I made a mistake like this in one of my recent videos. I used the KZhead video editor to quickly cut that part out of the video. I just found a good stopping point. One or two sentences before. And one or two sentences after. And I was able to edit it without people noticing. The tool can be handy when you need it
In my humble opinion I believe if Moto would’ve came out the gate with these prices they’d have out sold Samsung 4 to 1 it’s very hard going up against a giant like Samsung with the same price not smart of them they need to keep these prices & they’d be back in the Flip Game 💯
You are absolutely right because Motorola doesn't have the best track record for updates they don't have the best track record for having great cameras. They do have a clean software experience. They're not that innovative at least now. Maybe back then. They were very innovative but they should have come out the gate with that price of 499.$ they definitely would have sold out and outsold Samsung

Purchased this model a few hours ago on Consumer Cellular for $399. It replaces my Sonim XP8. Had a 2020 razr flip and loved it so really looking forward to the 2023 razr. Thanks for the video.

Got mine for $199 with adding a new line on cricket for a steal (needed one anyways) and I use it as a backup to my flip 5. Decent battery. Definitely a great deal for $240 after tax and the price of the line.
I got it from cricket for the same price as well. I also got it as a back up phone. It has 128 GB and I need that for filming my daughters performances.
@@PJMitchem Same here as backup. I bought it because of the price I already had like 3 other phones. It performs surprisingly faster than I thought and has great battery so may eventually make it my primary. Wish it had more case options though.

I was lucky I was able to pick an open box up for 400 and it’s so much nicer than my flip five I never really needed the front screen and I kind of missed just putting it in my pocket and not worrying about it which I now do with my Motorola razor Absolutely love it receptions better. Bluetooth is better I’m happy.

I initially wanted the cream after seeing yours, but I thought it might show dirt and wear and tear more if I decided to go without a case. So I got lilac instead. I’m just opening it now and setting it up. It’s neat! Super light and it’s more of a dark purple. It looks brighter in videos!
The purple color would have been my choice. Sadly I had no input on it, but grateful for the one I received.
I've had it about a week now. I decided to get the non plus version because I wasn't sure about all this- my first flip phone... But I actually love it and wish I would have purchased the plus. It's awesome! Ya it's not the pixel 7 Pro but ya gotta take chances sometimes right? I needed something new to spice things up

I purchased the Vanilla Cream version. It comes with a clear/frosted protector case. It looks great on and will protect the vegan leather surface from dirt.

People tend to sleep on Motorola phones lately, but they're actually pretty solid. I picked up one of these Razr 2023's at launch because they were $100 off plus they were giving an extra $100 towards a trade-in. I had an old Moto G lying around that I bought used on ebay for like $50 that they gave me $160 for, making the Razr $440 plus tax. Moto's trade-in service is painless and they even send you a box and shipping label. The build quality is what impressed me the most about the Razr 2023, as it feels sturdy and the hinge is smooth and tight. And the crease is almost non-existent, unlike the Z Flip 5 which has a very noticeable dip that your thumb/finger sinks into every time you slide it across the screen. I'm hoping Samsung finally fixes that with the Flip 6... I'm a little disappointed by the inclusion of the 7 Gen 1 and not the newer 7 Gen 2 (or is it the 7+ Gen 2?), as the 7G1 only performs on par with the old 778G+ in my Nothing phone 1. But I guess the newer 7G chip would cost too much and perform too close to the 8+ Gen 1 in the pricier Razr+. Still, it does just fine in normal everyday use. Just don't plan on running any intensive games on it. The only area where Moto really needs to improve is the cameras. I know I'm spoiled by using a Pixel 8 as my main phone, but I had an old Galaxy S9 that took better photos than this Razr. The pics it takes are serviceable, sure, but they sometimes make me cringe a little especially if I compare them to the pics the Pixel can produce. I really wanted a flip phone to play with and have as a backup phone, and for $499 this one can't be beat. Had I waited a little longer, I might've been tempted by the Razr+ at $699 but that's a little more than I wanted to spend on what amounts to a novelty item for me.
Yep,,people forget or most just know motorola make the radios and communications etc for emergency services and military.
I got mines through cricket. But since i was already a cricket user it was $299 with tax and shipping $351. But I absolutely love it. The only thing I would say is that after almost 3 weeks of use, the hinge paint on the back is coming off a tiny bit. But I love it
I was planning on getting the Razr 40 Ultra in black .... then I saw the Razr 40 in Vanilla Cream and even though it has a smaller external display I love it. Better battery too. I just bought one on sale thanks to Black Friday sales. I'm keeping an eye on the 40 Ultra .... hoping the price will come down a bit more that it has already for Black Friday... might wait until Cyber Monday to see if it drops even more. I still hope to buy one. In Australia Razr 40 is currently $775 inc taxes (USD $500 - same as US price) Razr 40 Ultra (aka Plus in the US) is currently $1197 inc taxes (USD $780 - $80 dearer than in the US)
Love mine so far have had it for 3 weeks.
I just ordered the razr in the green from T-Mobile for Christmas. Finally the price is better for finally a flip phone! My last was a flip blackberry and currently have iPhone 13 mini. Love iPhones but ready to try something different.

