No matter how much these companies use recycled parts and components and adopt green initiatives, they are still not enough to convince me that they removed chargers from boxes for the sake of their profits and not for the environment.
If the chargers followed the same logic as the other eco-stuff, then surely, it would be sufficient to make the charger 10% smaller. No need to remove it entirely.
You don’t have any chargers already? Or can’t spend $20-30 for a new one? Lol

Just hit over 3 years with my current iPhone 11 Pro Max, before that I lasted 4 years with a 6S Plus and would've kept it for longer had the rear camera not decided to give up the ghost. I'll probably upgrade this one when something significant decides to break like I did with the last.

In case you didn't notice, KZheadrs make way more money from being critical and cynical, than being positive. Cynicism in this video was especially weird considering that Samsung is basically single handedly developing foldable phone niche, rather successfully too. Having said all that we had smartphone innovations for nearly 2 decades now. We know what works and what didn't work. This phone is just a culmination of all of that.
@@Glotttis you don’t know jerry then? He has never critiqued any of Samsungs features even the gimmicks. This is his first time doing such. @@CrizzyCrazy dude do watch Samsung's fold videos on the same channel, you will know that Samsung's foldable is more stronger than 1+ 10, Asus ROG, Lenovo Legion...so on...Also, Samsung's foldables are water & dust resistant. The only samsung phones I've owned were the Note 8 and my current phone the s20 ultra. I only bought the 2 based off of Zacks reviews. If he ever switches to another daily driver, you bet im going to follow too. This guy knows how to review
I used to upgrade every 2 years (end of contract with isp) However this year i decided to upgrade from my s20 fe (which i enjoyed a lot) to the 23 ultra. Never wanted a big phone but decided to give it a try regardless. (Not gonna lie, the moon pics are what made me pull the trigger. I have hundreds of moon pics and its always just a ball of light. Now that i can do it properly (havent had the chance, no clear skies since i got it about a week now) i decided why not). It was a life steps gift. I did some steps in my life and said i would get a watch as a reward for the hard work but opted for the phone instead. Wasn't feeling the size but getting used to it. Thoroughly enjoying the coloring app for the pen. Thats neat and relaxing. And this time i purchased it outright. Meaning im not attached to any isp or loans or anything. So if a s24 comes out tomorrow and i decide i want smaller, ill get the 24+ for free. (In a way) or get another ultra for a couple hundreds. Upgrading every year is useless. You wont see the upgrade per-say. Every 2 years, you notice it but still, not that much. Waiting 3+ years is best. Skipping 2 models or more is always better. You can see the differences. With all that said, i highly doubt ill ever switch away from samsung.(unless they become literal doodoo). It has everything i want and just being able to put and change phone themes when i want to make it mine, is the main feature that keeps me with them. Have tried pixels, have tried motorolas, lg, sony, even some chinesium brands but always came back to samsung.(would literally return the phone within a week to go back). Ill also never go apple. I like to be my own person and my iq is high enought that i can use a smart persons phone. I also dont believe i need an apple to be cool. I have background experiences that'll make me cooler then any simpleton with an iphone.
Just got my S23 Ultra as an upgrade for my older S10 and definitely feels like an update. Though I'm not used to the heavier weight and bigger screen as of yet.
Same here but coming from S9+. We'll get use to it pretty quickly 🤞
@misku I upgraded to S22 ultra in 2023 from S2 2011 lol how's that!! 😆 I could have bought S23 but I love the colour of Burgundy
I think Samsung and all of the other big names in the industry should stop launching phones every year. Because nothing changes, minimal changes in design, the processing power increases by 20% or so, you add a 1 to last year's model and that's it, nothing new. If you want to see a big difference you need to wait a couple years. They just release phones every year to fill up their pockets and to generate a sense of urge to upgrade. Btw, I think the 10 series is the best of Samsung, the S10 was groundbreaking and the Note 10 is the best looking phone ever
@@baxter5024 Well Jerry was bashing on this phone, but right now, it's by far the best phone when it comes to taking any kind if pictures and videos. It completely dethroned the iPhone
@@baxter5024 I get the point and I somewhat agree with that. But maybe there is someone with an S20 out there who wants to wait a year and maybe upgrade his phone next year and it wouldn't feel as good knowing that the latest phone is already over a year old. Ane it would damage the brand loyalty since many would just upgrade to whatever is the latest phone. The cycle is key here. When I got my S10 in march after 2 years when my contract ends in march, I can 100% be sure that that is the time when a new Samsung phone launches making it more appealing for me to stay with Samsung. So when someone elese gets the latest iPhone as an early on, it will be really hard to get him off that cycle. But sure. It's a company, they want to make money, but I'm fine with that as long as we get some value for the money spend. Sometimes you'll get bigger jumps and sometimes minor improvements, and sometimes you'll hold back the improvements just to sell them the next year like Apple does.
I TRULY appreciate how you remain a strong proponent of using our phones for years. I honestly believe rather than constant innovation in features, companies should invest in better R&D to make phones long-lasting for the long-haul.
That's exactly what they're avoiding
You do know they intentionally make the phone last for short period right? Even if the phone works fine they release software updates to make them slow
Realistically they cannot do that because that's almost 'against' their business model. The best they can do is provide a charger, case and a headphone jack.
@@ZenZone77 that's true
Literally can make a light bulb last alot longer but what happens if they only sell once

