[Italy] Milan Fire Department Responding + Station Tour!
Captured here are the regional fire department headquarters of Italy's national fire and rescue agency, Vigili Del Fuoco, in the city of Milan. I was honored to be invited in for an extended tour of this massive fire station by the very friendly firefighters. The station houses a large variety of firefighting, rescue, and specialized appliances for all sorts of emergency situations and is known as the busiest fire station in the region as well. Luckily I was also able to capture two separate emergency responses during my visit!
This is my first ever upload from beautiful Italy. I hope you enjoy it and do let me know what you think of the Italian fire trucks!

Thank you! One day 😎
We have new fire tenders! You'll see 'em soon!🤫🚒❤️
Awesome tour ... love the italien siren :O
Ih im italian and i love the siren too
Italy has cool fire trucks not gonna lie. And damn, never seen a fire station with so much vehicles like that, sounds like a parking lot😂 Also I noticed someone waving at you in 4:39 and a thumbsup at 6:51!
Thanks for the comment! 😁
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses no problem! 😄
what you see is the headquarters of the fire brigade in Milano, it has all the necessary means to respond not only in the city, but throughout the Lombardy region, it has the N.B.C.R (hazmat to be understanding) depot, amphibious vehicle, earthmoving machinery, forest fire-fighting vehicles, control and communication vehicles and instruments, buses, divers vehicles. If I remember correctly, there should also be a museum dedicated to them in the area (not inside). 4th of December all fire stations are open pubblic (if they not change for the healt safety) because it is the day of Santa Barbara, protector of firefighters and other activities that I do not remember
@@marco_grt4460 sheesh, that's a lot!
timur.i hope you had a great time in italy.nice to travel again.
Thank you very much! It definitely is great to be traveling again.
Here in Milan we have two of the highest ladders in the Italian dept. and one of the most advanced NBCR (CBRN and Haz-Mat) team in Italy.
SWEET LOOKING VEHICLE'S SIR 👍 - You know to tell you the truth, when my son saw a European Fire Truck & Ambulance for the first time he didn't know that they we're Fire Vehicle's at first because of the Blue Light's, here in Concord, New Hampshire (USA) all of our Fire Vehicle's (Including the small number of unmarked one's) have Red, White & Amber Light's on them & they did get a brand new Fire Engine a got a couple of month ago, it now has a single Blue Light in the back. 😁STAY SAFE & SOUND OVER THERE GUY'S.✌ P.S. HE LOVE'S ITALIAN FOOD TOO.🤘😎🤘
Awesome video Tim!! Love the Italian sirens!
Thank you Chris! Yea they’re something different for sure 😁
Yep, definitely different compared to the regular two-tone sirens used elsewhere in Europe (although I’ve been told by another emergency vehicle spotter here on KZhead there are a few exceptions to this because with the odd exception of 6 countries that only allow two tone sirens, most of Europe apparently uses wail and yelp tones)
@@noahater5785 no they don't use wail
@@noahater5785 what you hear is just pure fucking nonsense
awesome video !!! the milan boys from round A are the best! I hope you enjoyed it! I also make videos at the fire station in milan
Thank you very much! 😁 Yes it was an awesome experience. I spent over 2 hours with them at the station, and they even invited me for lunch! Oh yes, I see that you are frequently at this station. Just subscribed to your channel 👍🏼
You know you are recognized when a famous KZheadr subscribes to a smol channel

Fire trucks to the rescue
Great video! Can you recommend good places to shoot videos in Milan?
Thank you! The best thing I can recommend is definitely this fire station. It’s the main one for the city and the whole region, so 100% your best chance of getting fire trucks (and rare vehicles). Other than that I think the area around the main train station is fairly busy with ambulances, but I only spent one day in Milan so I don’t have all the info…
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses Thanks a lot! I hope I'll be lucky with fire engines too!
You HAVE to go to Greece...!!
So many places to go! Maybe one day 😅
How long did it take you to capture these videos?
I was visiting the station for about 2 hours and then waited outside for a bit longer. So around 3 hours in total I think.
Many vehicles
How many garages are there at this station I'm very curious 🤔
A lot 😂
Quite a lot, as it is both the Regional Command of the National Firefighter Corps in Lombardy and the Provincial Command for the Milan province.
4:44 Is that Dutch Dire toon sirene? it sounds like it to me
No, it's the station's alarm tones!
🙂🙂🙂🙂
😁😁
Ich stand vor kurzem bei der feuerwehr Verona Italien geh dann weg an der nächsten roten Ampel kommen die auf einmal mit Blaulicht eyyyyyyy😪😭😅😅
Oh man. Sowas passiert auch mir leider viel zu oft… 🤦🏻♂️😆
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses ja kann ich mir vorstellen
Could too make a vid eo over dhtch firefighters
Hello TGG
Hi there
to me it sounds like the siren is going rrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeee beep beep
What are the names for these vehicles?
Fire trucks.
@@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses yea what are the specific names for the different fire trucks?
APS, AutoPompa Serbatoio (pumper truck with tank) is like the German HLF, a multirole truck that responds to every incident. ABP, Auto Botte Pompa (tanker-pumper truck) is similar to the German TLF, can only seat up to three firefighters and it's a water tender. AS, AutoScala, ladder truck. Those are the three main trucks, toghether they form what's referred to as the "attack trident". In many Italian fire station the "prima partenza" - the first response crew of 5 - doesn't ride all in the same truck like you saw in this video, but they are split between the APS and a brush fire pick-up truck (the name of the pick-up is CA/ESK where "CA" stands for Campagnola, the name of an old Italian offroader used in the past and now used by FFs to refer to all of their offroaders, and "ESK" which indicates the removable brush fire module). Splitting the crew like this helps navigating narrower roads and getting on the scene faster. Because the fire service in Italy is a national corps most firetrucks are bought in bulks and distributed to the stations by the Ministry of Interior. This is means that you can find the exact same firetruck in completely different places of country. The different firetrucks bought and distributed by the Government are identified with a nickname. Usually this nickname is just the brand of the commercial chassis on which the truck is based (e.g. the APS that responded at the end of the video is called the "APS MAN"), in other cases the nickname is given by the manufacturer itself (it's the case with APS that responded at the start of the video, which was called "Super City" by German firetruck builder Magirus). Is there more you'd like to know?
@@tommy_64_20 nope. Thanks so much
Italian emergency vehicles seem to have very poor ELS, only 2 LED on grill and 2 led beacons on the roof, along side with 2 in the back, no intersection lights or additional LEDs on the side of the vehicle.
yes, Italian or even European vehicles do not have many ELS, in italy there is no definite answer to this, they were born this way with few lights
@@flavio_809 British or polish or finnish or swedish vehicles have more lights.
@@unmanned_system Heck, even emergency vehicles in North America have more lighting than that.
We don't like to show off like US carnival trucks, not necessary, drivers in Italy give way to emergency vehicles. 😘
@@unmanned_systemShit weather requires more lighting

Could you make a video of this one from Brazil?
Maybe one day if I can travel to Brazil! 🙂
U should record the American fire trucks from the São Paulo state fire dept. in Brazil
