Dude Nolan's intros are getting more and more fire every week. Best part of the podcast
He's got some skills
Yeah... this is my first "podcast" listen-- and it started so good.. I thought, oh damn, this is gonna be a find....... But then they came in and I realized, this is youtube and I just got my hopes up.... unsub time so early.
That was a great intro
Yeah and then his two A.D.D friends derailed it lol
That's a fact
"Like" if you want Donut Podcasts to be active in the comments. Week #2 of the movement!
we're here. what do we do now?
@@DonutPodcasts Right on! Just a fan and happy to hear from you guys. Keep up the good work on the best automotive podcast out here!

@@DonutPodcasts darn not sure, didn't think that far ahead.
Donut Podcasts - keep slinging that bike content 😉
Part X: The Isle of Man and the Dunlop Family
the electric bike documentary is called "Charge" lol he was close
I'm Manx, the three legged flag more or less represents (in addition to the three kings) "it will stand whichever way you throw it". My family takes it to heart in "whichever way we're thrown, we'll always land on our feet."
Really need to brush up on your manx history bud, that's not even the motto and the the triskellion has meaning before it. Yet another mind tainted by the English
@@fuckin_fentoon6128 What....? Just because I didn't go into detail doesn't mean I don't acknowledge it's heritage as a Celtic or Norse symbol, used by MANY cultures. Sure the sun, power, and life in a deeper callback. I take pride in my Manx and Scandinavian heritage. No need to be hypercritical, you come off as an elitist and for the sake of civility I chose to err on the side of inadvertence.
@@suprastevio2264 Right? What a douchenozzle.
@@tylerdurden5694 Yeah! There's always one I suppose. I don't understand the mentality of people like that 😑.
I really like that, I would like to adopt that belief.
Love that you’re doing a past gas on the tt my grandfather raced at the tt in late 40s and early 50s keep up the good work from Australia 🇦🇺
Austraaaaaaaaaaaaaaalia
These guys are disgracing your grandfather's (no doubt admirable) legacy. Don't praise them--it only encourages them.
@@1TruePatriot what?
@@1TruePatriotin what way tf
I love it when you give a little spice to the two-wheel gang. 🌹
Can't forget the Dunlops in part 2.
Hello from the Isle of Man 👋 🇮🇲 The Sicilian flag actually predates our flag I believe
Finally more bike content
the scene in "im gonna get you sucka" with the goldfish in the shoes is one of the funniest things ive ever seen in my life
Every podcast James and Nolan get more and more volatile towards one and othher, lads, be cool, you are awesome dudes
Relationships between father's and their sons can certainly be volatile
I want to see them fight in a cage match. Two men enter, one man leaves.
Omg!!! I’m from the island and just recently discovered your stuff and have binged watched 90% of the videos can’t believe I’m only seeing the one about our home now! The mountain road is awesome and there’s plenty of other no speed limit roads and great views
in the newest d-list, another car that was missing a manual gearbox was the mercedes mclaren slr
I'm pretty sure the second last one said "every Mercedes ever" soooo...
You my sir are correctb
Hi
I love how joe wasn’t meant to be on the podcast but is now a much needed part of these series
This race is so hardcore
I was there on IOM last year... you have to go!!! Rented a bike, rode the mountain. It’s heaven 🇮🇲🏁
I got chills during that intro.
In 1986 Gene McDonnell lost his life in what has been described as "the most horrific accident ever witnessed at the TT", when a horse was startled by a helicopter, jumped into the road and collided with McDonnell. Both horse and rider were killed instantly.I remember listening to the race at the time and how by coincidence the commentary was live at the very moment from Ballaugh Bridge the commentator just said,"oh my godfathers."I may misremember but I think the horse may have been startled after an accident involving one of Gene's friend but I'm not sure.So much happiness, sadness, glory and tragedy in one event.
Fun fact, the Audi TT is named after the Tourist Trophy. Unfortunately, the car itself is being discontinued after this year.
Nooooo not the Audi tt
Damn... those TTRS are KILLERS on the track. Things can pull some crazy corner Gs
Such a demanding race and all the lives it has taken and just how insane it is you would think that a car named after it or the TT part would be a little bit less feminine perhaps? I though the TT in audi TT stood for twinkle toes, but hey you learn somthing new everyday right!! LoL The R8-TT would have been a much better choice i think. Not the R8's little sister the audi TT!!
Thank you guys so much for making these podcasts!!! Simply love listening to them!!!
