[Instructional Book] Paracord Fusion Ties Volume 1: amzn.to/2VR8Arl
The Thin (Thin Line) Solomon Bar is a relatively simple way of generating the look of the "King Cobra" (i.e. Double Solomon Bar) Thin Line Bracelet with a leaner, more streamlined band. Branching off the "Support Bracelet" technique shown a few weeks back, this tying technique was just too cool not to point out. Hope you enjoy. Video production by J.D. Lenzen of tying It All Together.

  • I made a key fob using this video. A split ring was threaded through the looped end and finished off with the 2-strand diamond knot as shown here. For a 3.5 inch fob, that's the length of the knotted part not including the "tail", I adjusted the lengths of the cord accordingly: 3 feet for the outer cord, the one that's black in the video & 2 feet for the inner cord, the one that's blue in the video. I chose purple and white for Lent. I've made about 4 and given them them as gifts. Thanks JD!

    • I agree. I wish he wouldn't spend nearly four minutes on two knots... the pauses kill me. I'd much rather watch him work at normal speed and make a bunch of knots rather than only 2 and it take it half the video time... Maybe it works for a lot of people, and I don't mean to offend, but it just bugs me.

    • midgetkungfu You're not the only one, I even have his first book... At times not much more clear because a step seems to be over explained or named in an unusual way. A still frame shot with graphics showing the direction of movement would be great but I know that is a ton of work. Biggest hurdle for me is trying to figure out what I am supposed to be focusing on during his stops. There is loads of waste movement that pulls the eye in many directions at once.
