    • I saw nothing classless about RP's reaction. It was a gut reaction to a very, very badly timed 8 pin. It was Schlegel that was classless here. That's not to say Randy didn't have a couple of other "moments" in his career, but just a couple. Can't wait to see what this guy does with Pete.

  • For someone who likes to call out people in his approach he sure interrupts the telecast enough by talking loud. Would love for one of the bowlers to say "lotta class pal" sometime.

  • How about the flip side of the coin; 5 best moments on TV from Randy Pedersen? Him winning the 1987 PBA National Championship has to be #1; in fact he also won the next week at the Fair Lanes Open in Hyattsville, MD. He also won the Senior/Touring Pros doubles with Carmen Salvino. And of course his first and last career wins

  • Love him or hate him, Ernie Schlegel was always a character. He was an action bowler who was all about getting in your head to throw you off your game. For what it’s worth, he only has 7 PBA titles over a 47 year period and his antics have backfired on him more often than not.

  • Despite his telecast shortcomings and bad breaks, this man still made 34 TV shows and won 13 titles by the end of his career, making over a million dollars. If that's not a testament to his capability, knowledge, and love for the sport he excelled at, I don't know what is. Before his retirement he was among some of the best on tour, so I'd suggest to many people here to stop the judgmental and hateful commentary, judge the art and not the artist, and just accept the fact that bowling is hard for literally everybody. If it wasn't for those damned knee surgeries I think he'd still be out bowling PBA50 and PBA60 events today. He's a retired competitor who bowled on tour whilst living in the shadow of his past TV shortcomings and the hopelessness of his failed marriage with his wife Becky. He's a human being with real emotions, so I expect you all to treat him as such. I'm tired of seeing such animosity towards him, it's honestly sickening.

    • Granted. He's an arrogant and annoying anchor for the telecast and that is the source of my dislike for the man. He couldn't take mild ribbing from Norm Duke live as the presenter. His commentary is limited and not very insightful. There are better options and I think Randy should be allowed to get on with his life's work somewhere outside the broadcast table.

  • You have to do a top five for Marshall Holman, although I challenge you to find the one Marshall home and clip where he converts the 3-4-6-7 on TV, as the fans were all laughing at him when he left it, and then when he made it they were all booing him and he turned around and stuck his tongue out everybody in the crowd! I did find it once on youtube. If you can still find that clip, that would easily be your number one. It had to be during the 1981 season or later, as he was basically removed and not allowed to bowl all of 1980, so when he came out in 81, he had a lot to prove and he was really pissed off.

Also, The 2 Moments that stood out were in the 2nd Semi Final match of the Tournament of Champions in the 2004-2005 Season and the 1995 Touring Players Championship Title Match that both matches were decided by One Pin. Also, Keep up the good work on the Moments from both the moments from the Classic events from the Pba Tour.

  • In reality, the 8 pin was more about Schlegel's incredibly unsportsmanlike reaction. This was THE WORST break on tv given the totality of the circumstances. I really don't think you can call this a "bad moment" for RP. He threw a true, flush shot in the clutch. IN THE CLUTCH. Anyone else would be given the credit they deserve for that shot, not the memory of an old straight-ball hustler afterthought like Schlegel. Now, how many videos of PDW are you going to have to do to get HIS "Worst Moments"? That's the question. No one compares to Pete in the out-and-out asshole department. No one.
