Who's upgrading? Also, you may have missed the in-depth look at the current state of DLSS + Ray-Tracing in the last video: kzhead.info/sun/qbCwYaydfJ6ppn0/bejne.html
Not me :(
I will be. :)
Never miss a single video.
Might get Turing, if prices drop.
Hey mate what can we get that is good for ITX cases? I'm in Australia like you too so looking to get something locally.
I can't believe they didn't send you one. You are the most well known youtuber for SFF PC components and builds.
He deserved it better than Dave Lee
Johnny Laygo For sure.
Faaaaaaacts
It’s surprising how small form factor PC is still not mainstream, a lot of ppl still choose ATX as their go to PC when itx cases are so optimized
Yah I seen crazy small KZhead channel that got one
Shame you weren't sent a 3080 FE, a lot of people were looking forward to your review in popular SFF cases.
yes Optimum Tech is the SFF guru on KZhead. But I'm sure he'll get one eventually.
Lol nvidia know that it won’t fit
Yeah, that's what I'm waiting on most. Seeing thermals for the FE in sandwich cases.
Completely agree, especially a watercooled 3080 FE. I think the FE PCB is only ~186mm long if the waterblock from Bykski is accurate so could fit in a lot cases: ezmodding.com/Nvidia-RTX-3080-3090-FE-POM-inkl-Backplate_1
@@neoqueto FE cards are only available through one retailer and they are doing a raffle/lottery for the chance to buy one. Either he's entered and hoping for a chance or he's gonna pay $1000 over retail from scalpers.
He deserves to get a 3080 FE compared to MOST youtubers out there. knowing how meticulous he is, im assuming he's review of the new airflow design of the 3080 would be very interesting as he's an expert in SFF builds. covering how it performs using the new airflow design in most SFF cases. and also what you can do about it.
Right, I'd get him one just because he's very professional and not an annoying dbag like most of the "big" reviewers.
Daetton agreed mate 💙🙏🏻 Optimum Tech is cool
Big Power, Big Performance, Big Out of Stock.
Big Drama Show
Moore's Law is Dead called this... don't trust nvidia...
De Beers.
@@fatarsemonkey Yup, if its sold out it must be a global conspiracy, probably the deep state or the shipment fell off the flat earth.
@@Bahlkris100 De Beers are diamond cartel that horde diamonds to keep the price up, it a simple marketing ploy, it make people salivate more like Pavlov's dog.
Glad you got your hands on one so we can see your review.
This is my favorite tech channel on youtube, no doubt. I think it comes down to what you cover. The audio interface you covered recently and several of the EK blocks, etc. aren't covered by anyone else, and I don't know why! Keep deciding what is important to you and no doubt this channel will grow like crazy. I'm subbed to all the big boys and when they get the green light from their reviewers I have 4 identical videos within the hour. Realistically I only watch one of them.
Will you make a Video about deshrouding the 3080? Perhaps in the ncase :D
Yes Ali! Been waiting for your review.
Waiting for that Ghost performance.
Bought this exact card based on this excellent review! Thanks for showing the comparisons side by side in addition to the graphs. Great work as usual!
Really looked forward to picking up one today online, but all the online retailers sites crashed when I dropped a RTX 3080 into my cart.
Go watch some of Moore's Law is Dead videos... you'll understand why...
Gamers nexus made a better video explaining everything: kzhead.info/sun/pKyol6yFrYyploU/bejne.html
My 1080ti broke today but stock is 0 so goodbye gaming for a while.
Great video, thanks for all of the valuable input. I especially appreciated the total system power usage portion of the review.
Failed to get a 3080 FE :^( Your video gave me comfort.
looking forward to ITX-related 3080 videos :p
Been waiting for this specific video from this channel
As always another awesome video. Great to see your channel grow as well as it has. Fantastic eye for detail, tidy graphs and plenty of sff content! Can't wait to see one of these cards 'somehow' fit in my ncase 1 :)
Can't wait for a FE edition review inside of the Loque ghost S1 and the Formd T1 or other sandwich style cases
I was expecting ITX case compatibility
Zotac is coming.
