I was born and raised here, and my whole life everyone and myself included, always told people that our water was too warm for Great White 🦈 sharks!? Well I am man enough to say when I am wrong….and “I’m definitely wrong!” Because as you can see…..They are HERE! WOW, what a fish and a catch! Great job! Although I don’t think I would’ve gotten in the water with it, and gotten so close to his mouth 😉😉Great Job!

  • Amazing animal and amazing catch guys. You also treated the shark with respect and just brought the shark in and quickly removed the hook and let the shark go, no unnecessary suffocating the shark by having it for a long time in shallow water. • @CoastalWorldwide1 Sorry, but this is animal cruelty. You depleated vital energy reserves that an endangered animal had left and stressed it just for views and then sent it back into the open. Catch and release is animal cruelty and that's not my opinion, it's a fact (and yes, sometimes a catch isn't legal or not edible and so on. In this case releasing it is the right option. But most catch and release fishing is done purely to satiate ones own ego or get a bunch of views). A big youtube Channel has a lot of influence and with great power comes great responsibility. People will think that this is cool and then they will try it themselves, thus harming more of our oceans protectors... Please don't take this the wrong way, your channel is entertaining and you seem to be really good people, but this is a point I had to adress, because especially sharks are unfortunatly very misunderstood creatures.

      @kaviyaneskandari2316@kaviyaneskandari23162 ай бұрын
    • @@kaviyaneskandari2316 They have high end equipment they bring those fish in as fast as possible a big ass shark is not gonna lose all of its energy in a couple of minutes they just unhooked it fast and released it back. Also if I remember the video shark wasn't even what they were going for so like what you wanted them to do otherwise than pulling the shark in and just unhook it and put it back. Animal cruelty would be having weak equipment and fishing purposely for big sharks or any other fish and keeping it on the line for hours just slowly exhausting it. But they did everything in their power to do no harm to that shark. Just like you're not gonna die when running for like 5 minutes to catch a bus that shark is not gonna die from being on the line for a couple minutes.

  • My sincerest congratulations. I did this back in the late 70's, all through the 80's and early 90's. Twice we hooked into a fish that required us to "tie in" to another reel to keep from getting spooled off the beach. Both fish broke off after several hours. Now there are regular pings off the Jacksonville beaches area from tagged Great Whites and I'm convinced that this is what we had on those two times. 80lb mono and Penn Senator black beauty's were the reels of choice back then. Again, awesome catch and release.

  • im totally ignorant to this. im truly asking to understand: is the point to see the fish/get it as close to land as possible? i just dont understand the actual point/when you know "we've done what we came to do", when the intention is to release at the end. is this like porn (you know it when you see it), ie you just know when you have "caught" the fish, and its time to release? partly im trying to understand why he was so devastated when (you thought) the hook came out, yet so incredibly happy when the fish was voluntarily released only 10s of yards closer to shore?

    @JeanSchlemaan@JeanSchlemaan3 ай бұрын
    • That’s a great question. Really at that point just wanting to be able to see the fish in person. We can’t control what takes the bait but seeing a white shark and being able to remove our gear from it is important for the shark and personal life experience

    • Big hammerheads generally don't survive long battles and that's a pity. Years ago, one was caught in Texas and the guy walked it for an hour and a half before it could swim off. Who knows if it survived? There is/was a video here of Aussies that caught a big hammerhead off of Brisbane and you could tell it was dead when they released it. @@CoastalWorldwide1

    • @@CoastalWorldwide1Sorry, but this is animal cruelty.

White Sharks are detrimental to the health of our oceans and are a protected species therefore people shouldn't be allowed to fish for these magnificent fish
