    • Only black bears used to cars. Around here in VT they get used to going through parked cars but if the door shuts behind them they destroy the car trying to get out. They have to be removed or they keep doing it.

  • My son was driving his boss back to his work truck on a logging road in northern Alberta, and as they get closer they see what they think is someone sitting in his truck, as they get closer boss, black bears enjoying dudes lunch. Boss goes, well I locked the doors but guess also rolling up the passenger window would help. Lol

  • I live in England and therefore am not likely to come across any bear in the wild here. If I lived in any area where I might encounter a bear I`d always carry a gun. I understand that in some parts of far north western Siberia / the most northern parts of Europe it is against the law to leave town without one.

    • I've heard the same thing about the Siberian area too. Where I live in US there are no bears. However, they are in the far northern area of my state. That area is also seeing an influx of wild-boars (nasty, nasty creatures that serve NO purpose). They are coming down from Canada.

I'd never guess it if he hadn't shown the videos. I've also been naive about the locations of mountain lions, cougars, wolves and coyotes. All of these animals are scavengers!!

  • All food scraps must be either burned or taken away as this is what draw's them in , While up north in Georgian bay as a child we never ever saw one and we were there every summer for over 10 yrs. and not once did a bear come near our cottage as there was never ever any trash outside or in we burned all of it.

  • Anyone thinks they can run off a bear are in danger for a lack of knowledge. The bear will come back even if you do get them to leave temporarily. I keep and when I go into the woods I always keep my magnum pistol. Reloads with large bullets. Some bear see you as a source for food or that you are their food. Bear spray is a sad joke and know people who died while using it.
