Right 😂

The fact she with a straight face suggested the Egyptians took care of their people, while talking about the pyramids famously built by slave labor was the funniest part to me
Did they start building them at the top, or the bottom? 💀
@@dig8634 But in the context of the times slavery was readily accepted, even by many former slaves. And not taking care of slaves would be seen as more morally wrong than having slaves.

I wish she, for once ask an intellectual, a purely logical question and then say "oh, pardon me, it was a stupid question"
I think that would ruin the intended purpose.
to be fair, she often does ask genuinely good questions, she just words them in such a way that they seem stupid. she's often brought up concepts or genuine questions in the field. An example is when she brings up the idea of solipsism when she did the 'i think therefore i am' bit with the philosophy professor
All her questions are purely logical! I guess you don't know how logic works.
😂
@@Durzy007 well.. asking if the pyramids were built from top to bottom or bottom to top its not precisely logical lol
I know I'm sounding like a Captain Obvious but I love that she had some of the most distinguished scholars and professors sitting in front of her, and she chose to ask them the dumbest questions possible, gaining absolutely nothing from the wells of knowledge these people possess. Watching these scholars respond to her dumb questions with so much patience and understanding is just beautiful.

We have dumb questions we are too afraid to ask. She asks a question 5 times dumber and we get responses that are able to provide answers to the questions we are afraid to ask. Her questions are 5 times dumber than the ones we want to ask, but they serve to help us learn more things.

I am astonished to know how you counted that 5 times to maybe just only 2 times or if not 10 times, eh?

I just loved the one where the lady broke character and burst out laughing only to be met with crushing scorn.

Her delivery is impeccable. Great timing. Truly underrated.
That fact she’s able to troll people and keep a straight face And the fact that people who are very passionate about their work are being trivialised and mocked and manage to stay utterly cool and respectful is just amazing on both ends haha
Considering she's a character, im sure they know what they're getting into when they go for an "interview"
But you see, IMO, when it's comedy, ppl take it in good humour...she is not personally "mocking or trivializing" these professionals at all. I'm puzzled that somehow, this idea that ppl should take offense when a comedian is performing has ruined a fine art. We used to be able to be self deprecating, but now ppl just see themselves or others as victims of oppression, when they should be laughing their heads off.
Man I don’t think I have seen cringe humour performed so well. Where we ain’t actually cringing but just laughing. Her deadpan expressions and dry delivery is absolutely brilliant.
Props to everyone of the guests for taking her questions seriously. It makes it so much more entertaining to try and actually explain through her stupidity.
*Her deadpan delivery + probing questions make her one of the best!* Would love to see her, Nathan Fielder and Demetri Martin go at it sometime.
