Clear! They are gorgeous! Yellow is very Spring. No help here. Ha! Silver is beautiful!
Those flowers are wonderful. You do lovely work!
Thank you so much 😊
Very pretty! ❤
Thank you! 😊
I like them clear but I also like the silver.
I love them. You have so much talent
Thank you ☺️
so beautiful and I learned so much from you tutorial, thank you!!!
I'm so glad!
Thank you so much Michelle.
You are so welcome
Great tutorial thanls
beautiful work!
by the way to stop them floating - try putting a very shallow layer of resin first. let it set about 70% so it's still reallys sticky then press your flowers onto it - then pour again :) no floaties :)
those turned out NICE I preferred them CLEAR also...
I was all for clear until I saw the finished product. They are on a whole different level..love them.
I do like the clear . They are beautiful.
But now I see the yellow background, I do like that .
I love them! I would have chosen the silver also! Thank you. You are so talented!
Thank you so much!
I think there pretty clear
Yellow for sure, or a light blue for the sky
Hi, these are so beautiful. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
You could have done a very light blue background to look like the sky. Gorgeous job! 😍
These are so lovely! I'm doing a square one for a frame & need an opaque background to hid the adhering tabs. I first thought I'd have to fill the mold with white epoxy then add the flowers. This a much better way. Perfect video for learning this! 💮🌻
Wonderful!
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 how many ounces of part a and how many ounces of part B to make the resin do you pour each?
Measure your mold with water first to see how much resin you need. Say you need 6 oz, then do 3 oz of each part if you are using a 1:1 ratio resin.
Great pick with the silver..that would of been my choice...
Gorgeous!!! I love them, great job. Would've left them clear though. I love the floating appearance & they're more neutral...for any room.
Beautiful work, thank you for sharing hope you are doing well 🌺
Thank you! You too! ❤️
I didn't think it was an error, lol. They are beautiful. I ❤ the placements of your flowers😊. I am learning so much from your videos.
Thanks so much 😊
Left it clear
I’m new to resin and I’ve done the exact same as you. Next time I’ll put a thin layer of resin, the flowers let it cure then fill up
Clear
Nice
Silver on blue
I would have used a medium yellow, with glitter!
They're beautiful as they are. No colors!!! Maybe a gold border???? I would have made the first layer really thin, just to anchor the flowers. Or even dabs of UV resin cured with the hand held UV light. I have also seen people paint the flowers with resin. Daniel Cooper has a good tutorial on dried flowers.
Either way would be beautiful. Clear would show the color of whatever table cloth you're using, or the wood of your table. You can make more sets a different way to show that the possibility is really endless with art. You did a great job.
I will be making 4 more next week, stay tuned!
I have like a million questions!! These are beautiful! 1. How do you store the “leftover” flowers ? 2. What was the purpose of the latex? 3. What do mean domed? I would think if they were domed they wouldn’t work well as say a “flat coaster.” 4. Could you have poured a thin layer allowed to get sticky then put the flowers down? 5. Why did you choose to lay the flowers face up? If placed face down, I think I could pour a back on more easily. Annnnd lastly these are just gorgeous! I was thinking you could’ve put a different color for the back of each one!
Wow ! Ok 1. Flowers are stored in a plastic bag in a tupperware container. 2. Latex was to keep any accidental drips from ruining the opposite side (in case I "overfilled" the top coat. 3. Domed just means you fill to where it looks like it comes higher than the mold without breaking the surface tension. 4. You could have placed them facing down as well but I wanted to be able to see the exact placement for the finished product. Thank you so much for watching!!
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 wow thank you so much!! I can’t wait to try this!!
@@JustConfused_24-7 I'd love to see them!
Love it, I made making these one of my summer projects. I grow cut flowers and am wanting to find new and different ways to preserve the flowers. I am a bit confused on the latex. is it just so none of the resin pours over edge? How do you make sure that they are even since they are coaster and we don't want them to wobble.
the latex was on the bottom just in case of any drips that would come over the edge. Then you peel off the latex. You can also tape them with masking tape as well you dont have to use the liquid latex. That's awesome that you can do your own flowers!! I wish I could but I dont have a green thumb... Thanks for watching!
