So many scars she has left on her face and whole body - poor baby! But now she is saved and loved… I hope that she can enjoy the cosy blanket and the good and always available food/fresh water just for now, and feel lately that she is really saved and cared forever…❤️

this is true but is definitely not a problem confined to Greece, unfortunately animal abuse is universal.
Well is not only Greece it's old over the 🌍 to much cruel for animals humans traffic big cats etcetcetc
Think about the rest of the world!
Turkey and India have similar issues with strays. Ideally, there would be no strays and all domestic breeds would have homes. Realistically, a robust catch/spay or neuter and then release approach could work and be more humane than automatic euthanasia. Just my opinion.

Artemis has recovered astonishingly- she looks so very much better. New puppy lying next to her blissfully, trustingly running towards Takis. What an idyllic picture. Thank you to the tourist who was kind enough to pick up a little lost dog, thank you, as always Takis! ❤❤❤

These dogs are so sweet. I just don't understand how people could neglect them the way that they do.
Aaww poor puppy, she certainly looks like she has been in a war. Has she been checked by a vet, her eye particularly looks sore, and there are wounds all over her body? She is in the right group, hopefully she will relax and start to play when she feels better physically and mentally.
Artemis was rescued several weeks ago, and has been getting medicine for leishmaniasis and other problems since arrival. As Takis said, she looks much better now than in any previous video. The cream colored puppy sleeping next to her was found by tourists in a village. They took her to Apostolia (the shelter's Apostolia, now a mom). The puppy is in perfect condition. Either it wandered away from home, or it was rescued immediately after it was abandoned. Ellie and Romeo are in the same area.

And baby Ellie full of joyful hope that a family will come to love her forever.
