The Mighty Gomondwane Tank, a comparison to last year.
Tank is almost half the size he used to be, and this is mainly due to his ventures off alone, without his brothers Splitnose and Blondie.
The Gomondwane male lions have the throne in the far southern kruger national park, and Tank has always been seen as the biggest male lion in the entire park.
But with his current size and condition, even Splitnose is bigger, and bulkier.
Will the mighty Gomondwane Tank return to his previous self ever again? Will we see the mighty Tank is his peak shape again?
The male lions in the kruger national park have lots of stories, and some will definitely have sad endings......that's the way of nature, and the first rule out there in the wild, survival of the fittest, and in this case, survival of the biggest male lion around....

Omgosh!! I’m literally in tears right now. My heart breaks for him. My favorite lion and coalition. That injury is really getting him down. I pray there’s nothing else wrong like TB. Someone had said they recently saw him and Splitnose mating. There’s no way he can mate in that condition unless this is a little older and he’s doing better now. Praying hard he can somehow recover 💜🦁🙏

Yes to bad he's a huge beautiful boy I noticed in this video he has punctures on his hind left leg does anyone know who he was fighting with must have been more than 1 forsure because yah tank is a tank I wish him a full recovery quickly and his brothers need him lotsa movements around Kruger lately get well soon big fella 😊

It’s kind of sad to see how hard he has changed in a year. He really was the biggest lion, I hope that he can get his good shape back but I personally don’t find that most important thing, as long as tank stays healthy it’s all good🦁 also age is starting to change him maybe, but for sure his solo adventures. He’s still intimidating to💪🦁 that something he will never lose for sure 👑

Changed so much my friend. Can't believe it's the same lion sometimes. Really hope he shows up soon, it's been a long time since he was seen. Splitnose and Blondie are seen regularly around the Hippo Pools territory, but no signs of Tank yet.
i think every lion goes like this because they cant eat everyday still tho he still in good shape

When Tank, blondie and splitnose are in good shape, no lion coalition can beat them! I miss seeing the 3 of them together in good shape, healthwise.😢

Yep...Tank is lot smaller now in muscle mass than year ago and i dont think he ever will be the same.It's harder to gain muscle when you are older and so much competition all the time.Tank is still Tank...just smaller Tank.I hope those boys will rule few more years before they go down fighting.Thanks again for all your work and be safe my friend👍

Damn, he can barely walk in that one scene. Do you have a video of Tank or him & his brothers fighting other males? I ask bc I’ve never seen one and am just wondering if Tank is/was a great fighter too to go along with his massive size. If not a video, maybe you can share some insight? There was a video of them and the 2 Shishengeni males it was not very clear though they went in a bush and could not see them actually fighting but when the come out of the bush they had blood all over their face and front legs. You see lions running everywhere at the start of it. I think there was 5 lions 2 against the 3 Gomondwane males. That was back in July 2022.

He got touched up by how many ? Like the late Olobor ( rip) who nursed his wounds but weathered the storm to end by herdsman in the reserve area after he took down a domestic cow ! Who bring in TB and Anthrax I believe I’ve heard . Nothing a dozen Cape Buffalo feedings won’t mend ! Ego ? Stay hydrated Tank 😅!

He definitely doesn't look good at all he needs to eat some buffalo 🐃 to get back where he was. He has lose muscle mass in his back legs and you can see his rids when he walks and he does look like he shrunk in size. If other males decide to attack now our boy Tank would probably be hurt very badly or killed if he's caught alone. I wish they would stay together. Thank you for showing us the before and after videos of him. Be safe careful and drink lots of fluids to keep hydrated my son 😊💖

I believe, on one of his ventures he got caught by rival males, and I say males because, one on one no lion around could beat Tank. Imo
@buffiesilver I do not see one mark on him though.. no blood, nothing and he saw that boar and didn't chase it or anything and he looked hungry...There is something wrong with him for sure...and he's walking way to slow...Park rangers should check him out before they loose him..
