  • The Sky Island will likely never be skippable just like the Great Plateau in BotW. Probably has multiple checks implemented like its prequel to prevent you from leaving without all the abilities.

  • At 34:02 he is doing a Zuggle glitch (though it may be a different glitch with a similar effect)(stacking items in hand by dropping items and menuing). That stacks the damage and if done enough uses up to much memory and if he stands on the control platform in this state you no clip through the floor.

  • The wing on the shield boosts your shield surf jump height/distance. Which is nice for getting bullet time or when I grinds the ultra hand shrine rail

  • reason ganons health bar was gone is because the game still thinks he is fighting colgera but you can still fight ganpn because the game only checks that you have defeated the army

    • Because 1: running out of stamina is a massive time loss 2: Speed of walking/ waiting for stamina regen is also slower Doing the regen at near min stamina would be unnecessarily risky as it's only gonna drop 2 seconds or so

    • After zuggling (stacking the weapons in Link's hand) a dozen times, the game starts to run low on certain memory and the floor can be disabled by riding a horse, lynel, or steering stick. The steering stick lets you do it anywhere so it's a must-have for the speedrun.

  • There is a new duplication glitch in 1.1.2 that is a lot faster than the one used here. The only problem is it's a late game glitch, so it's not viable in a speedrun

    • It's actually not faster (might take the same time), you can't do it eveywhere,you can't dupe things that you can't fuse to an arrow, it breaks a lot of bows and you can't do it in very early game ( i still use this glitch tho cuz i'm in 1.1.2)

    • @Taguavo I guess it just depends. I've found it to be faster for me. Mostly because I've duped a 5 shot Lynel bow and I have a travel medallion set there.

  • Personally people doing it 1.1.0 to dupe really isn’t impressive, it’s quite a feat yes but the games been out for 3 weeks. So I’m curious to see when people can’t dupe and then see an awesome run! I did a speed run for the first time ever and I was able to get under 2 hours, with Duping.

    • It’s been patched. In any% it doesn’t matter what version u play, just how fast u can go so runners will go with the fastest version which is currently the unpatched version. Unless a massive discovery is made that only works post-patch then this is the way. Or just the glitchless category.
