This is the all-new Nissan Qashqai!
Also known as the Nissan Rogue in the USA and other countries.
It’s one of the most popular family cars out there, with over 3 million Qashqais sold to date! But now its in its third-generation, has Nissan made enough updates & changes to ensure it remains so popular?
Well the first thing you'll notice are the exterior designs, with updates from the new larger grille at the front through to an updated bumper at the rear, coupled with the larger 'QASHQAI' name-strap just above the reg plate.
The changes don't stop there though. Once you step inside, there’s a new infotainment system and a whole host of new tech, including a heads-up display - the biggest heads-up display for a car in this class! When it comes to performance, you'll also have a choice of petrol, mild-hybrid and hybrid engines to choose from.
But let’s face it, you’re probably not too bothered about performance if you’re buying a Qashqai, are you? You just want to make sure it’s comfortable, practical, and has nice new tech features! Want to find out if it meets your needs? Then you’ll have to keep watching and see!

Hi Mat here. Would you like to see more normal cars on this channel? Or would you prefer we focus on performance models instead?
Normal pls!
Both tbh.
Normal please
Normal!
can you review the new bmw 128ti ?
Matt slamming the hood on his head is the best weight demonstration I’ve seen so far😂
It seems legit tho🤣
@I WANT ŞĘX !!! SEE MY VÌDEÓ I want to see the car and not him!! ✂✂✂ 👉🚾. 😎
Matt looks like the cool Uncle who brings candies to all his nephews everytime he visits them
haha
lolol
😂
roofie candies
Very true
"Lets put a potato processor for the infotainment system. Just to get something beetween 10-15 fps. It's gonna be perfect for the famous family car. "
@F**UСК МЕ PLÈАSE !!! Chlorine and boron does not make salt
Probably just cuz it’s a preproduction model
Me crying in the CHR :)
Lmfao
Blame Bosh, they make the system. VW has the same software with exactly the same issue
Thank GOD they have finally updated the stone age interior
Well yeah it's a new car, they ain't gonna use old interiors lol
The interior was actually kinda nice imo.. Had a top of the range one with a sunroof, leather, etc once... Quite a nice car.
✌✌
And it looks, slightly less Stone Age lol
Can't compare it with a Peugeot, but it's ok and clean.
8:03 the editing just keeps getting better and better over time
true wahahha
Actually 8:04
Video volume editing keeps on failing though. Otherwise no complaints!
@@doniv7926 aKchUaLi
They'll never reach Jay Foreman level of editing though.
They're bloody everywhere! I thought I was imagining things until I decided to count them-I saw 5 before I got out of my road!
I live a 5 minute walk from Nissan. You should see the car park. It’s pretty much all brand new Qashqais, they’re all owned by the workers
Because they're bloody good cars!
@@BuildersM8 Nissan are definitely doing something right!
@@raymond596 nissan workers car scheme is all V registration plates. If it doesn't begin with a V somones bought it
@@BuildersM8 they're reliable and that's about it. They're ugly to look at, terrible ride and very unresponsive. If you want a practical mid size car these crossovers are not a good choice, better to go with an estate.
Nissan is really improving in quality
Carlos Ghosn is gone

