The NEW Dark Aether Rift requires an easter egg to unlock, and it can be daunting to do solo, that's why I'm going to walk you through how to complete the new Story Mission, collect all 4 items and upgrade them and finally unlock the New Dark Aether Portal! Then we take our first trip in the Dark Aether and complete all of the contracts!

What's weird for me is the ammo caches in the final boss area, don't work for me. It's incredibly odd. I see guys using the caches in games, but for some reason they don't work for me.
It almost felt like a reassurance from the developers like, "we're still here... we can still surprise you". Made me so happy. Still does :D
Hey guys I just heard something odd I've never seen in 12 days if mwz. In t2 in a store and heard music. Followed it until it got loud and noticed it was moving while I was still. I followed it outside into the middle of the street. It was a song with lyrics and it faded away but I could not follow it for it to get louder and then it was gone forever. I was near the circle street thing by the radio tower on the south middle portion of T2. I'd really like to know what that was.
Bit of advice for the Scorcher users. When you’re in the building where the HVT contract is in and you have a Scorcher, whatever you do… *DO NOT* superjump through the glass on the roof. The glass will insta down you upon impact and you’ll immediately die when you fall down since you’re flying so high. I haven’t experienced this but I know someone who learned this the hard way.

That Instant Die pissed me right off in many areas . Get double tapped just before blast off and bam fly into the sky on last stand only to hit the ground and not be able to be revived !

Everything about the set up for the Rift is tuned differently for solo players and squads. All the seals when done solo are 10 kills or less, the fog one its about 10 per ammo type solo. The Mirror only spawns 1 zombie needing 1 ammo type, if you are a duo 2 spawn, trio 3 spawn. And the boxing zombie spawns by itself as a solo but as a squad multiple zombies spawn in making it a little more awkward. The target seems to be the same. None of it is really difficult but its much faster to do if you are just solo

Tip for all who didn't know. If you just equip 1 kashmir and stow the rest when you spawn in the dark aether the game will give you 2 so 1 free.
I did this mission three times, how comes when you guys upload these videos it seems so relaxed and walk through but when I’m in game it’s way more hectic and hard. What settings are u playing on bro?

You can use the under barrel flamer thrower to really destroy boss mobs or zombies in general. I'm anticipating a nerf as early as tomorrow, Monday.

When you do any act story mission it drops you as well. I was at 100 and dropped back to 50 after helping a friend do Shepard.

My portals are all weird. The new one only prompts me to open if I stand just right and the old one is invisible but I can still put a sigil in it. Love it!
People need to quit bitching about the new schematics not being all guaranteed in a single run. It's a good thing they aren't. It helps the replay value.

dont forget that you will lose containment levels when you go inside there.i lose 20-50levels per game ,win or lose dosent matter at all ,did 3 elder runs everytime lose even more strikes.

I agree, I gave up, everyone in the game is getting also one shot, one of our teammates, flu into the sky and got killed and no one wasent able do rev. him, the speed and lags zombies plus lose containment levels makes the game not enjoyable@@KDDD10

I gained level but I did maybe 8 contracts before I went in and did those 3. I was at 5 and ended at 11. If you notice on your stats when you go into the DA it starts a new round and you get a eliminated for the 1st round and so I think that has something to do with it. If you go right into the DA then an elimination and only getting 3 contracts would probably make you lose the streak?
If you start one of those pillars up and then go away and do the main mission and then come back and start that pillar up again the spawn rate doubles.. and you may need mags of holding to not get overrun. Hands down absolutely the most constant stream of zombies I've seen in the game.
I was doing the new aether rift on solo with no Teammates , I got down a couple times while doing my missions, but successfully done… I got 2 v-R11 case and wonder waffle weapon only

you can refill a green gas mask, they just don't last as long as a durable, and storing green mask's in your bag, they all go down at the same time as the one you using, oh and use two battle rifles one with the chain saw attachment and one with the blow torch attachment kills everything instantly.
Man I just had the best round. Found TS, Elemental Pop, Ray Gun, Epic Tool, Mag of Holding, and VR11 schimatics lol and better yet we had a noob with us and he got all of that haha he was super stoked. 1st time he went to the DA too. We had a 5 man squad and had 3 min left in the elder. 1st time I went to the new elder also. Great match!
Do you have to do the first datk aether mission before this one or can you skip it? I never activated my tier 4 because I did the first one with a teammate who was going in and got all the schematics.
i got vr 11 scorcher and flawless atherium the last 2 from the worm but still all in one game is crazy

Doughnuts they might've gotten rid of your favorite loot spots. I just loaded in a few times in a row to try and find a large rucksack and 3 plate. Each time I went to the building in the north of Tier 2 and didnt find them in the lockers

You need to check the OTHER BUILDINGS around popov power... I thought the same thing at first but upon looking further than the end of my nose... I found 1 in a building to the west/southwest that has a set of 2 or 3 lockers in it...
The containment level bug is very annoying. Dropped two tiers before i noticed.
And if you die like I did, you lose two total.

