Every time I see Sidon talk to his younger self about protecting his sister, I always feel so sad, because I know it must hurt him to even say that, seeing as he lost his sister in his timeline.

The flashback with Sooga meeting master Kohga was actually touching. It’s proof that Kohga does indeed have a heart.
Yea it does tend to incite yiga wasn't all that bad until calamity took over.
To me Master Khoga seems like a big goofball a lot of the time

The best villains are those who are humanized. You can see they’re people, just people who oppose the hero.
Also gives some insight to why the Yiga are so loyal to Kohga Normally in stories, if the leader of an evil group is grossly incompetent, someone usurps them You'd expect maybe even Sooga would do that But the Yiga (Sooga especially) are loyal to Kohga, that they'd all give their lives in his name Maybe Kohga helped the various Yiga by taking them in, providing them with food, and giving them purpose Also providing them a family by proxy
With how Revali was talking about Tulin becoming a master of wind, and surpassing his dad, that kind of teases his role in TOTK! Super cool!
Okay, I've got to admit that scene with Link teaching Zelda how to cook and him teaching her how to ride the Master Cycle was really adorable and wholesome.
I live for those interactions between the two. Best part of the DLC imo

Given his younger self a better future is the best thing Sidon has ever done. Even if he get to see his sister Mipha one last time. I can only hope he does remember these moments and his victory from that alternate reality in Tears of the Kingdom.
Link running after Zelda along the cycle likely yelling "Princess, wait! The brake! Hit the brake!" cracks me up so much.

It reminds me of how much character and personality this Link has and how the localization team for BOTW took that from us when they made the decision to remove the "Link's diary" aspect from the quest descriptions by using "you" instead of "I"

Yea he kinda reminds me of vegeta. Pride for his own but thinks to be better than any others. But still have the heart to take on a fight for a better world in a competitive way.

@@SylvainCosmos Legend of Zelda has always been open to split timelines. If AoC marks the 2nd split in the Zelda timeline (1st being Ocarina of Time), I wonder what games we'll get in the timeline of the Champions winning. Something's always destined to happen in Hyrule.

All of these are so wholesome, especially after botw. Best Fix-it game EVER. Sidon is adorable, both the grown-up and the kid version.

Actually, adult comes from the timeline were Mipha and the other champion fell. He was summond by the robot to rewrite the timeline.

Actually no, the timeline split again. When they went back in time to help out it didn't cause the future they came from to change or that would lead to a paradox. Instead it caused a split timeline. One where the calamity was stopped and one where it still happened. They didn't fix their future, rather they caused a new one in another universe where no one had to suffer. They still go back home to their post calamity future with no changes. Like in Ocarina of Time when Link was sent back to be a child and stop everything before it happened. The future where he defeated Ganon and his whole adventure still exists but in another timeline. I hope this makes sense
Uh think Dragon Ball Multiverse. Its pretty much the same as why there are 2 Zenos in Dragonball Super.
Watching all of these makes me so emotional. Age of calamity really did the fans in. I don't care about the timeline split at all. Just seeing the champions with their descendents , and even tulin who became a sage!!! All together and happy is the best thing they could've done. The scenes with zelda and link are so wholesome.
Can we just admit that we are all dying of cuteness when we saw baby Sidon. 😂

These wholesome cutscenes are a gift from the goddesses--Mipha with baby and adult Sidon and Revali bonding with Teba and Tulin is too much for my heart

whoever is composing music for the Zelda franchise right now is firing on alll cylinders- That little piece at the end is yet another beautiful addition to the franchise
I was hoping the scene with Riju and Urbosa would be a bit longer, since when Riju picked the Thunder Helm up after it got thrown she looked disappointed. I thought she might say something about how she's not a good chieftess or that she keeps messing up and Urbosa would tell her it's alright.
So rare to see Mipha actually breaking open a big smile ^_^ Heartwarming.

I love how a non-canon game put so much effort into making a story that seemed effortlessly canon. Maybe not in the "fits into the story" sense, but in the sense that all of the characters behaved exactly as previous canon encounters with those characters would lead you to expect them to behave. So much so that it's hard to imagine that isn't canon, nor would it surprise me if it someday made its way into the recognized canon.
I mean it kinda fits in the canon with the dlc
@@suami2529 Only if the idea is that the new champions created a new split timeline where the old champions won. But Tears of the Kingdom doesn't seem to acknowledge that timeline exists or that the new Champions did anything to mess with the timeline.
The bokos feel SO Alive In the first cut scene,I REALLY like it.
Master Kohga isn’t the boss who commands respect through his power or wisdom; he earns it through helping out those in need. Those kinds of bonds are hard to break. Kinda like Bruno from Golden Wind.