Really appeciate the Blender and V-Ray benches! Thank you!!
Really appreciate your testing graphs having the GTX 1080 on there. That's what I'm going to be upgrading from, and it's nice having an easy comparison available. Fingers crossed you can get a FE to test sometime soon.
Thank you very much. Well laid out and understandable review.
Your videos are always so enjoyable. I'm looking forward to see more videos from you, keep up the good work!
One of the best in-depth review there around. 👍Good job!!!!!!!
Just wanted to say - keep up the great work on your videos! Always look forward to watching them. 🙂
Another clear and concise review! Well done and thanks
YES I wanted to see RT + dlss 1440p render at 4k for control and you delivered !!!!
Awesome video man! My fav pc channel by far: Side note, i miss the old logo & intro with the old logo!
Best video so far ; Everything we needed to know ; no extra ; this is perfect thanks a lot !
Would love to see how these cards perform in the Ncase, and if its possible to perform a deshroud mod
Just realized, the RAM alone on his system costs more than my PC. Nice video Ali.
I'm excited to see you get a FE 3080 card and put it through some small form factor testing. Always love your videos and how beautifully they're shot, edited, and and so informative! Can't wait to build a SFF for my next PC!
2:45 - Glad to hear Asus was so quick to help get you a GPU to review. I for one am buying more of their products for years to come. Gonna wait for their 3080 Ti though.
THANK you for CUDA benchmarks, it's such a deliht to get such information answered. Maybe, an easy and very helpful benchmark would be a Handbrake Nvenc encoding benchmark too...
I’m super excited to see these cards in some ITX builds!
What an awesome review, thanks a LOT!
Subbed for the Zotac review. Great content!
Good video, your cinematography always impresses me!
Another great video from the best tech channel on youtube! Looking forward to se some test in the Ghost S1 and NR200P to see how they handle the heat.
I have been looking forward to your reviews, I have a 1070 in my NZXT H1 so I'm upgrading for sure, and now I'm just waiting on you doing the test in that case :D
What can we do to show companies the engagement you have with the community? Your videos are stunning and super helpful
Thanks you for this video!
This channel has slowly made it into my top 5 PC hardware channels! The content just keeps getting better and better 👌
Same, the video and content quality is amazing :)
Great video on the RTX3080 and incredible channel for the latest in PC components and builds. Inspiring to see a strong Aussie tech youtuber growing! Keep up the good work! 😊
It is about to be your 4th year on youtube and with such a high quality content like this you still 343k subs only... Legends like you should be at least 1mil in those 4 years! I hope you reach it so soon
Should do a video on which ITX cases can house them
Nice Review and Graphs. Not too much information where you have to pause constantly all the time but MORE than enough. Clean and fresh looking. Good Job. You deserved a review sample!
Best clean to the point review.👌
White backgrounds in your graphs were burning my corneas in night viewings. I love these white bars on darker background graphs. Yellow bars could show black fonts better though.
I’d be interested to see more on the air flow on that triple cooler in a compact case, looks like the last fan would still blow through similar to the founders edition as there was no PCB behind it. Wonder if we’ll see some creative air ducts soon?!!
Damn amazing review! Cant wait for the MSI Gaming X Trio review cause thats the one Im looking to buy keep it up homie
Awesome dude. Love the Blender benchmarks. Can you also test with Threadripper. Initialization times should be lower with that and quad channel memory.
Does the TUF fit in an Ncase M1? Looks perfect for deshrouding.
According to their GPU comparability list online, it does but needs low profile PCI adapters
Exactly, I am waiting for someone to try it before I take the plunge and attempt a deshroud myself.
cringe
I'm curious too, especially with the blow-through design
THIS IS THE CORRECT QUESTION. Deshrouded 3080 inside M1 with NF A12x25s underneath
A benchmark more focused on the esports side of things would be greatly appreciated. Especially with the new technology they said would help improve performance (Reflex I believe it was called).
Great review. Beautiful B roll as always!
Can you also test with different SFF cases? Im still waiting for Thorzone Mjolnir.
