I am from Central Kerala, from my neighborhood and from my office, I can show at least three hindu boys who have married muslim women. The fun part is that one the those boy himself give lecture of love Jihad.
When Hindu boys marry Muslim girls the girls are neither converted, nor taken to Syria, Afghanistan etc. to become fighters and suicide bomber. The marriage is for true love. But, when it is the other way round mostly it is for conversion and use them as a weapon against other religion.
What's the relation between Hindu women marrying muslim women and love jihad? Did they forcefully convert their wives' religion?

In kerala the Price of land is very high and it cost a big challenge for Businessman like me.But for a change, I say the main cities in kerala like calicut, kochi is developing. Skyscrapers are rising. It is good for kerala.I can see a bright future for these kerala

@saurab2r what do you mean by kerala is developing ? it's already developed it is the richest state according to living Standard of the people here, many business chains n showrooms which does not exist in the 4 metros of the country available here.The only state with it's own OTT platform. The biggest kiss garment export company Kitex is from kerala.Yes I agree setting up a business is costly compared to other parts of the country bcoz of the higher wages.

My mother did her nursing training from Chennai (madras)..she was from a small village in palakkad, kerala..the only daughter with 2 brothers and a school teacher mother(my nani(in the early 50s after her SSC exams..at the tender age of 16...lived in a hostel...after her training completed she came to mumbai and was working in Bombay Hospital..can you imagine, met my father who was working in Esso(now HP) and got married in 1955..😊...where i was born and still live..in mumbai..

All well explained, but one correction Vascoda Gama landed at a place named Kappadu and is in Calicut district and those days Calicut port was more popular than any other ports in Kerala and this port used to have trade relations with Arab countries. I am sure he knows it well, he might have missed it due to some confusion.

Alleppey is called Venice of the East not Venice of Kerala... And Vasco da Gama landaded at Kappad, Kozhikode (Calicut) in 1419... Kochi or Ernakulam is famous for Ancient Chinese Nets, Jew street, Jewish Synagogues, bioluminescent beach in Kumbalangi, Hill palace, Old Dutch Palace etc.. Each District has so many land marks and places for people to visit.. It will be quite differently from usual destinations...
Vasco da Gama came to kappad but could not trade there. Samudiri did not like to do business with him and later he went to Kochi where he received a warm welcome and continued his business there until they moved to Goa.

Wonderful analysis of a region we know much less of than we should. Not quite sure why he had to be asked about his comfort with conducting the interview in Hindi. He spoke so eloquently that I’d never have known him as anything but a native speaker of the language. Even more impressive, considering that he hasn’t lived among Hindi speakers for ages.
North people learn Bengali language malyalam Hindi Patti Urdu Patti
Hindi is taught compulsorily in Kerala from Standards 4 to 10. In many schools it starts from Standard 1 itself (and sometimes even from KG). Also, it's an optional in Classes 11 & 12 with other choices being French, German and Russian. And most students opt for Hindi since they already feel comfy in the language. There is absolutely no bias or anti feeling against Hindi because the average Malayali will learn just about anything to survive and get ahead in this world. Don't know why people north of the Vindhyas freak out everytime they start talking about languages. I mean, to each his own, mate! Keralites find such behavior hilarious to say the least. 😅

Very absorbing and educative intro to kerala, it seems high literacy rate ensures that the voter excersises his right with awareness. Local journa provided unbiased views and unknown fact that people from other states find it betterto work here and bringup their families due to better treatment keep it up. I now fully understand the state because of this absorbing conversation. Shud cover orissa,chattisgarh etc
That was very good interview and great explanation by Gilvister sir on Kerala's political dimension.....As a viewer from Hindi belt getting to know about governance of south states in Kerala by CPM and Congress is more competitive type and welfare centric I think.

केरल में आजादी के बाद से ही मुख्य रूप से ईसाई और मुसलमानों का ही व्यवसायिक क्षेत्र में वर्चस्व रहा है। वे व्यवसायिक नैतिकता का बहुत ही धार्मिक तरीके से पालन कर रहे थे। इस वजह से केरल के बाहर के व्यापारियों, खासकर गुजराती मारवाड़ी और कोंकणी को केरल के ईसाई और मुस्लिम व्यापारियों से प्रतिस्पर्धा करने और केरल में पैठ बनाने में कठिनाई हो रही थी। इसलिए उन्होंने अपने व्यवसाय के साथ-साथ RSS की विचारधारा को भी केरल में आयात करना शुरू कर दिया। इसलिए शुरुआत में RSS की शाखाएँ इन उत्तर भारतीय बस्तियों के आसपास स्थित थीं। धीरे-धीरे RSS ने अपनी शाखाओं के माध्यम से नफरत फैलाने और ब्रेनवॉश करने का हथियार फैलाना शुरू कर दिया। लेकिन कम्युनिस्टों ने उनकी विचारधारा का डटकर विरोध किया, जिससे संघर्ष हुआ। यही कारण है कि भले ही केरल में RSS की सबसे अधिक शाखाएँ हैं, लेकिन अधिकांश लोग उनकी धार्मिक कट्टरता का समर्थन नहीं करते। और जब RSS ने मुसलमानों के खिलाफ़ धमकी देना शुरू किया, तो उन्होंने RSS का मुकाबला करने के लिए इस्लामिक सेवक संघ (ISS) का गठन किया। बाद में, खाड़ी और अफ़गानिस्तान में अमेरिका द्वारा बनाए गए भू-राजनीतिक मुद्दों के कारण मुस्लिम युवाओं का एक बहुत छोटा वर्ग कट्टरपंथी बनने लगा। इसलिए RSS जैसे राष्ट्र-विरोधी संगठन मुस्लिम युवाओं के धार्मिक कट्टरता की ओर आकर्षित होने का मूल कारण हैं। यह स्वाभाविक है कि जब कोई आपको धमकाता है और आपके अस्तित्व को चुनौती देता है, तो वे प्रतिक्रिया करने के लिए बाध्य होते हैं। इसलिए यदि केरल से आरएसएस को हटा दिया जाए तो पूरा राज्य एसडीपीआई, पीडीपी आदि जैसे अन्य विरोधियों से मुक्त हो जाएगा।

I've recently visted calicut, kerala pls try Halwa there, banana chips and especially jake fruit chips that is very good.
Reactions from Migrants of different states living there should be taken and considered. People from Jaisalmer -Barmer (Ravindra singh's constituency ) lives in Trivandrum in large quantity and settled there from generations.
