This week we are at Mapperton house, visiting our new friends the Viscount and Viscountess Luke and Julie. This is our first collaboration with another channel, and it was so much fun. We Swim in one of the worlds oldest swimming pools, and take a hike through some great British countryside.

Dorset is beautiful those valleys and hills a picturesque canvas of colours and your host Julie is a very charming hostess. Crusoe just wins every ones heart and what a beautiful stately home (I have heard of Mapperton house) and have wanted to go and see it, but it is truly miles away from where we live in Cambridgeshire. Beautiful livestock and those cows are lovely. Save trip back home Newbys. Look forward to what you are going to be up to on the farm in Portugal. Hello dear friends. Tara you are a courageous woman, after a major surgery, lovely to see all of you healthy and adorable Sawyer with Crusoe. Loved to see John carrying both his sleeping little boys on him. Daddy taking care of his family. Lovely to see another part of England never heard before, I knew about Dorset but not the Mapperton Estate, Julia and her husband Luke are quite charming. We learn always every Sunday with your videos. Yes, home country and its vistas are spectacular, Portugal also. Actually that part of Mapperton and its valleys resembles a lot our Eastern Townships here in Quebec, maple trees changing to a panorama of colors from brown, red, auburn to sunset colors of fall through its majestic hills and valleys. Each country have their own jewels, I am glad to visit others through you. Have great trip home to your farm in Portugal, continue your great work, and show us others parts of this great world. Hello fam! Tara you are beyond brave. Popped a child and hit the road. You look amazing. John you are the visionary and love your enthusiasm to transform the farm into bits and pieces of all your journeys. Is like a big puzzle and you have collected pieces along the way and cementing roots in Portugal. Where all your boarders will be one -full of kids/ family gatherings/ sustainable resources and abundance of life long lessons. We on the other hand have the privilege to watch you The Newbys Squad and the honor to sit at your table- even if it is over a screen. I am in awe of Tara and that you are up and about so soon after a c-section. Please take it easy because that is a big operation to recover from. I really am enjoying watching the family grow, the adventures you get up to and the places you visit. If you get a chance you should see if you can speak or visit Charles Dowding - he has a youtube channel as well - he has a lot of fantastic advice on growing food in the least damaging way for the planet.

The best natural pool I’ve seen (not in person), is the pool by the Weed’em and Reap channel. They have the water going through a second shallow pond where most of the plants are doing the filtering. They are in Arizona where the weather is warmer as well.