I was expecting the chime to say " Riiiiiiiiidge Raaaaaaaaaccccccceeeerr!"
yeah I get that reference, that conference had so many memes lol
11:25 Matt forgot to throw out the boot lid 🤣🤣🤣
they updated the car in every single way and its beautiful
Mat is the only one who can make me want to watch a review on a Nissan Qashqai😂
Yay thank you CarWow!! I’m so happy you done this video!
I love Mat's reviews. That tailgate thing is spot on :)
This was the first ever carwow vid I came across, 4 months ago I remember watching this for the first time.
In recent past Mat had been quite carried away with his review, thanks this time a very thorough review, really enjoyed
Mat also updated his look too. Love it
I'm really liking this new wave of Nissan products! Is Nissan going to be cool again?? Maybe!
Best Qashqai review of all the ones I’ve seen today (I assume it’s the same car in the same studio). Looks good in Matt Blue Watson !
I love the interior! That instrument cluster looks really good and the centre console looks really nice too! I think I'd like the full hybrid version, sounds interesting.
Im genuine impressed with the job Nissan did with Qashqai 👏🏽
In the same time, they had only one job.
ჰჰუ ამ შემთხვევაში საქმე
Same also as they did in new juke.
Now do it to the GTR
@@grozaphy that would be a dreaaaam!!!
Some cars I really don't like them, but I really enjoying when Mat reviewing it 👌🏻
like Mercedes
loved the dropping the hood on your head test it actually gives a very good idea of weight on video which is hard
Every other family in the UK has a Qashqai. They are extremely popular.
I always think when I see loads of nissans on a drive, they must work for them, or knows somebody who does
Lol support your country. Support Sunderland! Stop buying German
@@blademanx I don’t support their football team, I am a Newcastle United supporter
@@matthewsmith2787 They're really built in Washington, which wasn't part of Sunderland until 1974 - and a lot of people there weren't happy about it.
Are they durable and low cost to run??
the front end design is quite unique, i like it
Sooo Nissan launches a new logo, puts in on a bunch of newly revealed cars and even on the cover hiding this new Qashqai... yet the new Qashqai keeps the old badge?
Slow rollout. I'm sure in time things will be more uniform and I do admit that's a weird decision. It's not as though the Qashqai is foreign to us... I've seen Qashqai's up near the Canadian border because that's what they're called up there instead of "Rogue". And the one he's in is even proper left hand drive. He also says it's "pre production" so MAAAYBE? but then again the new Rogue in the U.S. doesn't have the new badge yet either I don't think. The Armada was the first vehicle to get it.
It's not an old badge, it's the new one as they're looking at more of a 3d badge rather than 2d
@@andyhubbard5540 it's the old badge. The new badge is what was on the car cover before Mat tore it off. He even shows previous generations as he talks about the grille getting progressively larger and all of those badges are the exact same. This doesn't wear the new badge yet.
I really wanna see behind the scenes of filming when Matt gets in all these wierd positions to explain stuff. 😂😂😂 And reaction of all the outsiders watching it😂😂😂
Could watch this fella all day, great reviews 👍🏻👍🏻 this car still shouts ‘I’ve given up on life’ to me!
Glad they're still keeping an awd system available unlike the new jukd
Also, it seems that this one is a hybrid.
Suddenly Qashqai is on my shopping list again.
My mother have an old Qashqai for 13 years and it is still like a new one! The best car ever! You can't find that motor anywhere!
What a nice design!I want it to be sold in Japan!
Nissan did a good job by asking namco to create the light detection sound, if playstation had given it, it would surely be the PS2 startup sound.
From the side it kinda looks like the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 From the back it kind looks like the Lexus Rx300🤔 It's good looking thing that
4:15 is common Nissan problem and Matt is genius for showcasing this problem even in the preproduction car. Nissan please fix this battery issue before releasing this model. I am on my third battery on a four year old car.
This is going to be an amazing car, Mat! I absolutely love it
I think that Nissan know really how to make their cars look futuristic, I love it 😍
*cries in the 350 and the GT-R havent been restiled in 15 years*
finally you are talking about Nissan
I’m still blown away/confused how quickly Nissan turned things around. It feels like last year they were circling the drain, always had insane incentive deals to push inventory, not to mention the Ghosh drama. I hope they keep it up, and that they help Mitsubishi do the same! (Who doesn’t love an underdog story?)
OMG they actually upgraded the interior! Well needed! Great review Mat!
Nice! I’ll be looking for this when it comes to the States as the ‘Rogue Sport’
They discontinued the Rouge Sport last year. Sorry but they won’t be sending this.

I miss the days Nissan made their own engines instead of getting them from Renault.
BROOOO I MISS THE FREAKIN 240 SX. THE JDM MANUFACTURERS HAVE DISSAPOINTED US
Renault are the best
Nissan are deep into a full renovation now. For example, the 400z was one big part of that, and from what it's been said, they want to also distance themselves from Renault and buy back shares of the company that the french bought a while ago
@@Sneka97 But dude i miss the silvias and the z's
Without Renault, Nissan would of gone into liquidation in about 2004.
Great review Mat! This time you exceeded yourself by kneeling down and showing the underbody part!! This is pure motoring journalism! Keep up the great work ;-)
Hope this Qashqai will make it to the South African market we love crossovers and SUV's
except for the lamps it really looks the same as the last models :D
well I think that interior is similar to tipo 🤔(mostly at the right)
love your reviews matt
Such a lovely shape to the predecessor model, so happy and proud ill be making this model starting later this year looking forward to it.
Tiguan r, i definitely cannot wait for that review.
We already know that the most wanted car is the Suzuki Jimmy
I always thought it was called the Jimmy too but it’s actually Suzuki Jimny with an N

Nah it's the gr yaris
GR Yaris

I had a qashqai gen 1 and 2 at various times, both fantastic cars. This looks sick, but I have an M135i now and not ready to give up the power just yet to come back
The interior design and quality are just perfect, and now I’m sure that Nissan has done a great job in making a change on their products. However, I personally don’t like the CVT gearbox while our Australian market may have to stick to the CVT for another long while.
Richard Hammond would love this review
Why would he?
Damn my sister just bought the range topping 2020 Qashqai. She's not going to be too happy about this!
Why not, she had a good deal, buying an outgoing model, all model problems fixed. Smart sister you have.
Yousef Elraghy tell her I prefer the outgoing model to this new one, so it’s not all bad
Hi Mat! Congrats on the channel, I do love your contents, but the ads are just killing me: this is the 3rd one already on Nissan review?!.. I would definitely put up with them on performance cars, but on a Nissan.. anyway thanks for your reviews!
Having owned an Auto 'Tekna' from new in 2016, the 2021 Qashqai is a vast improvement again, love it. It could do with larger brake discs this time and personally I do miss having a CD player. But, I will seriously consider getting one later this year. Great review too!

