Gold plating is the best reflector of thermal radiation. It's why it was used on Skylab to help protect a exposed section (Gold layer on mylar). Just make sure you don't plate the actual heat source or it could deflect it back and heat it up more...
McLaren used it on the engine bay for the McLaren F1 car way back in the late 90s , Gordon Murray was the designer

Most other people who review cars talk about how many horsepowers a car has, about 0-60 times etc. This channel on the other hand is completely different, she shows things about expensive cars that you don’t really need to know but aren’t talked about as much as other cars. I can look up the stats of any car, but I won’t find much about the engine cover or interior lights etc. This channel sticks out and doesn’t talk about the stuff that most other channels do. Nothing to do with what you mentioned.
