If people think Labour will turn this situation around they are kidding themselves. Im no fan of the Tories by any stretch of the imagination but the situation has been caused by printing off money like its confetti - furlough payments, cost of living payments. This is the basic rule of economics - print money off with very little output and the inflation will rise. Raising interest rates to damp down the inflation acts as a double whammy as it puts even more pressure on families who have debts and mortgage.