Girlfriend Your Energy is Amazing and Blessed 🙌 😇 🙏 Thank You for sharing! I want to make this 😍 😩 Aiy Chigona ! Lol! I gotta make a list of materials! We can Write it in our Journal! Aiy'Pinche I Love Art!
LOL Thank you!! I'd love to see them when they are done!
Pale Lemon would look best.
Yellow
Nice video! May I ask why you don't seal in the silver paint along the rim? Won't that chip off?
It can rub off, yes, and it can be sealed in I just didn’t do it 😑
Michelle try putting a small amount of resin with flowers and they will not move or float, then you can fill it up
Yes, I figured that out after I did this video 😁
Hi, I'm going to attempt putting dried pressed flowers same as Michelle used. Saw your comment and wondered what you meant, could you tell me please thanks
@@karenmclaughlan9128 pour the mold half full, place your flowers and then let it cure. Once it’s cured pour the remaining resin. That way your flowers won’t float to the back of the project.
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 But the flowers are still going to float even if I place them into resin that is half full surely
@@karenmclaughlan9128 not too much though
Should have gone with white or yellow, the silver blurs everything…IMO 🇨🇦
Hi! They came out absolutely gorgeous! Can you please tell me where you purchased your molds?
Here’s a link to them amzn.to/45qcSUR
Hello! 🤗 The coasters are beautiful, the blue is amazing. How do you do so that humidity does not affect the hardening of the resin?
I keep the house at 77 degrees, I'm in SW Florida
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 Thank you!🌸
Why do you use the silacone on the other side? They are beautiful
The latex? It’s to keep any potential drips off that side so it doesn’t get ruined if the top coat dropped down. You can use painters tape too. The latex is easy to peel off.
@glitznglitterbymichelle1 Thank you !!! Masking tape should be ok as well?
What did you use for the glitter coat, I love that silver?
All the products will always be linked in the description because I will never remember what I did doing videos everyday 😉
Why would you dome coasters? Will a cup be able to sit on em?
Yes they are still flat it just stop’s sharp edges
Question... why would you not do a thin coat 1st to prevent flowers from floating so much? Then top with thicker coat?
Yes I would now, this was one of the first times I used dried flowers, I learn a lot from my own errors LOL
So beautiful! by my questions you will see that I'm a real beginner; why did you use liquid latex instead of tape? why did you put your liquid latex underneath instead of on the rim? for the first coat, why didn't you use UV resin instead of regular resin that you have to wait 12 hours or so ? ( sorry for my bad spalling, I'm french Canadian) thank you for sharing and have a great day !
I used latex just to show how it’s done you can use tape as well. If the resin spills over it drips from underneath so that’s what I wanted to protect. I don’t use UV resin for top coats on coasters because it not only uses too much it also doesn’t cure as nice that large. Thanks for watching 😊
Pkease clarity. What is the " doming" on the back?
Anytime I top coat I try to dome it so there is less to no trimming off sharp edges. Just adding a bit more resin to make a “bubble” type dome without breaking the surface tension.
Michelle, I followed your steps exactly to make these coasters and when i took them out of the mold, they had bubbles that had broke on the back of them and you could see into the flower. what did i do wrong. thank you
I’m not totally sure but maybe next time pour clear into your mold first then maybe coat the flowers in resin before placing to help avoid bubbles. I did those over a year ago so I’m not completely sure how I did them anymore without rewatching the video.
I love them Tara Jim’s wife Gods good
Why do you spray with alcohol?
To pop bubbles and protect the mold from torching it.
Honestly, I would have left them clear.
may i please have link for mold?
It should be in the description box
Why did you spray them with alcohol Thank you
To pop bubbles instead of torching
Why the back side of resin is blurred any idea mam
I’m not sure what you mean, maybe the silver glitter is showing that on camera?
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 when ever we make some coaster one side only shine back side area design will not come if it's visible also but it's totally blurred not shine what to do
I am saying whenever we made coaster only one side shine back side is blurred. What u r making that super .
They will only shine if the mold is shiny. If it’s dull (the mold) you would top or bottom coat them with clear to fix that.
You lost me with the latex. What purpose did that serve?
It stops drips from sticking to the resin on the back in case it drips down the sides...
Please leave them clear, no black!!! White sparkly ok, but no black I hope. Gosh they turned out beautiful!!!
Nope no black! 😁
no.
Beautiful!
😀
They are beautiful
Thanks 😊
