Making Rotary Welding Table

2020 ж. 26 Қаз.

The rotary table is powered by an electric motor from the mobility scooter, the tilt of the table is driven by the wiper motor from the Audi A8 B4. I powered the engines with a 24v / 12v 16.7A two channel power supply, I used a 40A voltage regulator to set the rotation speed of the table top. The table top has a diameter of 800 mm and a thickness of 8 mm, thanks to which the table's capabilities are very large, the table can be used as a welding positioner, as an assembly table or a plasma cutting table, Repair work can be done on the table, and thanks to the electrically adjustable table top, the work is less strenuous.

  • Amigo, I don't know what kind of Genius you are to work metal, but let me tell you that you are one of the best and how we deserve in our Mexican land. You are !!UN CHINGON AMIGO!!

  • Having seen your work in the past, I knew it would be a well constructed and useful tool. But, when you added the tilt feature, it went over the top! Well done Sir!

  • When u marked out that SQ piece of steel plate and cleaned it then drilled the holes and cut those perfect slots and rounded the table off by hand with the grinder I could only say WOW!!! Oh my GOD this guy is phenomenal.. Ur builds are so inspiring my friend.. As I'm typing these words I'm actually smiling to myself. U have built some of the best things I've ever seen in videos about metalwork.. I wonder have u ever thought about building a full on milling machine CNC style of even ur own Lathe?? I'm certain it would be another great build from ur good self my friend.. I would love to be learning from a teacher like u if u were teaching this art.. It's a pleasure to watch ur videos pal.. Keep up the great work .. I'm spreading the word as often as I can too. 4.2mil views on this video and I'm only catching it today. That tells u how new to this I really am bro.. LOL.. Salute from Dublin, IRE..

  • Wow, this is truly a Man sized rotary table. Put a couple of kids on top and spin them till they were sick! Too much fun. I have one constructive criticism. Instead of square headed cap screws, try black round headed cap screws. They won’t stand out as much but do exactly the same job. Brilliant work overall and so well done. Cheers.

  • You never cease to amaze and inspire and entertain. I only wish you would speak to us as you create. Thank you again for sharing your brilliance! At about 14:30 I realized you were making the work table. I thought, “that might be thick enough if it were 10-12 inches (25-30 cm) or so. But 2 ft? No way.” Then you very creatively used the corners to make buttresses. I thought, “way.”

    • Sorry you are wrong, the video is edited . No real fabricator will rely on those mag squares for a start. No showing of plans & drawings either , try to build something like this out of your head , not impossible but very improbable.

      @poontang7546@poontang75463 жыл бұрын
    • @@poontang7546 Poon Tang you are wrong most fabricators use and verify the mag squares to start with. The editing was done well to reduce the length of time it took to buy and load and unload the metal from the truck and removing the gear motors from the vehicles and crimping the lugs on the ground straps. He did show you how he drilled and painted. I am favorably impressed with his editing skills as well as his engineering skills.

You can order disks from steel supplier and cut out the centers cheaper than you can order rings. I drilled a centering hole and piercing hole and used oxy/propane to cut. I would buy a dewar of liquid oxygen that cut all I could before it off gassed.

  • I am building a flight simulator cockpit with dual controls. Your device is exactly what I want to build for a " motion platform". I have done all the electronics with Arduino & home made panels, screens etc. I need the platform to be able s To support and rotate, tilt forwards & backwards, Right and left, using jack screws as you have. The only difference is that with 2 people ridding it + the weight of the cockpit made of wood & plastic I estimate the device should be able to hold 300kg in all directions & positions . Obviously the base would have to be much wider, 4m x 4m. The arrangement of the components is the same. Just an FYI there are enough crazy people like me that would love to have access to something like you show! Please send me a reply & suggestions. I live in Arizona USA, where the temperature outside is 52oC!
