  • This is one of the best explanations of playing PLO I've heard. I've only started to get a little less crappy at Omaha lol. I like how he's explains different hand strength betting. How important position is and pretty much everything you need to know as a new player to get started in some free roll games at least.

  • The worst thing about PLO is when you're playing it regularly you won't be able to play Holdem. Cause simply you don't have the patience to wait for good hands, It is also very different in terms of odds so it's better to stick with PLO

    @AmirNasserr@AmirNasserr5 жыл бұрын
    • That's my problem right now. Although I do apreciate holdem tourneys more than omaha. I may not know the game that well. But it seems like omaha is better in a cash game setting..

    • Good holder players can easily adjust their ranges even if the absolute strength of their hands is much less polarized.

      @thetshirtblog@thetshirtblog3 жыл бұрын
    • Absolutely, that's why I switched to PLO. That and because I got sick of players just shoving with anything and getting lucky in holdem, probably wasn't happening as much as it felt like but in holdem it's sick when your strong starting hands keep getting cracked.

    • @@mikeabrahams679 I dont understand why PLO isn't more popular, starting hands are not so important and there's more action. I think starting out playing hold em it's best to stick to pot limit to begin with.

  • My favorite thing about PLO are the instances when folding the nuts is actually the right play. You get to check the BB with AJ67 no suits; flop is 589 with two spades. You check, first player bets pot, second player re-pots, and another player calls. Just fold the nuts. If you're up against a set and a flush draw you're an equity dog, and there's such a huge chance you're already drawing only to a chop you just get out. I made basically that fold once at a home game, showing one of my buddies as I folded it. Dude thought I was crazy until the turn when it got all-in and someone had flopped the same straight with the nut flush draw.

    @MrAndersonmm@MrAndersonmm7 жыл бұрын
    • @MrAndersonmm Yes, sometimes. You could also call and if a brick comes, shove....someone with the nut straight draw,flush draw could def repot on flop. The games I play in too many people are getting it in with draws and top set to let the nuts go on the flop.

      @troyhbk@troyhbk4 жыл бұрын
    • @@troyhbk In the situation described by the person you are replying to, I would have folded also. Flush draw and higher straight draw on the flop? If I was making side bets, I would make a hefty bet that the person with 7-6 and no redraws is going to be the loser on the river. I am talking about a full table with 6 or more people in the hand. The less people in the hand, the better your chances.

  • When you were talking about stealing pots when a flush hits board and you have the Ace, yes it’s a great way to steal but only in bigger games.. all the 1/2 2/4 I’ve played.. you can put someone all in on the river when the river brings out the flush and they will call with 9 high + I would say more often than not. Especially if they had say a straight with back door flush and it hits on river.. they will donk off in 1/2 games for sure

  • Playing a short stack with an eye towards multi-way pots can work. The idea is to get AI vs dead money or at least 2 opponents with premium runner hands. If you (~min) 3 bet, and figure any pot-sized 4 better likely has AAXX, it's still worth shoving with 8765 (or similar) and getting heads up with dead money in play, or vs 2+ callers.

I mean I really feel your passion, it makes your talking and thinking so quick i couldnt handle it. maybe watch it yourself at that speed, it really sounds how normals speed should sound like - imo. gl at the tables, and thanks for the great video