Happy Veterans Day!! Great video I saw this at best buy and it looks really nice. Love the leather.. would be able to use the phone with no case which is awesome. I have the z flip 5 and while it's great I feel like I don't use the front screen nearly as much as I thought. Just got the fold 5 on a crazy trade in but I still think the flip with the small front screen is my favorite type of flip. I like the fact that I would have to make a concerted effort to use the main screen. Not sure the flip is for me. Main screen is awesome but I really like the flip style phones. At 499 it's a steal. Can't wait to see what you think after a longer time with the phone.

I have both as well, my Plus is red like yours, but my regular one is the greenish color. Cricket actually has them for $200, without port-in, which is insane in itself! I got the Galaxy S23 FE yesterday from Metro (took my 2 weeks to find) for only $50!

@@bettyduren3565 they have great deals, just not on the Galaxy S23 FE, but if you're going Cricket, definitely don't pass up the deal that they have on the Razr 2023! Boost has the same deal on it, but Metro, while they too have deals on it that aren't bad, it takes a bit of work, to get it down to the same price, however it's still a deal nonetheless. I just wish Cricket had deals on the Galaxy S23 FE.
I think I want a flip. I love the S series candy bar but want to try a flip. Not sure I'm gonna trade my 23u yet. May try a flip next year if I ever find extra $$ times are different right now with funds.
I've been using the moto g 5g for the last couple years. I used to be a huge LG phone fan and when they were no longer an option i tried Motorola. The first moto G I got was prepaid and it was flawless and fast. The second moto g was thru t Mobile, same thing, functioned perfectly for me. The camera could've been better but that's not important to me. I finally decided to buy this razr, i had one of every color back in the day so I've been dying to try this!! I can't wait, i got the lilac color thru consumer cellular. I've been wanting to upgrade to a better Motorola phone after getting my feet wet with the cheaper models. I have a feeling I'll be in love!! LOL 😂 love your videos. You're awesome.
It's $199 with Metro By T-mobile too. Was literally just there yesterday.

They are for sure, making a comeback. The RAZR keeps improving year after year, which is a good sign. And more and more people are interested in flip phones these days as a lot of people like the small form factor and also getting tired of the same old candybar sized phones. Which I'm sure will push Motorola, Samsung and everyone else to push ahead with improving flip phones. Exciting times ahead. :)

It's a good looking phone. I think they would be more appealing if they made them a little more narrow, like the original flip phones, except with a full touchscreen in the more narrow area. I wouldn't need/want a touchscreen on the outside.

They should make a pink one of these, but i am planning on buying this phone their other flip model is way to expensive for me to buy. I really don't care about the screen on the front of the phone as long as it shows notifications am cool with that. Hopefully Motorola can make a comeback with their phones and devices.

I am trying to decide between the Razr and the Samsung S23FE. I don't do gaming but take a lot of pictures and videos. I have a lot of text messages and do video chat. I wish either phone had more storage than 128 or a expandable. cricket has such great deals right now.

