“You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”, said once Jesus. Even the most discomforting truth would set you free if you just learned to accept it. This is what Alan Watts wonderfully demonstrates in one of his most disturbing, yet most revealing speeches.

  • I live willingly off grid, basically homeless just me my dog and my backpack.. I spend all my time doing as I please and living in the moment, I'm happy and rarely need anything more than some weed or good meal.. Every day the "donkeys chasing carrots" as Allen so lovingly calls them, they look at me as though something has to be wrong with me for choosing freedom instead of being another mindless sheep.. As though they feel bad for me, while I feel bad for them for wasting what little time we get... It falls apart faster than most people realize, if you make it to 100, and most people don't... 100 years is only just over 5000 weeks... Don't waste it, enjoy it and be present in life

    • Everyone is living their life and doing what they think is best for them. Many of them aren’t “donkeys” they just haven’t become aware that’s they are chasing carrots. But it’s our job to open their minds while also knowing that “Wisdom that a wise man attempts to impart always sounds like foolishness to someone else” that’s our obstacle in enlightening others around us.

    • I am on the same road and its been so hard to let go of the judgements and criticisms of my youth and even now, Im the odd one but I live in peace and joy and let few things still bother me. I have a vision of peace which I will follow till completion. Blessings on your beautiful path. We know!

The ones who cry about the government, the wef, the powers that be, the over breeders, the over eaters, the talentless and the attention deprived, the thief and the snitch, the self righteous and the dreamer, the fake girls and boys, the fsgs, the abusers, the quick to judge and the slow to act, the greedy and the peasant. • @Gary Francis Has nothing to do with not being able to hear and understand Alan Watts. I'm a lover of music. That said, I prefer to allow someone's else words & insight to provoke new thoughts/ideas & subsequently change ones perception than I do to allow music to dictate mood. I just place higher value on the substance of the material being presented. Especially when it comes to material like this. This would be much more powerful IF the music was more subtle.
