Best Pilots in the World Storm Ciara Crosswind landings and Takeoffs and Go-around Extreme Weather

All aircraft landed and took off safely ! These pilots are well trained and airplanes are well build.
Watch out for Embraer E190 Go-around at Birmingham EGBB Airport during Storm Ciara . The pilots received windshear warning at minimums and decided to abort the landing. The wind was 210°↑ 25 gusty up to 39 knots.
Also in this footage Emirates Airbus A380 crosswind landing with an impressive reverse thrust , Boeing 787 takeoff during bad weather conditions and many more.
At one point I had to stop filming , it was too windy ! Britain is bracing for more bad weather this weekend, with forecasters warning that Storm Dennis could hit the UK. Met Office meteorologists have confirmed that there will be strong gusts across the UK, with a yellow weather warning in place on Saturday
I hope you will enjoy watching this 4K video on the Big screen TV !

    • It looked smooth still, barely struggled. It's like there's a scale going from wobbling all over the place as if you've had 12 jaegerbombs, to a standard 5 pints and an uneven pavement, way down to a slight shiver. This amazing pilot made it look like the plane had a small tremble but soon recovered. What a piece of machinery an A380 must be to operate.

    • @Mr McGregor Most pilots prefer manual landings in wind, if visibility is okay, even on the biggest planes, because they then have feedback, and then actually flying and not just looking at instruments. Also way safer, since cat. 3 autolands still cannot take into consideration, if the plane can actually stay on the runway after landing. So a goaround post touchdown might be necessary, to avoid running a 200mio. € plane with 500 souls onbord of the runway.

The A380 from Dubai demonstrates that very nicely. It's an extremely difficult maneuver and requires a lot of experience and training. One can only admire the skill and craftsmanship the pilots show here.

    • The entire aircraft is basically designed to allow the wings to bend in turbulence without compromising any structural integrity. Airplane wings are made out of aluminum - although not the same aluminium in cans and tin foil. It’s aerospace grade stuff, an alloy with strength comparable to steel. For example, during turbulence, the wings may appear to shake outside the window. In a particularly turbulent storm, some may imagine that the wings bend so much, they could snap off. However that scenario is almost impossible

      @naftez299@naftez2994 жыл бұрын
    • @@naftez299 Depends on how you define turbulence. The standards high altitude stuff that shakes you around a bit to pretty severely not but stuff like wake turbulence (left behind other, especially large planes) has in many cases. If you try to take off right after a 747 in a small plane the turbulence can throw you out of the air. There was that famous crash where a fairly large airliner got too close and hit wake turbulence. The first officer overcompensated with the rudder (as instructed by his airline) and it tore the entire vertical stabilizer right off. Plane's of course uncontrollable without one. Winds can contribute to how far behind an aircraft wake turbulence can still be felt. Certain weather conditions can make them linger far longer than normally. These days procedures have been updated but a small enough plane will get thrown around no matter what you do. Pretty often flipped over. And that's not a good place to be.

Do you clap when the construction worker builds a foundation, or an electrician fixes a broken powerline without getting electrocuted? Nope. So the pilot is just doing exactly what he was trained and supposed to do. There is no alternative option for the pilot, therefore, we don't clap at mundane repetitive jobs such as landing an aircraft.

  • In 1960, flew to The Azores Islands. 2-300 miles from Lajes Field which is 800 miles off the coast of Portugal. We were in a C-121 Constellation, a massive pop up storm in the Atlantic caught us. Our pilot rode a bucking bronco of a wind, with our Connie working with him and running rich, that was crazy to watch from my window seat just behind the wing. It was four hours of sequential "this may be my last breath' type of terror. Five landing attempts, aborted. Storm became worse. Pilot took us to the top edge of the storm and flew to stay airborne, I'm pretty sure disregarding any destination, to just ride the wind . I'm in the middle of writing the book and am watching videos to see how to describe and convey the new ways I know about how stomachs can flip and flop and ten other moves. I'd say these pilots did great in this video. The storms are about 2/3 rd's of the one that surprised the weather guys.
