92%ers we are back with another episode of New Heights presented by our friends at Fireball.
In this episode, we are joined by maybe our most requested guest. It’s the two-time Super Bowl Champion head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs Andy Reid!
Coach Reid talks with the guys about his real first impression of Travis, what advice led him to become an NFL head coach, the biggest takeaway from his time in Philly, and if Travis will ever get another shot at QB.
We also dive into how he coaches Patrick Mahomes, how he felt coaching against his former team in the Super Bowl, how NFL offenses have changed since he started coaching, and most importantly, his go-to fast food burger.
As always, watch and listen to new episodes of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce every Wednesday & check us out on Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok for all the best moments from the show.

  • Big Red is the best! I worked at a Chiefs game once and Andy stopped after the game walking to the locker room to talk to a stadium employee who was collecting trash. Andy knew this guy by name, asked how his wife was doing(apparently she had been sick) and said if he needed anything to let him know. I was stunned by this whole interaction, that's the stuff you don't hear about. Such a stand up guy and amazing person!

He's finished up his high school football season and still lives by this lesson. I'm proud of him. I saw him far away, correct someone. He was being scouted by some good colleges until he tore his ACL and MCL. Wasn't sure he'd make it thru his senior year, but with continued therapy and a bariatric chamber, he made it and played like he was playing football in the backyard.

    • Truth be told, there is no "one" play. He's going to go with the play that he's tested the defense with knowing how they are going to react. Look up "How the Chiefs embarrassed the Eagles with one play." here on KZhead. He knew how the defense would react - and that's going to make him decide what to call on that 4th and 1. That's why corn dog worked. It will be interesting to see what Reid dials up this coming season.

Look at teams offensive calls with Alex Smith which is the season before Mahomes played and you'll see that Alex had his best season and then when Pat came he changed the play calls to fit Pat's skillset & strengths! Also, it was so funny watching him be so well behaved this whole episode. I also really enjoyed Coach Reid just relax and chat with them like they are family. These guys are a riot, and I have nothing but respect and love for Andy Reid, I watched him coach my Eagles for 14 years, AAAANNNDDD brought us one of the greatest Eagles to ever wear the uniform, Mr. Jason Kelce himself, then watched him turn K.C. into a powerhouse, he's an amazing hall of fame coach! I hated it when we lost the Super Bowl, but losing to coach Reid eased the sting a little bit. That game was nothing short of amazing, I said it was gonna come down to who had the final possession and it did, just sucks the Chiefs had the final possession and Mahomes did what Mahomes does, but my hats off to Jalen Hurts, cause like Mahomes himself said he played one hell of a game right down to the last second.

  • As a fan of the chiefs, Andy Reid is my favorite coach in the league, his play calling is inspired, there's no bs, and he matches the needs of the game moment to moment. He doesn't waver if the game takes him off of his game-plan, he adapts and puts his players on track towards success. He's also really nice and good to his players. Certain other coaches take the fun out of the game. Reid to me is the best coach all around. Everything you need a coach to do, he's excellent at it. I would love to have his autograph someday.
