  • I was seriously considering a budgie as a pet until I heard ALL these noises lol. They’re still ABSOLUTELY adorable but I have two babies, 5 turtles, 19 fish, and two chickens. My noise limit has reached max capacity 💀

  • My budgie lost his cage mate a few months ago, they’d never been separated so I’d never heard the “call” chirp before but that’s all he did for the week after his buddy passed and it was heartbreaking hearing him call for him. He’s doing much better now, just as loud only this time with happy chirps and squawks. Amazing how one budgie alone can still sound like a pet store

    • Every time my parakeet loses his mate (my one Parakeet born in 2017 is a widower times 3 now) I have to immediately get a replacement because I can’t stand the calling he does - the frantic calling for his friend 😩😫 I’m like hang on little buddy I’ll get you a new friend or baby bird to focus on😭😭 🏃‍♀️ 💨

  • My parakeet named pistachio died 4 dags ago... they said he was either sick or dehydrated. We only had him for a few months since my mom found him flying by her job. Even though we had him for a short amount of time, I know he was a very happy bird and I miss him everyday. I am just glad he is in a better place, flying till his heart's content!

  • we have a family budgie but he’s mostly mine since he lived in my room for 2 years, i feed him & trained him. he doesn’t bite and is never angry or mean. but he’s very quiet when i’m not home, and when i walk in the door or he hears my voice he starts making that happy squaking noise. then when i’m in the kitchen across from him he talks quietly and makes those little happy chirping noises. i dont know just think it’s cute hehee

  • Oh my God. I cant express how relieved I feel now. Im hell scared of birds coz they bit me once when I was a child.last year I brought home my grandma's budgies coz she couldn't take good care of them due age related health issues. Now these two lovelies make different noise all day. I was thinking may be I am not taking good care of them but I just realised some of the noises are happy noises ❤️

  • I was able to figure out almost all of them, but I wasn’t sure about the loud squeaking sound. I looked up almost all videos regarding budgies sound and their meaning, but nothing covers it, until I found this video. Thank you. I wasn’t sure why my budgie would squeak so loud all of sudden and would go on for good 10 minutes. But now I know why, I can prevent that in the future, thanks to your video!

  • When you forget to give them attention. They do this calling sound and it’s so damn annoying. My budgies will keep doing that until I go near them and spend some time with them 😂

  • The budgie at my work, Gus lives in the daycare room and a phone near by. When hes happy on my finger he makes a ringing sound and something that sounds like R2D2 screaming. lol

  • one of my birds, lychee, makes the angry noise when i try to take her out and the other one, boba, flies up to my shoulder and grinds his beak. they also call to each other rly loud if they can’t see each other for like a second

  • I usually don't comment but I feel like I have to say this! I was watching this video right beside my budgies and when he heard all the sound he starting getting really happy and chirping along:) I'm not sure if this will make him sad or depressed (he is my only budgie my other one died two years ago) or if it will make him happy, please help!

    • It’s been 11 months, so you probably won’t see this but other people say playing their lonely budgies sounds makes them happier, and the start chirping too.