@@bettyduren3565 Hi Betty, the Razr 40 has 256gb of storage by default. That should be plenty for you. However, the camera may not be as good as the Samsung. Really it comes down to whether you want a more compact phone or if you're happy to stick with a more traditional candybar phone. A lot of people have two phones these days ..... while the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales are on, look out for some great bargains. You might be able to get hold of both. You can use the Samsung as your daily driver, for photos and videos, and reserve the RAZR for going out to dinner, to meetings, or special ocassions where a small compact phone makes better sense.
I bought this a few months ago because I wanted a change from the Z Flip phones (I had the Z Flip 3 & 4) and didn't want to spend a fortune. I think I paid the equivalent of $600 and I love the phone. It's as good as the Z Flip 3/4 (although the cameras are better on the Razr IMO) and it shows that a good folding phone can be made without costing a fortune. I also prefer Moto's take on Android over Samsung's, it's much lighter and cleaner with subtle, thoughtful additions instead of total rebranding/reskining. The one, small dowm is the hinge is not quite as good as the Samsung

@@TechOdyssey I was envious of one of my co worker back when the first Razr came out. It was thin and way cool with the keypad. Thought it was very futuristic. Of course I couldn’t afford at the time.

Having had a z flip 3 & 4 and now having the razr, u can say the crease is much less noticeable on the razr. I barely see it in day to day use and I barely feel it using the screen, unlike the flips

Was really considering the Razr for my wife's Christmas present, but since the cameras suck and it only gets two years of major software updates, I had to go with the Edge+ 2023. Thought about the Razr+ also, but my wife likes a good camera phone, and the cameras are apparently mediocre on it also.
I have the Razr and the cameras are plenty good. They take better photos than the cameras on my previous Z Flip 4, at any rate

@@adamschulte5903 yeah, I took a bit of a gamble with almost all of the reviews being for the ultra and little solid info on the normal model. I'm very glad I did, tbh. Battery life is usually great, gets me through a day of reasonable usage on 5g or can even get two days of light usage at home (i.e. on wifi, no 5g)

I got my Motorola Razr Plus when it first came. And now it's at $699.00 I really wish I would have waited and not pull the trigger so fast on it but I'm still happy with it. Awesome phone! Love it and @ $699.00 highly recommended it I paid $999.00 and I'm loving it.

In Australia its priced at $1199 (USD $780) ..... I hope it will come down under the $1000 aussie price mark. :( Even at $999 USD its a good investment. Money well spent BigJeffroeX. ;)

After buying the phone, in case anyone's curious yes you can pick up the phone from the outer screen and it goes to speakerphone closed.

Here is what I am hoping. I hope motorola comes out with a better razr 2023, not the plus. Meaning a better and faster processor and 256 gigs of storage. I work in construction and i have the razr 2023 with a bad ass military grade camo cover. Working in construction, the plus would be a bad choice due to the outside screen

Interesting .... I just convereted 899 Euro to Aussie dollars and it works out to be $1499, which is the standard price (non Black Friday price) over here. Right now the price has come down to $1199 Aussie (Euro 720), $300 off. Hopefully the price in Deutschland has come down to something like Euro 699 for black Friday sales. ;)

@rick_terscale1111 I do wish they would put 5000 mah battery in new phones. I find it very annoying when they put 4300, 4500 or 4800 just put 5000 and be done with it.
Mate upgraded from the razr to the ultra and hes sorry. He loved being able throw in his jeans pocket etc but after month screen on ultra marked and scratched from accidentally coins or keys in pocket. Defeats purpose plus battery on ultra not as good as the smaller screen model.

I haven't had an issue with any of the razrs either. I have the full plus version and never use the outer screen. Maybe if I weren't so near-sighted...

I used to be a huge Moto fan, but they are horrible at providing software updates. That is why I left for Samsung and never looked back. Samsung is the best on the business with updates.

Since manufacturers don't include much stuff in the box, I'm surprised they don't just put the stuff in a zip lock bag or a disposable brown paper lunch bag, those cheap ass bastards lol. The manufacturers thinks most consumers are dumb and don't any know better since that's how they treat there customers. You have to be biased and a shill since all the manufacturers are hypocrites and can't take any constructive criticism. I rather buy and support products when the manufacturers listen to the customer constructive criticism because it makes the products that they sell, they can improve on what they are trying to sell based on the negative feedback. Honesty is the best policy has become a rare commodity these days. All the customers wants is what they paid for to become improved and better than what they last bought and they see it as value and a worthy upgrade.
