Is nobody gonna appreciate how he put the beta fish into a proper home with a proper sized tank that isn’t round. The way he not only treats his cats with respect but his plants and fish makes me feel better about the world.
As a Betta fish owner who did their research and bought theirs a 10 gallon tank I am so happy Jun did it the right way. They have so much personality and are actually very adventurous if you give them the space to do so.
SnowClover I know! It really saddens me when they’re mistreated and people just assume their life span is naturally short. Same with goldfish. Idk about other countries but America really needs to regulate animal products and have certain requirements met to have certain pets. But I’m glad you did your research and your beta(s) sound very happy

It's just that most people these days have the attention span of the fish inside the tank..... That's putting it lightly, some people demand instant gratification or they're put off. I'll see something interesting and it'll be like 30 seconds to a minute and you got people shortening that. It'll be for artwork, watching work is nice and so is the final but people these days only accept instant gratification.

A couple of our cats years back were like Haku, one of them would go fishing with my dad and the other one i would tag along with me on walks near the river without a leash, it's so weird but cool at the same time.
I came for the aquascaping, but I think what I love even more is watching the amazing relationship Jun has with his cats.

I adore Thunder and his shrimp roommates. he's so beautiful and shiny - not to mention, a lot of people are misinformed and put betta fish in tanks way too small for them, but Thunder's apartment is nice and roomy
The cats have a new hobby now: watching that fish and trying to catch it.
Linzhi Xiao the pants use the fish poop as fertilizer and the shrimp will clean up any leftover food. Planted tanks are actually a lot easier to maintain once the plants have settled in!
@@ohrats731 yes! I have had fish tanks for years and years, I always have many living plants, they help oxygenate the water and the fish like to munch on them sometimes, they grow really well as they have much fertiliser and life

As long as the fertilized water circulates (which it does, and effectively since Jun used the filter's pump to bring the fertilized water to the plants up top) the tank itself requires minimal cleaning from the amano and the droppings. Of course, we're sure that Jun will do a stellar job at keeping that tank clean as it can get. Thunder is really fortunate to have that roomy space all to himself. (Well, with a few butlers to clean up after him.)

As a fish keeping hobbyist I really appreciate that you created a nice spacious and planted tank for your betta. I see a lot of people who will just stick a fish in a bottle or bowl and not actually take the time and resources to care for them properly. Seeing someone put this much effort into giving their fish a nice home is refreshing. Many people forget that fish are living things and that they deserve as much care as a dog or cat. P.S. for those of you out there who want to get a betta, bowls and vases are out of the question as with anything that isn't actually a tank. They need a minimum 5 gallon (i recommend 10 - 20 gallon)with heater and good filtration. Most males are a hit or miss with tank mates as they are aggressive. Before getting any fish or pet gor that matter Please! Please! Do a lot of research. Watching a youtube video isn't enough. Read as many care guides and articles as well as videos from reputable sources. All animals in our care deserve to be loved and not neglected. 🐠🐢🐶🐱🐦

Yes! I see many animals like Birds, reptiles and amphibians being ill treated. I focused on fish because that is what i am specialize in and know the most about. Neglecting the proper care for any pet is the worst thing you can do to them.

As an aquarist and professional fish breeder, this is a video well done, Jun. You've done an amazing job with the setup and picked the correct inhabitants. It appears you've done a great deal of research and that is seriously commendable. Amazing work with the scape, it's beautiful! Some notes for anyone interested in recreating this: please do the appropriate research. Fish tanks, ESPECIALLY CO2 systems, are incredibly expensive. It requires sufficient research and knowledge, as well as a large budget to do this. I really think more people should get into fish, as they are immensely rewarding and some of the best pets a person can have. I just wanted to throw some disclaimers in with my two cents to make sure if anyone wants to recreate this, they follow the necessary steps to be as ethical to our little aquatic friends as possible. Beautiful work, Jun. I'm amazed to see such a well constructed tank done near perfect. Thank you very much for spreading fish keeping to the more mainstream!!!!!! :)
I saw the video and was so worried about whether he'd done the research to set it up properly, compared to some other youtubers' tanks I've seen.
I knew from the start that he would do proper research and do it well, because all his videos are always so high-quality