They’re off topic about 70 percent of the time
That’s the best part
Honestly who cares if they are off topic
@@Wolf813921 People that tuned in to hear about ENGINES, HORESPOWER, RIDING TECHNIQUE, TORQUE, RPM, how many speeds the bikes have (hint: in the '60's, some of the IOM 50cc class--yes, moped-displacement--had up to 20 SPEED TRANSMISSIONS and revved up to about 20,000 RPM!) These self-absorbed children don't even KNOW how to use those terms in a sentence--or the WOULD have. There IS no "topic"--unless CLICKBAIT now counts as a "topic." And if you find their "jokes" humorous? Then I've determined why you don't get dates--at least, with girls of legal age.
@@1TruePatriot Holy shit. I don't know if you're sarcastic or what, but this is ENTERTAINMENT. If you want to prepare urself for your final automotive engineer exam, you should consider reading a book.
your mom
You guys should DEFINITELY make an episode of Up To Speed on the Isle of Man
Yo milk mans got a race wheel, noice lol
I f$@kin loves these guys and the complete Doughnut Media machine!
You guys make my work days better foreal thank you 🙏🏽
I am a design engineer and I listen to the podcast during work.
I often use the Isle of Man flag emoji as a substitute for the Sicilian flag . We gotta make a petition to get a Trinacria emoji 🇮🇲🇮🇹💪
got to wiping before james' and joe's introduction. keep up the good work fellas
It is so nice to see people outside of us motorcycle riders fall in love with the Isle of Man. Some pubs on the Isle, make like 80% of their income, in that 2 week period. Though Ago and Hailwood were past kings, the Dunlop dynasty will live long and proud. 4 family members have raced and won the TT
Love that Staind rendition boys!! Gotta be my favourite Staind track. Goes off at Karaoke 😎😎😎
The guys that run them races must have HUGE balls of steel
Dude this podcast is so dam good I literally binged every episode in one week at work. You guys need to step it up to two episodes a week to keep me at bay lol. Keep it up boys
You guys should do one on the pikes peak international hill climb that would be cool
Enter James in his golf
Can't wait until next week. My favorite podcast.
Love this! Wondering have you goes dug into the Targa Florio and/or Mille Miglia? Frigging nuts!
Waited for this for a long time. Nice!
Hard to caption the intensity of the TT, its a must watch, highlights etc. For part 2 you need to touch on Joey Dunlop who is a TT legend.
It's like Monaco, classic but would be denied if it would be requested as a new track today
Why is this podcast so fire
nolan, "tries to get podcast started in a productive direction", James, Joe, "Hold our beers"
i love the fucking sim wheel on his desk sneaking its way into frame
With Past Gas mingling with "deadliest sport", I half-expected, nay, FEARED an ominous moment of silence.
That intro was incredible
This format is sick
The TT is definitely the the biggest race in motorsports because it is the greatest test of rider skill there will ever be. And on the subject, Guy Martin is the man. I have been watching all the BBC shows with him I can find lately. Great dude, very entertaining, and he has probably set more speed world records on more types of vehicle than probably any man ever will. I guess that is his thing, setting speed world records in every type of wheeled vehicle ever made. He even set a speed record in a tractor! Guy is a legend!
FINALLY MY FAVORITE SHOW DISCUSSING MY FAVORITE MOTOSPORT🔥🔥🔥
"I got tiny little balls but they hang reeeal low" 🤣
The Wayans brothers tangent was surprisingly welcome lol. Great job all around!
Really good to see pictures of example bikes etc edited in. Great feature that saves us from pausing the video to open google when something is interesting :D
Great intro! Great topic
It’s pronounced Jacque A Mo🤦♂️. As a road racer I am pumped you guys are talking bikes. Y’all should do Macau GP next which is just as dangerous.
Got to admit I was skeptical about the past gas podcast but I got to say you guys to a very good job very informative
Love the TT ❤️ I’d like to ride the route one day.
In the next episode you should mention how motogp riders protested against having this race in their calendar and got it removed
That was the most beautiful intro I’ve heard on a KZhead video...maybe ever.
Honestly. Some of your topics aren’t initially interesting to me but I’m always pleased by the end. However the dynamic of you three. The jokes. The info… always delivers and it’s why I watch 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Indy 500 has always billed itself as "the greatest spectacle in racing" but I've always known better. The TT is without a doubt the greatest spectacle. Such an amazing race. And so unbelievably dangerous.
Joe is thinking of the Husky Svartpilen. Same engine used in the KTM 390. Very cool looking bike. Love the content.