It was reviewed unfortunately it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. QA wasn't as good as the initial samples. I opted for ncase in the end and very happy with the result
"Thorzone Mjolnir" lmao someone just went "yes" when the guy naming the product asked how many Greek mythology references do we need in the name.
@@krazyfrog Norse.
Hey Ali, Great stuff as always. How do you figure this card deshrouded would be in say an NR200? Cheers
thank you for this amazing video! do you have any feedback about the compatibility of the Louqe Ghost case and RTX3080 cards? I don't even know whether I'm gonna be able to upgrade yet!
Love your channel! What about making a video for the LZ7 XDT mini itx case? He is the most available case online
Great video! Keep it up!
Looking forward to the itx builds with it!
Its funny that the TUF gaming is one of the better options this time around, considering they've always been shit. Nice to see cards priced around MSRP being good. Pre ordered this same one, now time to wait weeks or even months for it to arrive :) Good old stock issues
Would be ideal you make these benchmarks on an ITX motherboard too. Makes me wonder why go with a full size mobo if this is a SFF focused channel :). Would also remove any doubt on performance difference between the two mobo’s. Awesome videos always!
Really looking forward to seeing if any of these would work in a sandwich style case like the NZXT H1. They all seem to have those gaps on the back plate to allow airflow in that direction. Everyones brought up the fact that airflow could be bad for those cases but nobodys tried it yet
Quick question for your thermal part of the video. What resolution were you running when measuring the heat? I see so many videos of the thermal capabilities but no one says what resolution they were running it on
Thank you Ali for this vide. No nonsense review, we need more of these. Also; this generation just shows how ridiculous the RTX 2080s pricing was.
Thanks for your Amazing Video! Love the same quality content and pro light setting always. This is what I am on the fence to buying a new 3080.
definitely make a video about these cards in sff cases!
Definitely going to get one. I upgraded my monitor to a 1440p one, and my 1060 6gb is struggling to keep up. This is awesome!
Bruh i just cant wait for u to stuff that 3090 big boi into ur T1 haha! But first... 3080 in T1 NOW
It wont be a big boi after putting a waterblock on it.

Would you be able to mention radiator clearances for the new cards coming out? I took your advance with the GPU deshroud, with a MSI card, and was extremely impressed. I'm holding off on buying for the 3070 and new RDNA2 cards, until reviews, but trying to get idea of what aftermarket cards are usable.
Awesome review. Really like the benchmarking showing 1080/2080/3080 in red dead.
Awesome video man, you totatlly deserver a lot more views and subs for this awesome content
Hey! Do you think you can fit 2 noctuas NF-A12x15 underneath the Asus TUF RTX 3080 or MSI RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio, on a NR200 case? Thanks and nice job!
Thx for the video. Will you try undervolting the 3000 series and share your results? I discovered this with one of your video and can't thank you enough for this!
Cant wait for a 3080 release I can use in my dan a4. Only double slot ive seen so far is FE with unsuitable cooler design.
Since it requires 3 slot i ordered a cooler master NR 200 P to swap my mini itx system inside. Almost all cards are thicker than 2 slots and this particular model is the best il all cathegories. Since the cooler master case have more clearance for CPU coolers i plan to order a noctua NH U 12 A.
I'm a retired auto mechanic. In the automotive world to get more power from an engine one of the things that can be done is switching to a hotter fuel. Like switching from pump gas to methanol. My point is, and question. Do you see any indication that 24volts will be utilized? That would have a dramatic affect on lowering watt/amp usage. I know many automakers are already using 48v (vs. standard 12v) for some applications. Not to mention hybrids with well over 400v. 12 volts at 100 watts draws 8.3 amps. By switching to 24 volts at 100w, amps drops to 4.2. That's much less stress on circuitry and wire thickness.
Will the 3080 FE fit in an NZXT H210 with a front-mounted radiator? This is the question for which I hope to obtain an answer before pulling the trigger on the FE. The card's listed length is literally within 1 mm of fitting in my H200 with an EVGA CLC 240mm radiator. It will be so close, either 1mm too long, or 1mm to the good. Which poses another question: If it fits, will my thermals suffer any by having the card nearly in contact with the radiator? Will this not impede or disrupt the incoming airflow at all?
finely some blender/ gpu3d render tests this is what i was waiting for. very exited for the 3090
Waiting for undervolting tests!