The Scorcher is your best friend in there, plus at pap 3 you can charge it and shoot the ground when at the extractor. Not great but it dies work. Kazmires are a guarantee tho.

That doesn’t make sense if the content is quality then the game is quality. You play the game for entertainment at the end of the day
the targets is timed, i couldn't find one and ended up having to go get another target form the aether so make sure you know where they all are first
there is another exfil in the fog, where you got the bunny for the outlast go to top of building again and look to the fog it's north west as you look at the fog.
Is it there during the countermeasures mission? Im trying to go back in and get the mirror without having to do the whole mission over

I died to the mimic sadly because I rushed opening the portal but I did put everything on the pedestals.. does that mean I just need a sigil to open it now? Or do I have to restart the whole mission?.. please let me know
You can actually get into the store that Fletcher's squad is in, but you have to go around to the rear. Don't know if this actually helps with anything, but I did find this trying way too hard to find the cysts. If you're going into stores you're doing to much, they are all in the main T shaped hallway.

on that bulding for the rabbit at 18:30 u can take the backway there is a ledder you can take on the back of house instead of the stairs inside the house and btw on the shopping mall there is a portal rift on east bottom side u can take and parachut to the rabbit instead on the whole pyramid and claming and stuff

Have exfils been buffed?? As in MORE zombies?? I left game yesterday and AS SOON AS I POPPED THE EXFIL THERE WAS A HORDE LIKE NOTHING IVE SEEN BEFORE!! Lol it was really large something like over 100 kills just waiting for exfil! I like it I was just surprised
I died fighting the mimic at the portal and no one was able to rez me. It did give me permanent access to the portal but I still failed the boss fight. Thought I’d have to re do it, but here to share that you don’t and it’s okay.
I was in the new dark aether and I was so pissed bc I didn’t know where the exfil was and I lost like 3 flawless crystals and like 2 vr11 cases and I lost the mag of holding schematic and the blood burner schematic I was so pissed

the dark aether portal is bugged for me where I place down four items to unlock the portal, it's not appearing or working. I don't know if it's bug for only me... well, a few people have this bug too.

That containment level system is broken how do I go onto a match at lvl 29 and come out lvl 12 after reaching lvl 129

Stash over 10 I presume? Gonna have to begin using or destroying items that have you i excess of /10, ie 19/10, 17/10 14/10, etc. Get down to 13/10 you can exfil with 6 items.

I think this is actually a small possibility of happening with any mimic. I had that happen to a friend I was playing with, but it was by a Tier2 mimic in a building. It grabbed him on a stairwell and he went through the map and had to leave the match and lose everything.
after a long 5 hours 5 different matches I’ve achieved having a couple gold schematics, when I exfil after the game is over they all get took except purple rarity pls help
Yeah, Id wait until they fix all the bugs before attempting going after the new schematics. Me and my squad went into the final mission to get the purple items and werent allowed to bring the Pristine Mirror out. We attempted this 4 times with no luck and were only able to bring out the gloves and target.

i was in a random group lastnight i was on the exfil chopper and they went to the elder dark aether i voted no, i got the sucessful exfil screen then was pulled into the dark aether with a unpacked common weapon no perks or money and couldnt switch to my fists and they all died was not a good night

I just unlocked this yesterday i gave it try but the mangolor healed up after i was half way done i couldn't find a ammo create but is there a buy station anywhere all the missions before the boss at the end is easy
I joined a random team while grinding out camos for the new battle rifle, ended up going into the dark aether soon after. We completed all of the contracts but we didn't know where the exfil portals were, me and another teammate didn't make it :,(
The act 4 portal you have to actually beat the mission to get the exfil to open but its at the top middleish on the hill. Another in the fog you can see from where the outlast bunny is. I went in and did mission and left and went back to get the purple items and weeelll after getting them realised I had to do the mission to leave but there wasn't time :( didn't make it either lol
There's also an exit in the Police station!

Why is it that when I walk up to the pedestals and try to input the items I don’t see an icon? It’s not allowing me to place the items. I have all the upgrades too.
I've found the icons on pedestals are hidden by text unless you kind of stand to the side and look at an angle to see icon

Question, will I get the drum if I rerun the story mission? I did the story mission last week and got the drum in the rift reward, guess what? Game crashed and lost the drum (disappeared from my rucksack).
