Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seemed to brush off or ignore entirely a woman's question regarding past comments made by the PM on male construction workers in rural areas during his town hall event in Regina on Thursday.
Instead of directly answering the woman's question, Trudeau diverted to talking points about infrastructure payment as many audience members voiced their displeasure.
Trudeau is conducting a cross-Canada town hall tour as part of his initial efforts in the upcoming 2019 federal election.

@@voidremoved that is the problem in these town hall gathering, the questions seems to be re-written into some kind of story telling word salad then the question, it's like the producers are trying to get you to forget about the real question because you've tuned out, I find myself tuning out of the story telling before the real question.

"Investing in infrastructure" is government speak for spending tax dollars on government projects. Fine, if they add value to our economy in one way or another but it does nothing for the economy when it does NOT add value. It lowers the unemployment rate though, because these people are now working. They are on the tax payer's payroll and probably paid for with borrowed dollars!!

Chases foreign companies (and their investment capital) out of the country like they have the plague. Chases our WW1 soldiers out of our national anthem... lest we forget. Gets India to invest $250 million in Canada but we have to invest $750 million in India first. Do you remember that day in Question Period when he was asked, repeatedly, the please answer the question, and not to pass it along to Bradish Chadder....and again and again he let Bradish Chadder answer (and she didn't answer the question anyway, she talked "Liberal talking points"). Then he goes on to say how much he appreciates construction workers building roads and cities (not mentioning oil workers, which this woman is) and then ignores her question. Lovely.
