Well, rebirth island was actually mentioned a little while back,in 2010(black ops 1) in the campaign,Fredrich Steiner was on rebirth island but the design of rebirth island wasn't exactly like the design of warzone rebirth idk if it really matters tho

A reminder that the reason why Rebirth Island is basically Alcatraz with a Russian coat of paint is mainly because the Devs wanted to go to Aral Sea and take reference images of the actual Rebirth Island, but weren't able to because both Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan (the 2 countries where the Aral Sea (and by extension, Rebirth Island) were located in) closed off their borders in 2020 due to certain events. (As with the rest of the world)

Even though Black Ops Gulf War will be made with the same engine as MW22 and MW23, Cold War and MW19 were made on the same engine too! The engine doesn’t determine the graphics, Treyarch’s artistic direction for the game will change the graphics.
