If MLB accepts human error as part of the game then you are going to get missed calls like that. You don’t see humans at the end of a pool in the Olympic Games pointing out who wins the race. The umpires we have are the best in the world. If you want humans to make impossible calls, then you are going to get bad calls.

@@chiwawa130 but some of the calls are out of this world. (Over exaggerating) let's say you are 50ft from 1st base but they say there safe, but they clearly stepped on the bag. Also some may get a little $$$ under the table. But Dez Bryant got robbed.

Rules should be changed that the video replays have final call NO MATTER WHAT. An old man's eyes are NOT better than HD cameras.
I would agree on some terms but hockey. (It's not tiny but it's not as big as a football) it's going like 80.0 mph at you. But when it gets to the point where you reviewed like 5 Times (I thinked happened once) that's enough spent over an hour reviewing one play that, let's say didn't really matter. So either no goal or goal.
I agree. Officiating is actually hard. Make it easier for them
They did change if your talking about Dez
I agree. Why not check video. Its about getting it right. Why is it Vegas?
But then the game would be super slow because they'd spend half the time reviewing it.
The second one with how the ref screwed the perfect game..... I still feel like they should count that as a perfect game.
Jim Joyce actually apologized later on when he saw the footage of the game. He genuinely feels terrible for blowing that pitcher's perfect game. I still don't understand why Joyce decided to lean the other way on what was a brutally easy call. He should've just called him out even if it was a judgment call.
@@sleepy4325 I mean, the pitcher got a more impressive game, 28 straight outs! Also, I believe I saw somewhere that the pitcher has asked the MLB to recognize it as a perfect game

As a neutral fan, that Dez call still makes no sense. Clearly a catch, his hand was wrapping it easily. Should’ve been a catch-fumble recovered for a TD.
Yeah. I never saw it that way. Because he does lose control, but he caught it and had control. Incomplete is definitely not how you describe that
He never lost control.. he had it the whole process..
As a giants fan, the cowboys got ROBBED FOR THEIR SOULS
He still kept the ball, just because the ball slipped a bit should mean absolutely nothing. Garbage call
He had 2 feet down and the ball crossed before he lost possesion (he had full possesion before I think) or maybe he has to have 2 feet down and survive the ground
Michael Bishop's Hail Mary on the final play of regulation during the 1998 Big 12 CCG that was completed 2 yards shy of the end zone would be a perfect fit for this video. Would've sent Kansas State to play for their first national title, a game they would've had a great chance of winning.

Didn’t his first completion in the nfl go for a Hail Mary td or was that Rohan Davey
Still crazy to me how I watched both of dez Bryant infamous contested catches live Two of the more unfortunate moments of the decade for the cowboys

16:48 "I never liked him anyways" announcer is cold blooded 🤣
Why are so many things in sports ‘non reviewable’ wouldn’t it just be more fair to allow any questionable calls to controversial calls just be reviewable. Doesn’t make sense to me as I mainly watch rugby and everything is checked multiple times if there is any doubt in the play
This would make sense... probably why its not done.
The reasoning behind it is that it would take up too much time. Atleast that's how it is for the NBA.

I argued that the day it happened. Easy fix. It was the last out of the game. If it had been earlier in the game, even one out earlier, then okay, nothing can be done. But this was last out. And yes, the commissioner totally had the power to do that.
I like how the announcers say "you can't end the game that way" when they just watched it happen.
they meant that its a shame not that its against the rules
Also, the crazier thing about the Raiders-Chiefs play is that the next play had defensive holding at 0:00, so extra play...and then the NEXT play had defensive holding...and then the NEXT play had to be reviewed to make sure the Raiders scored a TD...
I can't believe how some sports have an overclock last-action explicitly to avoid the absurd last-second situations, and others still cling to that old timer rule despite always creating only problems and never solutions.
I always wondered about the Will Middlebrooks play, it seems like he really couldnt move out of the way on time, it wasnt physically possible, however the lifting of his two back feet seemed almost on purpose. In any case the series went to the good guys.

That Bryant catch vs Green Bay was a complete catch…was abt to lose the ball out of the hand but it’s still in the hand
20:04 Raiders still won that game after a barrage of penalties against the chiefs. Oh and Crabtree caught the pass that won to game for them (not shown here)