na wrdd idk how to feel abt the rectangular phone and the ability to lose the pen 😂
I was using a beat up s8 for the last 6-7 years and I gotta say, the s23 plus I just bought is a super nice upgrade. I didn't get the Ultra because it just seems like overkill and the size is getting to that point where I can barely hold onto it. I have issues with the plus already and I don't want to push my luck with an even bigger phone. The camera and s-pen are cool features, but I'd probably use the s-pen like twice before forgetting about it and the camera maybe three times before forgetting about it. Beyond the occasional nature picture, DnD monster statblock pic, or landscape, I basically never take pictures with my phone. The only issue I have with the s23 plus is that they didn't give it the same UHD screen the Ultra has. Not sure why they didn't but you won't even notice it either way honestly. It's more of a nerdy braggadocious thing than a practical add. I also think the s23 plus gets better battery life because it has the 1080 screen over the 1440.
but you can just change the screen resolution really easily like 720 1080 or 1440
Imagine paying 1200€ for a phone and still needing to buy a charging adapter seperately
The conclusion: Phone makers are loosing their minds
Imagine not already have a smartphone charger in 2023
Stop crying. You got 10 already. Only one I had to buy for the s22 ultra was the 45w. Already had the normal and quick charge adapter.
or imagine buying 1TB phone for 2000 € still getting no charging adapter
Companies with brain dead clout can now do such shit and get away with it bcs there'll be atleast 10 ppl that would give their life to make anything seem just
Upgraded from s9 plus and just got the phone today from pre-order. I was in awe and can't help but to wear a big smile when I powered on the phone for the first time. For now, I will enjoy my s23 ultra but will never ditch my s9 plus yet. It still works great. 🤩

@@MHWGamer if you preorder it you often get nice things with it. in my country you get a galaxy watch 5 with it. but in my country preorder does not necessarily mean that you have the phone at home on the first day. then you better just buy it the first day in the store. I own a Fold 4 in part because of your teardown and durability videos. It helped, however, that Samsung steered some of their marketing dollars my way and offered me the Fold for $800. I had a two-year old Note 20 Ultra (which I loved), but Samsung offered me $900 to trade it, doubled the physical memory on the Fold to 500 GB, and gave me one of their $80 phone cases (with S-Pen) in the bargain. Jerry, I heavily appreciate your realistic environmental patter on EVs, smartphones, and consumer products. It means everything that 7.61 million people are hearing your ideas and being able to spread them, and that you are not afraid to point out when companies are greenwashing and doing the bare minimum. You are making a difference in so many fields. Please keep it up!
Thank you!!!

