Created by Mick Gordon, the DOOM Original Soundtrack includes completely rearranged and composed tracks from the game, one new track from id Software’s Chris Hite, a new remixed track from id Software’s Chad Mossholder, and a few other surprises for the fans. Spanning 31 tracks and 128 minutes, the soundtrack is organized into four distinct chapters (I. DOGMA, II. DEMIGOD, III. DAKHMA, IV. DOOM) that follow the DOOM Marine’s path of destruction, culminating in his relentless fight against the demons of Hell.

  • Goin through a tough time and my regular music is giving me anxiety but for some damn reason this shit is calming me, Im not complaining but its just strange how this is lowering my heartbeat and relaxing my breathing.

    • Same my dude. My anxiety hit an all time high today and I thought "Why not? Nothing else is working." Very good decision. I think the music has a way of "matching" the chaotic energy of anxiety and somehow gives you a feeling of control. I'm going to remember this.

    • It is a studied effect of heavy metal! Metalheads have been demonstrated to feel greater emotional equilibrium after a good listening sesh. It works for me too, I feel absolutely elated after finishing BFG Division.

    • I believe that it’s the fact that all of your overwhelming and horrific emotion is matched with an appropriate stimulus which your brain doesn’t find dangerous and therefore allows it to dissipate instead of just building up because your brain is convinced flight or fight is absolutely necessary despite you not being in any danger
