@taelin-rh3wi If you do some research, Lara Croft can actually translate 15 languages! Nathan Drake can only translate Latin & Spanish, and in the OG TR games, sometimes the player couldn't even figure out how to solve a puzzle because the game lacked so much info. Lara had to be smart and solve puzzles using clues around the room, not rely on friends she didn't need or have.

You get hints and advice from Drake's friends. But you don't get any direct clues. Even climbing can be a puzzle because it's not obvious where you need to go all that since again there are no quest markers so you have to look.

Actually Lara is in fact more intelligent than Nathan. She speaks multiple languages and can even read and decipher some antique languages as well. She has also a vast knowledge of history, maybe even a bit more than Nate but that's arguable. Nate pretty much only focused on Francis Drake and Henry Avery. But Lara knows stuff about many cultures and mythologies. And I believe she also had some college degrees that prove how Intelligent she is lol. I don't want to say that Nate is stupid or something. Also she deciphers old languages by just learning them on the way. Also she's a talented tactician. Nathan is just guns blazing pretty much. Like I said no one is saying that Nathan is dumb, he's also very talented in his job. But Lara is definitely more intelligent. She has a extremely vast knowledge about almost every important event in history. Whilst Nate is often relying on his books and stuff to look something up, Lara simply doesn't need that. Personally I think they're both the exact opposites of each other. Nathan is the loud guy that goes guns blazing into action, whilst Lara is the smart and tactical girl. They have different approaches, so you can't really compare them there. The only thing they have in common is what they do. But even there they have different reasons why they do it. Nate just wants to become rich, Lara wants to solve legends and find lost artifacts.

I've finished Uncharted 1, 2, 3 and 4 (for some reason the anniversary collection DISAPPEARED from my library when they gave it for free during covid) now i'm playing Tomb Raider 2013. The only thing i'm hating are the QTE where they change the QTE the game has been teaching you. Like the wolf qte when lara has to recover a backpack. "SIDES, PUSH F! PUSH F! SMASH.. F?" OK, so, SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER, now that we’re on the same page: I get what you mean; she does sacrifice herself to become the protector of that ancient city thing (I forgot its name), but there are a myriad of things wrong with what you said. (A) It’s not a universal rewrite LOL, the characters throughout the entire fight constantly say “help me rewrite and reshape this *world*” or that they’re the supposed saviour of the destiny of the world, etc. It’s always described/considered a world, not an entire observable universe. Hell, when Lara is sacrificed the chick who stabs her legit states they need to sacrifice a god in order to provide energy to the sun and prevent it from destroying the world, meaning, it’s Planet-Level at absolute best or Moon-Level if you consider it more of a life-wiping feat/achievement. (B) Lara didn’t become a god, well, not permanently at least. She transitorily became one when the power of Kukulkan was transferred to her, but like, she was sacrificed, remember? They legit said a god needed to be sacrificed, and so, she sacrificed her goddess form. Evident with how she’s no longer luminescing golden aura covering her skin even though whenever someone possessed the power of Kukulkan their skin’s texture turns gold, yet Lara’s skin is utterly normal anon the scene she’s sacrificed. Implying she lost the power after the ritual as she sacrificed it. So, no, she ain’t a goddess.

The spectacle, soundtrack, environments, the actual gameplay and story/lost cities are amazing and are classics, but when the legend trilogy came out and I actually got to play a TR game on my ps3 instead of hear about it, holy shit. These mfs haven’t played them and think she’s a Mary Sue, as if Nate isn’t the luckiest mf alive and the only way to not make him seem unstoppable is not allowing him to take any rare shit home (El dorado, the Cintimani Stone (even tho it’s tree sap), the riches from the Rub Al Khali, Avery’s treasure) He takes home trinkets and although like I said I love his story, it ain’t shit to Lara just getting what she wants and then throwing it into one of her 82 rooms😭 Like even if they wanna compare the survivor trilogy, they say Nate got a gut shot and survived the train, Lara fell into a piece of splintered wood after putting herself partly on fire and then had to climb out of a collapsing cave while splintered and survived the cold night. Nathan is a man who knows about guns and history treasures plus true history. But he's untrained in mixed martial arts he just knows good street fight. Lara on the other hand knows pretty much everything about history and archaeology and she is trained in guns, knives and combat. As per watchmojo said it's an unprofessional, untrained guy vs a professional,trained and experienced Tomb Raider. So Lara wins to like low- mid difficulty at best against Nate. I love Lara for that. But hands down Uncharted series gave birth to the gameplay mechanics that the newest Tomb Raider games have. I love Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy gameplay mechanics. As Uncharted series gave as the experience we can have in Rise & Shadow of the Tomb Raider respectively. Both are legends.

Nathan Drake can only translate Latin & Spanish, and in the OG TR games, sometimes the player couldn't even figure out how to solve a puzzle because the game lacked so much info. Lara had to be smart and solve puzzles using clues around the room, not rely on friends she didn't need or have.

You get hints and advice from Drake's friends. But you don't get any direct clues. Even climbing can be a puzzle because it's not obvious where you need to go all that since again there are no quest markers so you have to look.

Also she deciphers old languages by just learning them on the way. Also she's a talented tactician. Nathan is just guns blazing pretty much. Like I said no one is saying that Nathan is dumb, he's also very talented in his job. But Lara is definitely more intelligent. She has a extremely vast knowledge about almost every important event in history. Whilst Nate is often relying on his books and stuff to look something up, Lara simply doesn't need that. Personally I think they're both the exact opposites of each other. Nathan is the loud guy that goes guns blazing into action, whilst Lara is the smart and tactical girl. They have different approaches, so you can't really compare them there. The only thing they have in common is what they do. But even there they have different reasons why they do it. Nathan is a man who knows about guns and history treasures plus true history. But he's untrained in mixed martial arts he just knows good street fight. Lara on the other hand knows pretty much everything about history and archaeology and she is trained in guns, knives and combat. As per watchmojo said it's an unprofessional, untrained guy vs a professional,trained and experienced Tomb Raider. So Lara wins to like low- mid difficulty at best against Nate. I love Lara for that. But hands down Uncharted series gave birth to the gameplay mechanics that the newest Tomb Raider games have. I love Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy gameplay mechanics. As Uncharted series gave as the experience we can have in Rise & Shadow of the Tomb Raider respectively. Both are legends.
