  • I loved the story, but it needs a part 2. I also loved how this story isn't about romance like most of the others, but about sibling love and friendship. I was kind of hoping Estela and Lucio would reunite with their mom. I was also hoping that Cielo's mom would realize how wrong she was. But I guess this will have to do. I'm glad Estela and Lucio were there for each other. Also, I just thought of something. I wonder if the creator was inspired by "The Little Match Girl" by Hans Christian Andersen.

  • This DESERVES a part 2. It was sad that Estella and her brother had to put up with their father after their mother’s disappearance. However I love the fact that Celio isn’t really like her mom due to how she was just manipulating her by not paying her any attention and wanted to help Estella and Lucio while they were struggling to try make money and stay warm. Lucio knew how much Estella meant to him and that both wanted to stay positive to survive because that’s how much they got each others backs.

    • I had my suspicions when I saw them selling matches and heard that they were poor, but it was confirmed when she lit the few matches she had left and they were quickly extinguished. There's this old Disney short where a boy lights matches after watching families eat on Christmas, and when he lit the matches he started hallucinating. I'm positive at this point (12:4) that this was based off of it. You see, the man was also fired from his cleaning job and left on the streets in the short. It has no part 2 to the Disney short, so there most likely won't be another one.

  • I'm impressed that this story isn't based on romance or that it ends in a reasonably happy ending. I loved the message that this story conveys to us to always have hope and fight in the face of any difficulty. I was saddened by the fact that Estela and Lucio did not have a happy ending, that there was no reconciliation on the part of either the mother or the father. They were just children and they had to fight for their own lives. This story made me cry, because in truth, it is the reality of many children/teenagers. I hope there is a 2 part to this story. Thank you Msa, for another wonderful story. ❤

It reminded me of the hardships that a lot of people had back then. This was a awesome recreation of it. Made me cry. Thank you.

  • The story is based on a book called : ,,The Girl With Matches". Its a sad story of a girl who sold matches and when winter came she was dying to the cold so she lit a match to warm herself up and every time she lit a match she would see a hallucination of something she wants or misses and then when she ran out of matches she died to the cold. Everyone thought she lit the matches to warm her self up but no one new what she saw. It's a really sad and short story and this msa video is the story but continued what msa thought happened before she died.

  • Oh my goodness, both the storyline and the artstyle are purely incredible! I've seen such a meaningful MSA video. This one is definitely my favourite! The 13:04 scene looks like a scene from a traditional Japanese animated movie(not anime). That just looks so wonderful and peaceful to watch. Well done, MSA!

  • Cielo was a definition of ‘Never judge anyone unless you find their true colors’, she was so kind that she offered her at a tour of her home, let Estelle sit there at her fireplace, offered her a job, and gave her a sufficien amount of money. She even sometimes secretly came to talk with Estelle. Cielo needs her own story tbh.

  • Is it only me who thinks that this story is inspired from the poem "The little match girl" written by Hans Christian Andersen. That lighting matches and getting visuals of happiness at 11:42 is totally from the poem. But the way msa got backstory into it and after the visuals she was alive making it hopeful and optimistic is great. Great effort by MSA😊
