You’ve probably ran into people with modded accounts tho. I’ve ran into people who go invisible. I just play zombies with friends now. Mostly because the multiplayer is competitive, and some people ruin your experience, like crashing your game, going god mode, or using modded weapons that one hit kill you

That’s such a big shame, I switched over from pc to console because of shitty ports and hackers roaming around. Glad I got this recommended, I’ve been wanting to go back to bo3 but looks like it’ll be collecting dust probably forever because Activision doesn’t care about their old games
I mean I still play BO3 with friends on private zombie matches using modded accs but even then it isn’t the same because the social aspect on playing with randoms is destroyed and account progression was also destroyed along with that so all that grinding everyone did was for nothing…sad times.

If you're on steam, put steam into offline mode before launching the game. That keeps you totally safe from being Ddossed. If you're online even in a solo lobby, you can be booted offline, because they can get your pc's ip address by using your steam name.

you can play online on pc, there is a community patch out which helps but it is also recommended to also use a vpn as well. as well never do public matches, always do private matches with people you trust that also use the community patch and make sure you all have the password setup for the lobby too. dont play on playstation but you can on pc and xbox. also it was proven that there is no black ops collection, it was a false rumour created for the nintendo direct.

@@thegeekslays truthfully when was the last time the average player played in a public match or without the friends they trust? also the community patch keeps the game alive, its recommended by anyone in the community and is not easily exploitable, the patch is closed source and will be hard for nearly every hacker to bypass easily since its constant updates combat any work arounds. the game might be dead in Activation's eyes but its not in the players, the game still ranked in the top 10 most sold game on Xbox recently and is very often in the top 50 on Steam, if this is the definition of a dead game then nearly every game is dead in your eyes.

Player count for bo3 on steamcharts seems pretty high on top ofnactuve development and support of the game through the community as we get regular updates and releases. We are even about to get a transit remake. Game doesn't feel dead on pc to me personally

I don’t think most people are going to stop playing tbh, from what I can tell (don’t trust this take precautions) it’s not taking over your console it’s ONLY when your active on the servers so if this does start happening just close the game I’d play on a acc that doesn’t have a linked PayPal or Debit/Credit card The GPU critical warning wasn’t the PlayStation it was the game assuming that your GPU was over heating otherwise you would have gotten a PS pop up

BO3 is my favorite CoD for MP. I play on xbox one and last time I played (around december 2022 I think), there were some people using invisibility expolits. Guess I wont pick up this game anymore for the PS4. Someone's selling it in my area for a fairly cheap price. I had last gen Bo3 for years now and I gotta say this looks way more horrible than the modders I encountered in that port. Offline play is possible If I'm not mistaken but with that you're getting less fun and technically you won't be able to experience the good things Bo3 offers 😢

@@thegeekslays the game was in the top ten most sold games on steam in February 2024. Also RCE has been patched on pc for a while now. I have been playing with my friends just fine, people are just paranoid and for the Playstation version of the game it is just a matter of time for the exploit to be patched since it completely goes against playstation’s term of service and if the bug is not resolved it could get their game completely removed from the platform.

If you're on steam, put steam into offline mode before launching the game. That keeps you totally safe from being Ddossed. If you're online even in a solo lobby, you can be booted offline, because they can get your pc's ip address by using your steam name.
you can play online on pc, there is a community patch out which helps but it is also recommended to also use a vpn as well. as well never do public matches, always do private matches with people you trust that also use the community patch and make sure you all have the password setup for the lobby too. dont play on playstation but you can on pc and xbox. also it was proven that there is no black ops collection, it was a false rumour created for the nintendo direct.
If you need a non safe still exploitable community patch and only super close friends that’s you can trust it’s a dead game. My entire point is that the entire real experience is dead which it is
@@thegeekslays truthfully when was the last time the average player played in a public match or without the friends they trust? also the community patch keeps the game alive, its recommended by anyone in the community and is not easily exploitable, the patch is closed source and will be hard for nearly every hacker to bypass easily since its constant updates combat any work arounds. the game might be dead in Activation's eyes but its not in the players, the game still ranked in the top 10 most sold game on Xbox recently and is very often in the top 50 on Steam, if this is the definition of a dead game then nearly every game is dead in your eyes.

You can still play custom maps just have to stay offline
people need to stress that this is mainly for online play, if you're in a private lobby with your friends with t7(including private password) then you will be fine

I just played Zetsubou on PC with 3 randoms and did the EE yesterday.
ballistic himself mentioned in lexs comment section that as long as you arent a popular figure or streamer you wont be affected, he said he told the hackers to do this stuff and i believe the web browser opening is just links that you can open through bo3
if you dont think that this being possible is an issue then idk what to tell you. hackers can and will do this to regular people to take advantage of them.

Player count for bo3 on steamcharts seems pretty high on top ofnactuve development and support of the game through the community as we get regular updates and releases. We are even about to get a transit remake. Game doesn't feel dead on pc to me personally

I don’t think most people are going to stop playing tbh, from what I can tell (don’t trust this take precautions) it’s not taking over your console it’s ONLY when your active on the servers so if this does start happening just close the game I’d play on a acc that doesn’t have a linked PayPal or Debit/Credit card The GPU critical warning wasn’t the PlayStation it was the game assuming that your GPU was over heating otherwise you would have gotten a PS pop up

BO3 is my favorite CoD for MP. I play on xbox one and last time I played (around december 2022 I think), there were some people using invisibility expolits. It's so sad to see BO3 dying and being ruined by hackers like BO2. I hope the xbox servers don't get hacked any time soon but Ik there's not much time left

You know whats crazy in all my time playing bo3 and getting to max level on zombies and multiplayer, i have not once ran into a hacker on xbox. Any cod before Bo3 are full of hackers except bo1 it isn't that bad.

I just bought it in the PlayStation store.. why have it in the store if the multiplayer doesn't work. Pretty upsetting that I just spent $60+ for the game -_-
I bought it literally 2 days ago and today got on to play Multiplayer bc I played solo zombies first and it'd show however many matches/games are going on and I'd wait and wait but nothing. Waste of money, again WHY HAVE IT IN ONLINE STORES if the game is in this kind of state
to be fair when it comes to finding lobbies this is an 8 year old game. they leave it on the store because there are still offline modes tho i think it should definitely be discounted.

Guess I wont pick up this game anymore for the PS4. Someone's selling it in my area for a fairly cheap price. I had last gen Bo3 for years now and I gotta say this looks way more horrible than the modders I encountered in that port. Offline play is possible If I'm not mistaken but with that you're getting less fun and technically you won't be able to experience the good things Bo3 offers 😢

@@thegeekslays the game was in the top ten most sold games on steam in February 2024. Also RCE has been patched on pc for a while now. I have been playing with my friends just fine, people are just paranoid and for the Playstation version of the game it is just a matter of time for the exploit to be patched since it completely goes against playstation’s term of service and if the bug is not resolved it could get their game completely removed from the platform.