🤣🤣🤣 so true.
That McLaren is more boring than the qashai
Most of car the reviews: Mclaren Artura Carwow: New Nissan Qashqai!
nobody cares about that stupid mclaren,we need real cars
Supercars = 😴
Those supercars and the push behind them help to improve the cars in the normal range. Don't tell me for a single moment you'd pick the Qashqai over a McLaren Artura if you had the chance.
Hi Matt. At 10:06 you mention the CVT gearbox "Droning a bit". I've had a previous gen QQ CVT for 3 years and they don't do that. They have "stepped" ratios, so sound like a conventional automatic.
My dad is so excited for this car He bought the original one and then he upgraded to the 2016 model Now hes counting days to get this car I almost fall in love with the original qashqai idk why but it was amazing looking when i was 11
When Mat reviews a car: "So what exactly happened?"
Thx u too Lol
NIIIIIIIIICE!!! Great job NISSAN! 👍👍🥰🥰🥰
A mixture of both pls Mat, Love the drop the bonnet on your head test i think you should do it on all your test cars, Cheers
Is it then possible to replace that 1.3 petrol engine with a huge battery for power to support that smaller battery and which is connected to motor ?
9:00 - almost break it
Broke it* Just want to help :)
@@bundeswehrrr4173 nice
His head must be broken when he was testing the new car because of which he closed the bonnet of the old one hardly🤣😂so techinicaly he broke 2 things......
Need to see it in different colours.
LOVE how it looks, I own one (2017 model) and the powertrain is awful at launch. Glad to see the torque is above 200nm with 60kg less in weight. The interior is amazing. Probablt will get the hybrid one.
Does it come with the obligatory Qashqai front fog light default on function? DRL"s + headlights + front fog lights = Nissan Qashqai or Nissan Juke.
I like the fact that it’s more aggressive looking
Looks a little like the front of a Lexus now! More techs and lovely dashboard!
@@kirill725 totally agree with you Krill. Good observations man.
I think the current Qashqai looks more assertive, athletic and aggressive.
Why does the headlight get thinner while generations are changing 🧐
what's the ground clearance of the new model . Is hill down control on 4wd ?
The previous exterior was already quite beautiful, it is stunning now, well done Nissan!
I like it, but they could have been a bit more adventurous with the interior design.
Finally nissan updated the interior. I hope they don’t ever put their interior in every line up they have again.
Go ride in a 2011 infiniti Nissan failed both companies
Hi Matt, what is the best choice if we do not consider the price of Nissan Qashqai higher than Suzuki Jimny? I use it mostly in a city with high traffic, I only go off the road on weekends
Looks better than the previous one and has a better interior design.
I love the design of the car.
Time to get your eyes checked. It's an ugly car. But mind you all crossovers are hideous sh*tboxes.
@@GameOvais stop don't say swear words
I think nissan makes some pretty good products now..
Yea

Love the led headlights😍
When you drop the bonnet on your head, lmaoooooooo
I was expecting a video about the Mclaren Artura 😂 But even the Qashqai is cool!
MacLaren is so booring Their cars can be from 2010 or 2021, they look the same. It's worse than BMW And they release so many "brand new cars" that nothing is surprising anymore
Hi Matt I work for nissan in Sunderland and can confirm we are releasing this model in April 2021 we are to start production at the start 👍
Hey Mat... Can you do a review on the 2021 Nissan Xtrail?

quite a nice update from Nissan. Looking forward to seeing you test drive it.
At least renault still supplies their engines to someone, unlike in f1 lol
This new Qoushquant (whatever name) is just pointless specially now after the release of the : iD.4..
True, they supply it to Mercedes too
More normal cars like the Qashqai Matt. Your practice of showing leg room, boot room etc lend itself to family cars as well. Cheers
I'm genuinely amazed at how successful this car is considering it is almost always bottom of customer satisfaction and reliability surveys!
Only thing that annoyed me were 1. No Diesel Engines 2, No DCT
A conventional automatic would be fine but CVT has been a disaster in Nissan cars in recent years.
There nothing wrong with it being diesel
Im happy my 2019 Qashqai has the 160hp DCT

Carwow and Matt is the best thing since the old Top Gear
Great improvement on the design.....am impressed
After I heard so much aero talk was expecting higher horses only to hear 160hp 🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽
That is just for ICE versions. The electric motor in the hybrid has 190 hp, which is actually pretty good.
@@doctoremil2678 the 30 extra hp to me is more like a compensation for the extra weight
I believe flat batteries are not uncommon on the Qashqai 🤔😂
Depends which battery you have. My Bosch battery in my Qashqai+2 is still going strong after 7 years.
@Do One My Bosch battery came with a 5 year warranty. Varta batteries only come with a 4 year warranty. Everyone's experience with batteries will differ due to their usage so I'm only saying what my experience of batteries and my Qashqai is.
Hello good morning Is the car's luggage 504 litres? Can I learn because some sources says 450 litres Thank you
Is the vw tiguan in the same category with the qashqai in england ? Coz in egypt its like 10k$ more expensive!