2 dollars for a comment? Ur that rich or WHAT?
At least give a $5 come on😄😆
I upgrad every 2 years for the cpu processor I had the s21 previously and now having the s23 plus I am very pleased with how much better it is for gaming.
I love my S23 ultra. Mind you: my last phone was a Galaxy S20 FE 128GB so, pretty big upgrade for me. I also have the Tab S8 Ultra, so having them sync and work together is awesome.
I've got the s20 Fe and have been debating 23+ or ultra. Don't want the smaller screen of the base model. How's the change been?
@@JameseyFrey Sup. It's wonderful.
This was so satisfying to watch and offering plenty of sound reasons to stick with my reconditioned S21 Ultra.
From a note 20 user this is a upgrade but yea you will be better of waiting for the s24 lol same with the s22 ultra or wait for the s25 I only upgrade every 3 years because of the battery not living past 2 years and since my contact ended on August this year I decided to go for that upgrade so many 2 years due to battry is probably the better upgrade untill we get diemond batterys and a phone that can last 10 years on a charge
S21 Ultra is the last great one.
If camera is ur main reason then yeah, no reason to upgrade but if you are a power user, then it's worth the upgrade
I use a Note10+ i'm not not going to upgrade lmao.
@@jonathanoxlade4252 You think a Note20 Ultra would be worth upgrading? Or are you just saying the standard model? I can't find anything besides the 200mp cam worth upgrading from an Ultra.
Love it bro! Amazing video like usual.....I finally bit the bullet this year and went ahead and upgraded from my note 9! First new phone in 6 years so I'm sure i'll be happy with it! I've been waiting for them to go back to flat glass on the flagship option because I HATE the curved screens, but I've used the Note since the Note 2 and refuse to go away from the SPen.....this year it the year I finally bit the bullet
I'm in the same boat...gutted they dont offer trade in on the note 9...
@@cater4anytink45 they do bro lol... Im trading mine in. It's $130 for cracked and like $190 for good condition.
Did you not change the battery in between?
@@dev77799 nah man.. Still gn on the same original battery. It's not too terrible either, but Im a below average user lol I don't have Facebook n shit so Im far from a heavy user. Plus my phone sits on thr charger on my work bench all day long while I work listening to my Spotify podcast.
@cater4anytink I traded in my S4's with AT&T. Mind you I switched carriers but they gave me $1000 off purchase price for the ultra. Could've gotten the basic S23 for free (with bill credits).
I’d be interested to know how scratch resistant the lenses are. Does Samsung use “sapphire” like Apple or are they just using glass? I mean I know that Apples sapphire lenses aren’t pure sapphire but I’ve never had a scratch on an iPhone camera lens so it must be doing a decent job.
The anxiety I got during this video went through the roof! Thank you for the indepth coverage!
5:56 I have youtube premium 🗿🗿.
Watching this using my Samsung S7 Edge. Still works properly. I just replaced the battery by myself once when the battery life was terrible.
Me too I'm using the S7 edge, still works perfectly fine
I'm using a fold 2 and you don't know how much you're missing. I do feel sorry for you. It's just a live demo unit, but I don't think being behind with the times is anything to be proud of.
Man how do you live with that? I got one for free and it was genuinely unusable. Android 8 just doesn’t work anymore. Can’t install a custom rom because Samsung loves bending over for carriers.
My s7e had the pink line issue and I stopped using it last year
@Mr Selivestove he never said to but one he said your missing out which he is because the difference is astronomical he should upgrade but if he doesn't want to he doesn't have to no one is trying to make someone buy something
How this guy sounds super chill and relax, when hes breaking some expensive shit. 😂😂
Was offered 1000 trade in on my S10 plus so I did upgrade after 4 years. It's pretty nice but definitely not game changing other than getting security and os updates going forward.
By far some of your best writing or live riffing 😂. Top quality passive aggressive backhanded compliments
I have my s23 ultra 1tb ordered, it is good to see multiple color options on the Ultra being a thing. My S21 ultra only came in black and it sucked.. Ill get the teardown skin from D-brand, I had that on my s21 ultra too. Love the look.
You've got me cringing in my chair watching you scratch up the phone like that hahah. I had watched many videos before taking the plunge and buying the S23 Ultra but wish I saw this one before doing so; it's got me thinking I should go back and swap it for the regular S23 or even an S22. Thanks for the intense testing and honest review; I love hearing reviews from folks who are skeptical of marketing ploys.
Using a mate 10 pro for 6 years. Have to upgrade because software obsolescence. Hardware is fine except usb-c port getting tricky. Back then you got a screen protection a silicon protection and a charger in the box.
I love your comparisons to the Note 10 plus. Been rocking it since launch, here's to the next four years!
I wish my Note 10 Plus still properly worked. I ended up with the damn cold sensor failing thus it thinking the phone is too cold so it won't charge it. I ended up getting the S22 Ultra
2:09 I think the one on the right is the S23 ultra It has a lot more details
I'm still using the Note 9, I'm not seeing enough intervention in the software and features to upgrade. Samsung and Apple and Google only seem to be interested in improving the cameras. In Australia the photos are close to $2000, not woth it for just a camera software update and a extra lens.
"The s-pen is useful for a lot of things..." **snap** LOLL
This might've been your most poetic video yet. Love it. 😆
Only you can do this Boss❤️
When you take into consideration the cost of a gaming pc vs a small handheld device that is fairly limited, I was really scratching my head where the pricing is coming from.
Where is the S24 video? Where is it, Jerry? I need to see the scratch resistance of the armour glass!
5:18 your mom got some mad rhymes
7:31 You're tearing me apart, Lisa!!
Spen probably my favourite part of the ultra line up *Snaps it in half
I have an s23 and the way he snapped that pen 😂
I like how honest you are. Many ytbrs are not - Paid for. I have S21U and upgrade for me would be plain stupid. Thank you.
Lmao no sane reviewer is sitting there telling you that you have to upgrade to this phone when you have a 2 year old flagship 😂😂
@@propersod2390 thats not true. For example supersuf did just that. Just look at his video. He said upgrade from S21U is reasonable. And he also provides you with link to Samsung where you can buy it... so... :))))
@@sudetenrider-pili6637 it is reasonable though for the battery life and camera alone 😂 reasonable does not mean you SHOULD. Reasonable means that it isnt an idea that should be instantly crossed out like upgrading from an s22 would be
