I don't know why I imagined the 'Plague Inc Evolved' playstyle, where players start as a group of rats and their mission is to spread the Black Death Plague without being exterminated.

100%. My toaster was amazing back in 2017... it is no longer 2017 and I have legitimately filed my taxes in the time it takes to load up the starting menu of CK3.

the amount of people dead doesnt actually represent everyone, it only represents playable characters that died so you can only imagine how many people that werent playable judt up and croaked

Did no one else notice how the black death killed so many people his second character's wife was the ruler of the byzantines? the black death was brutal.
Holding a Plague Feast should give you a chance to get a special Masque of the Red Death-style event.

Tbh Laith kinda already showed that tall is way more OP with the plagues now. Just build plague resistance in all your land and you'll destroy the other empires if you use the same settings.

My question is wouldn’t storage space skyrocket? Alot of the dead characters probably don’t have heirs, so the game will make whole new ones. Each time a purge happens, yes they are dead but they are still stored in the game’s file, and with each purge say 40% of the characters forces the game to make new characters to replace them, causing the file size to bloat fast?
@@DanksterPawsyou can disable that option in the game menu before starting, something about creating families or somethin. however titles will still sometimes have a new single heir created, but i’ve never seen a full family generated. other times the title goes to a liege or neighbor
@@badlyrosenthal5149 It’s not that, but having that setting makes it worse for sure. Even so, barons who don’t have heirs will most of the time result in a new character being created. Even if it’s only 10% of deaths that still a significant amount of new characters each time a disease purges a population, lag in exchange for file size.
@@DanksterPaws very true, but i think the bulk of population decrease comes from development loss, less levies being raised. i think that’s what kills my CPU anyways, as crusades wind up loading at lik 25% speed haha

I never used to Hold Court either, but I thought it was worth it when they added Court Grandeur to it, at least until your baseline is up to 100. Getting legitimacy from it too will be nice.

I think the DLC is something that CK3 was missing, the diseases helping lower the number of characters, especially late-game, and the legends being a good way of remembering old characters.

I can see modders making a zombie apocalypse mod using the new plague mechanic and that if a region is devastated enough then a zombie run kingdom will pop up. Take note guys this has potential.

It's quite interesting that for a certain range of development, settlements become more vulnerable to the plague. Was it 10-15-ish? High enough that there's a lot of people but not that high to have really good amenities.

This update makes it really easy to secure succession, just make your children knights and send them to an infected barony.

Download and play a pirated version until you got the money to buy it, it's gonna take like 1 or 2 weeks after the new dlc releases until you can find a cracked version that includes it

Nop, the game prevent this exploit : if you give a title to one of your vassal you have to wait one year before being able to revoke it.
@@valfoemar4761 didn’t know that. I still think it’s silly that you incur tyranny from revoking more than one county if they rebelled against you.

Do you have the click clack ratchet sound of the interface as well? Everywhere you point or drag your mouse to? It is awful! I cannot play it. Also impossible to turn it off, unless I turn off all interface sounds.

Zoom all the way out it now automatically goes to this new map screen then you just right click and move your mouse up

I’m new to CK3, played a lot of hoi4 but I’m not gonna buy all the dlc for CK, it’s overpriced and doesn’t seem to add a ton, that being said I wanna get at least one dlc, which one should I get if I can get only 1?

The Black Death is broken, it can boost a proper county at least 50 dev if you play it right.
idk if this wil be a thing u can do but can u try and see if you get a legend for rome after taking latuim from the pope as a viking varagian ? and then take rome as its legitimate emperor, could make for a awesome vid idea for you if it is possible honestly cant wait for the dlc

i think its good! Probably joint first with Tours & Tournaments for me, Just as it pretty much adds new things to do on any playthough!

Yeah you just need your court chronicler on the find seeds task, or you get them from big decisions, big wars etc too!
I liked how Legitimacy tanked when revoking titles.

It's boggling why people didn't think being clean was beneficial, even aesthetically. I still have arguments with my mother (nearly 70) who refuses to ever wash her hands and I'm like oh yeah.. this is why the plague spread.

Probably should have waited until your old character died before completing the legend then you'd have all those claims and a young character to push them.

Ck3 is looking like it is starting to shape up to be a bit more challenging. After acquiring over 1k hours I have taken a break as the game started to feel a bit monotonous and too easy, this will be a much-welcomed change!

Great video as always, but can you please do me a favor. Next time you’re in contact with paradox can you please let them know that Xbox owners demand that we get an update to the most up to date version of the game. I will no longer watch and support ck3 content creators videos until my game has the same updates and content that’s available to PC players have. I think your videos are great but sadly it feels like a kick in the teeth every time I watch, knowing the version of the game I get to play is almost 3 years behind.
