  • If someone sells alcohol or cigarettes to someone underage, it doesn’t matter if they lied about their age or not. The person selling those things are responsible for making sure that the person is not underage and they are the ones that will be in trouble. So trying to say “oh but they lied about their age, it’s not James’ fault” doesn’t hold up because obviously if he’s going for younger guys then he had to be aware that the people he’s messaging might be underage especially because he’s only 21 or smth. So it’s his job to make sure they’re telling the truth about their age, especially when he knows the consequences for doing stuff exactly like what he did.

    @randomuser7264@randomuser72643 жыл бұрын
    • You make a great point. Bar tenders/restaurants can be fined or worse for serving alcohol to minors, accidentally or not. The repercussions for this situation ought to be just as severe. • I agree. I’d also add that huge age gaps are red flags even later in life... I got married at 24 to someone 20 years older than me. I know I should’ve known better at 24 but love blinds us all. The power dynamic was always way off. For years, I felt like my opinions didn’t matter. It used to be normal for women to marry older men so it’s not really talked about.. but the odds of that being an equal partnership are pretty slim in my opinion/experience.
