Jeff, this is amazing. So nice to see someone with actual machining skills making things like this. Any hints on where to source the DCC cotton covered wire? My basic google searches only turn up listings for short sections of wire--too short to wind a coil. Thanks for the very detailed build video!

I see a tremendous potential in them, perhaps people get discouraged because they think these devices are only used for sparks but I feel they can do anything you can think of

OK, what's with the rotatable core on the trembler/kicker coil? That's the one bit I don't understand. Is it just a way of adjusting the clearance via a threaded shaft?

There is a keyway, so the knob in front raises and lowers the core closer or farther from the interrupter
