance from the music fueling your moves to your heart-stopping facial expressions. Your technique is indescribable. Already, you have transformed the type of music that is defining our culture and the way that it is used to bring together millions of people across the world. There’s absolutely nothing that you can’t achieve, so I encourage you to keep unapologetically pursuing your music career. Thank you for sharing your voice, dance, and the power of performance with those who feel powerless right now. As much as I love your musicality, I love your personality all the same. What kind of person would I be if I didn’t mention one of your most prominent qualities; and that is your humor. I swear, your jokes are like a remedy. You can bring so many people together by making them laugh, and that is a special gift that not everybody has. Next, I just have to comment on your love for clothing and fashion. You have to have the most fanciful fashion sense and you always look so dapper. On that note, though you have a civilized and put-together demeanor about you, you have this gentle side and one of the biggest hearts a person could have. I know that nobody knows this better than your members. There’s still so much time left to be with them, but you act like you’ve grown up together all your life. You deserve to be in Enhypen because of your love for its group and its members just as much as you do for your raw talent. You are undoubtedly at the center of your members laughter-filled days. You are the motivation that keeps them constantly moving and working toward a better Enhypen. I love that each of them are meaningful to you in their own ways, and that you have create such a different synergy with each of them. We all know how much you like to have fun, but when it comes time to address issues the members are having, nobody is there faster than you. You are just an easygoing person and I thank you for being somebody your members can be themselves around. You are their family when away from family and even when they start to miss them, they have you and that will always be more than enough for them to keep going. Thank you for being the members’ reason why they feel so much worthiness and see so much potential for themselves in their lives. No matter the distance, you will always be in their hearts. I want to personally thank your parents and family for raising you, and bringing you into the world in the way that they have. Jay, this might be an unconventional way to describe your relationship with your fans, but I’ve always seen you as like a second parent to your Engene. That we cross your mind so much and that you are thinking of us even when it is your opinion or satisfaction that matters the most, means more than I could ever begin to describe. Even those who felt the most loneliness now feel like they have all the companionship they need in you. We haven’t been together for a very long time, but laughing with you, crying with you, and spending time with you feels like second nature at this point. I realize how long you've been a trainee longing to debut, and I know you’ve gotten hurt before in the long process that it takes to do that. It is beyond impressive that you’ve been able to hold on to your dream for so long even when the outcome was not like you’ve expected. You teach us to be honest with ourselves and our feelings, and that even if it doesn’t happen overnight, all will be well again. I hope you continue to keep this effective and healthy mindset and maturity that you have now moving forward. There will be dark times ahead, but no matter how long it takes you to get through them, I know you will; and we will be by your side to help you through. I hope that all of your dreams come true today, and that you get to achieve all that you want to. If ever you find that you are questioning your role in Enhypen, your artistry, or the decisions this far, I hope you look to your Engene for guidance.