Great review. Thx
your review was the best over the other big youtuber names, and the quality is honestly way better than any other channel. they shouldve given you a founders edition card.
I’d love to see you put the founders edition 3080 (when/if you get it that is) into an Ncase M1 with a pair of NF-A12x25s in the bottom. It feels like the FE would be perfect for it as it exhausts half the air out and the rest past the PSU out the top, and the Noctuas should help cool all the extra side fins on it as well. Hope you can prove me right (or wrong!) before I make the leap myself.
For blender did you use cuda or optix for the testing? From personal experience I find using gpu on optix over gpu on cuda I get a pretty decent performance increase
Imma wait to see you try to build this in a cooler master NR200 with two fans underneath it to see the thermals along with 240mm aio pulling air in from the side for the cpu and reckon 750W will be sufficient for the tuf card and a ryzen 7 3700x (or maybe the newer 4th gen ryzen)
Can you give any advice about mini ITX users? From what I've seen, the EVGA 3080 XC3 is the only 2 slot card (the FE is not available in my country) The XC3 is the only one that would fit in my case (NZXT H210) but, I'm worried about temps and noise
Thank you for the video! Cool to see some numbers for aftermarket cards after everyone's videos covering the FE. Can you confirm the dimensions of the card? My sandwich-style case is limited to around 54mm in GPU width, and a lot of third parties are just listing "2 slot", "2.7 slot" etc. ASUS website says the TUF is 51.6mm in width, is that accurate? I was surprised but I've got my fingers crossed.
Looks good to me :) i grabbed the Strix 3080 OC ...Plan is to get the Lian Li O11 Mini and a new Zen3 CPU... can't wait for my bew build ... i'm also glad that a 750watt sfx PSU will be enough for my build :)
As an RX 580 user, as well as a "budget gamer" in general, I am super pumped for what the 3060 and 3050 GPUs bring to the table, assuming there'll be a 3050. It would be super awesome if the 3060 returns to the X60 pricing roots and is under $300.
Definitely want to see thermals in the Ghost S1 depending if i gotta make the switch to Formd T1 instead.
Thanks for another great video and sorry to hear that you didn’t manage to get an FE card from nvidia. Just wanted to check something... the 60°C temperatures you shared do not include the ambient 21°C, right. The MSI card you have seems to have a bigger cooler and bigger fans than the TUF card so is that to compensate the extra power or do you think that the temperatures will be lower? For instance, the Aorus 3080 master/xtreme cards seem to have the largest cooler, which I was hoping it would make the card near silent. Aorus’ dimensions haven’t been announced yet so let’s hope that it actually fits in SFF cases!
good to see the 3080 runs really good on temps, but how does it fare with a water block? is a 240mm rad enough still? do I need to cancel my Formd T1.1 preorder?!?!?
Yess...review of the graphic card I’m gonna buy from my favorite channel.
Hey @Optimum Tech Will you post a review on how those 3 fans card can even fit a mini-itx case such as ncase m1 and how thermals are. I am holding myself from buying atm due to that.
Got an FE normal price. Updated from a 5700XT which was a solid card but the 3080 almost doubles it in performance. I'm a happy camper. Only thing was the total watts it was chugging but I followed your undervolting guide and took about 50W off while getting the same performance. My only concern is the 10GB of Vram but time will tell. I'll probably upgrade before that's a limitation in most games.
Love it. Those thermals were amazing, can't wait to see how they are in some of your cases and what you can do with an undervolt. Well done for communicating your disappointment at not receiving an FE card in a professional manner.
Excellent overview
I'm using a Dan A4 v4.1, I haven't bought a 3080 yet but i'm curious what thermals you get in a sandwhich layout with the founders cooler, I'm not gonna be doing any overclocking but i know that fan would be right where the PSU is.
Also looking to see if it fits in the ncase, with 15mm or 25mm fans under?
