This is my first video using fraps. I know it's not good. I"m not really good at this game and pretty much any other rpgs, but it's still fun to play. If I make another video like this, I'll make it 1 vs. 1. I accept advice so I can make even better videos. Don't worry, the quality and sound get a little better later in the video. Also, the quality is bad because I only have the free version of fraps. Maybe some day I'll get the fully licensed version of it. So enjoy and let's keep the comments appropriate. This is also a map I created, so advice for making maps better would be appreciated.

  • I just got this game as part of a collector's edition for my pc, and it's a lot of fun! I've been using FRAPS to capture other game footage on my computer, but for some reason, it does not want to record this game, even though it's showing the yellow numbers at the top of the screen. Did you have any issues using FRAPS to record this game too? I know you used a much older version than the current one, but was just wondering if you could lend a hand. I would appreciate it a lot! -Zen

  • I was pretty good at this back in the day. My crowning moment of awesome was when I played against 7 computer players in random map mode on hardest difficulty. It was a free for all and I almost got wiped out entering Bronze age with their cavalry, but managed to get hoplites in time. I made it to Iron age and crushed all 7 enemies.

  • I remember finding the collectors edition in Wal-Mart for 10 bucks. It has Age of Empires Gold Edition, Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings and Age of Empires 2: Conquerors Expansion. 3 CD pack for 10 bucks, pretty cheap, I don't know if they still sell it though

  • What sucks in age of empires 1 is that , population limit can not be choosen. its given from the game, only in campaign it increases, but if you go to choose a map, population is always 50.