I just want to take a moment to appreciate that Riju legit hisses at Kohga while she holds the thunder helm, it makes me giggle, and Baby Sidon being to cute for words.

Kind of a spoiler but...... That is possible if you do the mission correctly. Sooga is a hidden character for the dlc and is playable.
It's actually unclear whether or not he died, as he becomes playable, appears in the credits and appears in some side missions, and the fact that he can somehow stand properly after doing his attack when he was previously crippled
@@RancidRiki He's dead as his final scene during this dlc very much shows him using his own "life force" to stun the 4 Ganonblights so as to allow Kogha time to escape. Considering how powerful the Blights are in Breath of the Wild it's impossible that Sooga could miracoulously manage to evade them only for him to not show up at all by the end of the game. It's very likely that he didn't make it.

@@hankpeterschmidt8626 Not when you just got through a tough battle with an entire army of Ganon's minions and are simply too exhausted and worn down from all the fighting to both keep running all the while protecting you're "Master" from harm(we don't know how close Kogha and Sooga really were). As for the Ganon Blights not been "THAT" strong... ¿Haven't you played Breath of the Wild? They completley annahilated the 4 original Champions during the Great Calamity to the point there was not even a corpse of them behind lying around somewhere inside their Divine Beasts. If one single GanonBlight was capable of destroying one of the 4 Champions just imagine how destructive all 4 of them combined would be against a single Yiga soldier like Sooga.
The ending where Zelda flies off on her own like that only makes me wish for her to have gameplay in Tears of The Kingdom 😭 it’s such a tease, she’s such a well developed character in this timeline

MAJOR TOTK SPOILERS.... The fact that they foreshadowed Tulin becoming more skilled than Teba and the "Master of the Wind" (or Sage of Wind) in a spin-off's DLC is insane to me. Great on the devs for giving us that glimpse into the future

Completely irrelevant as Tears of the Kingdom practically *confirms* that this game is NON CANON to the _entire_ Zelda timeline given the lack of ANY REFERENCE to the events seen on either Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity or the Guardian of Rememberance DLC. This game is _non canon_ and so wathever you think Tulin does in Tears of the Kingdom as a _reference_ to Guardian of Rememberance is completley and utterly false. Non canon guys.

Zora's and Rito's must have long lifespans if the Future Champions were alive as kids a century earlier
Zora have a really long life span. Rito DONT, Rito actually has the shortest life span ( I’m pretty sure ). The child in the scene with Teba and Revali is actually Tulin the son of Teba. He travelled through time with his father without Teba noticing

@@Matagu1 Kass’s master was a Shiekah who’s lifespan is about 120-130 but he was probably a bit older than Impa, purah and Robbie since he didn’t live to witness link’s return so most likely he met Kass a few years or decades before he died since he did teach Kass the ancient songs and definitely told him about his past

Im now considering playing this game again just to experience the story On another note im loving how this is the "Best" timeline, with champions of the past and future coming together and events changing into the best possible scenarios for the happy ending we all probably wanted Even if its not canon(its a seperate timeline so it technically is in a way) its just so nice to see grown-up sidon protecting his sister and younger self, revali praising tulin and bonding with him and his father, yunobo and daruk having their moment of "i grew up into what you always knew i could be with the help of a friend." And urbosa and rujin(i think thats her name?) Riding seals along with fighting together to keep the lightning help out of kohgas hands. Plus i always saw kohga as a goofball and he still is but i loved seeing that other side of him and the bond he had with sooga before his sacrife to keep his master/father figure alive. GOD ITS JUST SO GOOD OK IM GONNA GO TO BED NOW CAUSE ITS LIKE 3AM AND I JUST HAD TO WATCH AND RANT ABOUT HOW GOOD THESE SCENES WERE

In the beginning Terrako was like "You want this smoke fam! Ah...on second thought..about that..." And my boys Robbie and Yunobo! Damn this whole dlc was wholesome asf. Fuck it, even the yiga are awesome. But since when did they go to the ninja academy with them jutsu hand signs lol
You also just gotta love it when Kohga throws a tantrum after getting struck by Urbosa’s lightning

I really love the soundtrack for this game and the memories of friendship soundtrack because it reminds of all the great times I have had with my friends when we where in elementary, Middle and High school
This story is incredible. Now that they're continuing it with Tears, I'm eager to see how it all ends.

Honestly it's a little hard when you get used to aoc versions of characters then have to to back tears of the kingdom. I keep thinking man master Koga could of been one of the good guys if it wasn't for them being played by the calamity. Aoc will always have the best versions of most characters