I love this podcast 🙌 😍
The isle of man tt onboards are absolutey insane to any viewer but it gets even more intense if you ride yourself. I mean, if i lean into a corner at 100mph on my gsx i feel like this is the absolute outer limit of what i feel comfortable doing and then these dudes go full lean at 184mph round a blind corner with their body hanging over the sidewalk and their head scraping past a light pole by an inch. This riding is so far out there, i can absolutely not imagine how it must feel.
James that's so cool that your first comedy poster was Tom of Finland
James, if you wanna say Australia in an Aussie accent you gotta say ‘Straya
Quite enjoyed that. I'm an Isle of Man resident and have a few boring things to correct/mention -Manx cats are across the world, they are quite good long tail catchers (locals don't say r-a-t) and where used on boats -Manx cats are mainly two types, Stumpy's & Rumpys. -Named corners aren't just named after accidents, it can be after all time greats ie McGuiness , Molenyux , Joey's or my personal favourite Harolds which was named after a great local who let fans view from his fields. -theres a documentary called '3 wheelin' about sidecars at the TT. There is also TT closer to the edge which is worth a watch -The 250 deaths, that includes Manx Grand Prixs which is a seperate event on the same course but for amateur riders. Also the grid is 4x times the size of the grid at F1/MotoGP rounds and they currently have 6 solo races doing a minimum of 4 laps.
Could you PLEASE do an episode of up to speed on Mv Agusta?! Great podcast!👍
Nolan has the steering wheel to let you know "Im the one driving the podcast" lol
22:19 Nolan is clearly unimpressed at their lack of concentration on the subject matter...
@@juliorobinson3879 The other two are ADD hahaha
BeeGees are from Redcliffe in Queensland Australia! And it’s called a Ute James! You got tray backs and style backs! 😄 love your pod casts and tube shows!
They where born on the Isle of Man
We 100% need a "FIRE DUP" shirt!
Ayee donut discovered the TT!! Do another one on the legendary Dunlop fam!
Guy Martin can attest to the dangers of the Isle of Mann TT. Great dude!
lets get some gameplay with Nolan
The lighting in nolans hallway makes it look like his door is opening
I was a member of the pit crew for John Donnan in 1999. Jeez, I'm old....
I need a cover album of James and Joe doing stained and corn songs were really any '90s hits LOL that is the best shit in the world
You need to do one on the Dunlop family, amazing but tragic story which still continues
Your wish has been granted
I love the podcast !
I just love Joe and I’m glad he’s here.
Would really love you guys to make an Episode on the Furai
Love it. More motorcycle content.
Can u do an episode or an up to speed on top gear?
I so hope they do
Oh my god.. I’m so happy that they covered this.
Too bad they didn't "cover" jackshit. Nolan STOLE and READ someone ELSE'S article, WITHOUT ATTRIBUTION. (Pro-tip: look up "attribution" in the dictionary, and you'll understand why this is illegal, and shows that these three assclowns are WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE of their alleged "subject matter."
nolan nailed that intro and also the followers are at 69.5K which we all know is very nice
i don't comment much but nolan embrace the comedy sir i enjoy it lol but i also respect your drive for knowledge and putting on a good podcast
isle of man also still speaks a form of gaelic.... i think. That’s badass. May they preserve that for ever... -Mexican Nahuatl speaker
The chills are real in these intros
So glad y'all did one on iomtt
Nolan's Deftones love makes me happy.
Another awesome episode but I have to ask, when will we get a gas chrisis episode?
nolans tht honor student kid in the group project who does all the work and just wants to get thsi over with and james and joe are the col kids from the back of the class just having a vibe lol
Yep. Beavis and Butthead
Cool SG Axe. Cool Grados.
The YT video of the Subaru race car going around the track is the fucking best driving video ever.
Hi guys. You may want to look up Guy Martin - a popular guy in the UK, he is an automotive unit and has challenged for a lot of speed records in different vehicles (including a Tractor). Not bad for a guys who grew up as a lorry mechanic. An interesting chap, check him out.
Watch TT3D documentary. Its a must watch. What these riders do is simply mindblowing.
My grandad raced sidecars with his brother, my uncle Dudley. They built the whole sidecar outfit themselves out of a Mini chassis and a B.S.A engine, the weirdest thing is that my grandad decided to make it front wheel drive as he believed he could get more grip as he's leaning over the front wheel. The sidecar is apparently in a museum in Birmingham.
since you mention it. podcast on bruce meyers and the meyers manx?
That Staind interlude tho 😂😂😂
I knew about Isle of Man, TT, and the sidecar racing from watch the anime Two Car.
biggups to Kenzo....thats a journey, respect on his name
James! You said you were getting another hat. I love all your hats. Do they come from super secret amazing hat place only you know about?
Joe is snappin😂🤘🏻🤘🏻
