10:31 A well-known sign used by the Allied forces on D-Day during World War II was the challenge where a soldier yells "flash", the other person would reply with the password "thunder", and the countersign (to challenge the person giving the first code word) "Welcome". So when the 82nd Airborne dude yells "Flash!" and Sarge replies with "Thunder!" It's a pretty neat detail that the devs added.

They missed the chance to make D-Day absolutely insane in this game. Still a good episode though.
This just gave me nostalgia. As a kid I played through nearly this exact level on repeat in the original medal of honor. It was absolutely state of the art at the time and the most immersive gaming experience on the market. Very cool they recreated it in the newest medium for immersive gaming!

God, I genuinely think this game looks like trash. Also, I don't know how I would feel if I saw my friends getting mowed down in WW2, and years later my grandson, who drinks soy, donates to thots on twitch, and gets triggered when you use his wrong pronouns, is laughing and having a blast with the experience on VR. idk man, mixed feelings.

I can't even begin to comprehend how people actually were able to suffer through D-day and come out alive. Thank god for those men who got us through that day. Great action scene, hats off to the people who made this amazing game, and thank you D for showing the cinematic view of this game.
Well, once the first few waves of men built up some extra cover, and wasted some of the German supplies and forces, the men finally pushed far enough to break the line. It was quite a few dead men lying on a tiny strip of beach before they won. It was a horrible battle. Obviously I wasn't there, but from what I've read it was an extremely gruesome first day for a lot of Allied rookies.
Favorite part: "Welcome to D-Day, b*tch." That should be D's catchphrase whenever he's playing games.

I like to think that in the beginning of the game when D's character gets shot and can't talk he just never recovered and now everyone thinks he's this stoic super-soldier when in reality if he could talk they'd throw him in an asylum.
This game looks kind rough, but watching you clear those trenches and bunkers really made me think about it.

@@Ceeed100 From what I'm reading, they censored the swastika in multiplayer only due to the modern trend of obnoxious far right players who see nothing wrong with "roleplaying" Nazis and pretending Nazis were right. That and multiplayer has never been authentic to history. Single player should still have historical swastikas.

@@estrogenizedbird9161 I mean by default, it is since there isn't another WWII VR game and who knows when we will get one. But it remains strange that the game forces you to rack the slide on every reload on every gun with a slide. You'd expect Tactical Reloads to be in, but they aren't.

Maybe he was designed to be British, but to keep him around the main character, they made him American. Whatever the case, he's a British sounding Amercan in the final game.

Not gonna lie.. the game looks awful. That being said your skill and like speed at reloading made this incredibly entertaining.
Other than it's terrible performance, it's actually one of the best vr games and looks incredible. Can barely run it on my 3070.

This is the second best looking VR game after half life alyx, it’s just what they look like. They haven’t gotten as good as normal games yet. It takes time.
You gotta try it in VR tough,i tought the same from the videos till i bought it,and i was literally blown away,it looks insane when you are there,tough i have a beast pc and like the best vr hmd,the beach is also realistic and huge,cod might look better but the immersion you get with this,it literally made my crawl on my belly in my living room alone lol,the difference from a monitor and vr is idk so huge i will never form an opinion for a vr game before i try it.
