Synopsis: During their decade-long quest to defeat the Demon King, the members of the hero's party-Himmel himself, the priest Heiter, the dwarf warrior Eisen, and the elven mage Frieren-forge bonds through adventures and battles, creating unforgettable precious memories for most of them.
However, the time that Frieren spends with her comrades is equivalent to merely a fraction of her life, which has lasted over a thousand years. When the party disbands after their victory, Frieren casually returns to her "usual" routine of collecting spells across the continent. Due to her different sense of time, she seemingly holds no strong feelings toward the experiences she went through. As the years pass, Frieren gradually realizes how her days in the hero's party truly impacted her. Witnessing the deaths of two of her former companions, Frieren begins to regret having taken their presence for granted; she vows to better understand humans and create real personal connections. Although the story of that once memorable journey has long ended, a new tale is about to begin.

I agree with everything you said. Frieren one of the if not the highest budget anime of the last decade. Studio Madhouse was apparently making this show back from 2021. With the first cour finished before 2023, and the goat Evan Call was hired to make the OST. So unlike other shows, all the tracks of Frieren are tailor made of each specific scene as the animation was already done. It also has some of the best background art in general. This was because they hired Oscar winner Shinji Oosutka, the key animator and background artist for Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and most of Ghibli's big hitters. And you can really see it, with how each flower sways in a slightly different direction from each other, how strands of hair move according to physics. It's one of the best animated shows period, second only to Violet Evergarden in my opinion (Violet took 5 years to completely hand draw and has the highest line count of any animated show ever. Watch the production documentary on KZhead, its really fun) Good animation is good sakuga. God tier animation is consistant fluidity and attention to detail. They animated the flow of the clothes, people going about their day, Stark putting on his shoes, and EVERYTHING with so much detail. Things we never see in animations as why bother that much effort. Frieren has No moments when the characters get misshaped, No scenes with chibi characters, NO still shots The scene is always moving with small details. PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW INSANE THAT IS!!!! Ahm... Sorry for my outburst. As an aspiring animator, I cannot stress how impressive Frieren's animation is. Thank you for reading my glaze session.

Read the manga man el dorado arc will make you glaze harder than you can imagine. Realistically season two will come out in like 4-5 years since they haven't even announced production yet so what else is there to do.
